This was not an easy decision I had to make, its been going on for months and months. I was with my bf for 2 years, we are not the perfect match.. we fight ALL the time, get into arguments, he swears at me alot... etc. I have done so much for him, but I cant be getting married to someone and this continues. So after months and months of thinking, crying.... wishing he would change, I decided to end it. It was the best for me, and I am doing just fine. I know I put so much work into this... papers.... money..... all the waiver work ( yes for 601) but at this point my happiness and health is more important. Please ALL keep me posted on journey..... its best to message me ... that way I dont miss it. Love Oasis. Hey Oasis, I admire your strength and determination.. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Colombia Club Part II	Happy New Year everyone. My fiancee's POE was Sunday in Orlando and all went smoothly. It took about 25-30 minutes start to finish. One question for you all - Did immigration keep the entire contents of the sealed envelope at your POE? I haven't been researching the AOS process too much yet, but I'm pretty sure we will need her birth certificate (and the translation at this stage) which they kept. I had thought we'd get it back at POE. I guess we should start working on having her family get another copy (or three) of it to send up since we don't want any delays in filing AOS once we get married. Anything else that we should be aware of? We want to get anything else we could possibly need from Colombia in one shipment both to save her family too much inconvenience and to save the cost of shipping multiple envelopes. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Colombia Club Part II	Hi all sandra is now in seattle finally. we did not have to pay the exit tax since it was included in the ticket but we did have to pay 300 dollars since each of her bags weighed 100 lbs. she had 2 bags i am glad that was all. poe went smooth my plane arrived 1 hour after her and i only waited around 15 min. no she is adjusting to the cold but she is doing fine with it since we are not doing much outside Awesome!!	kennym	Male	Colombia	2010-12-12 23:20:00

The POE Experience was fairly straight forward, They would not allow me to be with her for the interview, so I waited at the baggage claim.. It took about 45 minutes.. She was a bit frazzled, but overall, she's great about letting things roll off and not dwelling... Also, our exit tax was interesting.. Apparently they dont charge exit tax to a Colombian Citizen leaving the Country to live outside Colombia.. If Continental charged you $35 USD, you shouldn't need to pay anything else... I often travel on Continental/Copa and have never paid additonal Sales Tax... It seems the only time you pay exit tax is when you purchase your ticket on a foriegn carrier such as direct with Copa, Avianca, AeroLiteral, or someone like that..
