Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussionvermont service center
Hello,

I am about to send my papers out for the I-751 process. I was wondering if anybody knows if I can send a personal check or do I have to send a money order?

I would appreciate any help.

Hey all to those of us waiting for interviews still I got cheap last minute tickets to come see my fiance this weekend so I am here in Montreal sending good vibes to the consulate to hurry up and schedule us!!

Awesome!! Thanks smile.gif Throw some fairy dust on the consulate too! star_smile.gif

Where did you get cheap last minute tickets? I keep scouring for those on lastminutetravel.com
nothing yet crying.gif

Actually I just went to USAirways website and they were practically giving away the last flight out on friday night and i took the "red eye" this morning so I could be at work by 9. Worked perfectly. Total cost with taxes $200 usd. I was very happy with that usually costs way more lol.

APPROVED!

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. You were right, it was so easy! It was the traveling and the waiting that was the hardest part. The interview literally took 5 minutes, she praised us on our neat paperwork, and just basically read through everything! She didn't even ask us how we met, she just read the paper we submitted with the I-129F and said, "wow you've been corresponding since 2005?" I'll write a review later tonight when I get home.

CONGRATS!!!

I am SO happy and excited that we got approved, this is like a dream come true .. My fiancee and I will finally be able to be together and start our life together biggrin.gif

For me the interview was kinda stressful though, but then again I often let the stress get to me too easily huh.gif
I was with 3 other couples and we had a nice time chatting and joking around together .. definitely helped get rid of some stress.
To those couples, it was nice sharing the interview experience with you. You all seem like great people and I wish you the best in your future life together smile.gif

Not to forget the people working at the embassy, they are all very nice and professional smile.gif

Congrats ChristinePR, nice to hear you got approved too smile.gif

Hey guys!!

I know this has probably been answered a million times but I am going to ask again and make it a million and one times smile.gif I am doing my affidavit of support (I-134) and if I make well above the 125% povert limit do I have to get bank statements and assests statements from stocks and bonds. I am thinking the answer is no but just want to make sure. I put my annual income, I am going to bring my 2007/2008 tax returns, I have a letter frm my employer, I am going to bring past three copies of pay checks. I also put down how much I think my current home is worth and how much I owe on it. (Is this part necessary?) If I do put my house information should I get a copy of how much I owe on my mortgage or just omit the whole house thing all together? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance smile.gif

I believe you only need prof of those assets if you intend on claiming it as part of your income. So, if you didn't make above the 125% range, you could include them to meet that level. But since you say you make well above, I really wouldn't bother. But if it would make you feel more comfortable and wouldn't care you much extra work, it can't hurt your case!

I'm the USC and I make more than the 125%. I still had to provide 2008 tax returns (the real one) but, I also included tax transcripts from 2006-2008 along with copies of my 2008 W2s. Those things specifically were requested... the rest I gathered b/c I didn't want there to be any questions! lol In addition, I provided a letter from the bank stating info about my account (when it opened, total amount of deposits for past 12 months), I also had my past 6 (most recent) pay stubs, a printout from my online banking with accounts and balances, as well as letter from my employer stating that I'm an employee in "good standing" and that I make X amount of money as well as a form stating that I will be returning next school year. Lastly, I also included info for my retirement accounts... printouts from accessing my accounts online.

As for the information regardng your home's worth, yes, it is required b/c the info is on the I-134 and you do need to know about how much you still owe on the property.

Isn't this FUN!!??!! lol

I can't beleive I need to bring print outs of my 401k plan. What a pain in the butt. I am just going to print the stements that I can see online, I would have no idea who to contact to get the information "certified" from the people who hold my 401k. I am just going to submit my 1099 that i received at the end of 2008 showing what my principal balance was on my home at that time. I think that should be good enough. I guess I will go get my checking account bank letter and savings account, better to be safe than sorry. Just seems crazy to me if we earn over the limit why all that other stuff is necessary. Government lilkes to know your whole life story I guess.

Yes it sure is!! Though fiance seems to think we will have to wait 4-6 months for an interview. I told him that it looks like it is running about 2 months from when u send in your package 3, I told him interview will be in July most likely. He doesn't believe me, I think I am going to bet him!! Hello all!

Does anyone know if form DS-156K expires. I'm still waiting for my packet 3 (was sent April 17th) and decided to start on the forms, but then I saw that they assign a bar code unsure.gif Is that a problem?

I also filled out DS-230 and DS-156K Anyone else got a head start?

I have completed the Ds-230 and Ds-156 (not sure if still needed but did it anyways) and DS-156K for my fiance, that way all he has to do is sign the DS-230 and mail it in with the checklist. Looks like our packet 3 was sent out at the same time, my fiance has not received it yet either.

I play Alliance on Kelthuzad, this is a west coast PvP realm

How bad is the ganking there? I like playing on a high population server, but I don't like the lags and queues.

CBR:

I'd help ya out, but I have absolutely no idea rofl.gif

Ganking is about medium I would say, I mean it is PvP so it happens. I haven't had a queue in awhile but sometimes lag in Dalaran is a pain especially around when wintergrasp starts. though I llike being on such a high population server, lots of stuff always going on smile.gif

Hello fellow WoW people!!

I can't remember if I posted her or not, I don't think so but if it's a repeat I am sorry.

My fiance and I met on WoW last March (2008). Funny thing is we met on an alt run through zf that my friend was goign to take me on. My friend said "hey do oyu mind if we take this sorry looking hunter through ZF he looks like he needs gear. I said sure why not (I was leveling a mage so there was no gear issues). Low and behold we started talking the three of us, found out he had a 70 warrior and warlock. We talked everyday after that though didn't raid together because we were in different guilds at the time and neither one of us wanted to change guilds until Lich King. Anyways we met for the first time in Niagra Falls July of 2008 and have been together ever since traveling back and forth monthly and raiding (now in the same guild) on the weekends. We call them our nerd dates LOL!!

He has now a level 80 Warrior

I have now a level 80 Shaman (resto) and level 80 priest (shadow).

Server Kel'Thuzad, Alliance.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionWhat evidences did you submit?
DEFINITELY put your name and A# on every single piece of paper you send. Even if you put everything in a "presentation" folder.....On the interview on this site with an ex-employee that used to approve these things he stated everything is taken out of any pretty little package you send and is put into their folder the way that they arrange all of the files.......and if any of this gets misplaced around on someone's desk you don't want it getting lost....the best thing ever to do to keep it all straight is to surely put your name and info at the top of each and every paper!!!

It's kind of like a "no-brainer"!

As far as copies go...yes, send only copies unless it states that you must send an original.

Good luck!

QUOTE (russian_armenian @ May 3 2008, 04:00 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
No, you don't write name and A# on your evidences. You should prepare kind off like presentation folder. If you put separators-do it on the bottom. Cover letter hsould list all of your docs. I was told by lawer to send only copies-so, even pictures were printed on reg paper.

It is acceptable to black out account numbers, you are a fool if you do not. I do not think they give you the documents back, which means at somepoint, they will end up being disposed of, which means if not done properly you could be at risk of having fraud take place. Yes this happens more than someone would think.
