QUOTE (Dylan&Douglas @ Feb 11 2009, 10:59 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
hi there!

this is regarding evidences,..like plane tickets, hotel receipts etc..etc,..do i need to bring original or photocopy?

Hi,

Any originals you can get is good. Photocopies are OK. I scanned and sent many copies for Shir and the counsel did not say anything about them.

I also had lots of originals from hotel bills and such so maybe counsel was convinced but them.

I think the main issue is to have lots and lots of evidences. The more the better. This shows that you are serious and truly want to be with your SO. This desire is the most important aspect of the interview. Shir was asked to show very little. I believe this was because she showed her love in her eyes and in her voice when she spoke about me and the counsel could see this.

If your heart is pure you will have no troubles.

But then I am a romantic so what do I know... innocent.gif

Here in Iowa there is a Small Business Administration (SBA) . Here they are located on the campus of the University of Iowa. http://www.uiowa.edu/

Its a free service to people trying to start a small business. They help with business plans and provide information on groups that can help you and even point to local banks that assist start up companies. I worked with them when I started my winery and they helped me to build a business plan and set starting pricing for my wines. I found them to be really helpful.

I would expect there is a branch of the SBA located near you. By all means stop in and speak to them.

The SLEC will be the one to forward your passport to the embassy if you pass the medical.
PhiLandShiRFemalePhilippines2009-02-15 21:33:00
PhilippinesSeptember 2008 K1-Filers (Filipino)
It takes about 10 working days, 2 weeks, for the paper to get from NVC to Manila. Then another 2 to 4 days for the staff in Manila to get it all punched into their computers. At that time you can call and schedule your interview.

After you get the NVC letter with the MNL200xxxxxxx number you can also start getting your medical. The guards at St Lukes really want to see the appointment letter from USEm but will allow a medical without it if you can sweet talk them... smile.gif
You will get the appointment confirmation letter mailed directly to you there in the Philipppines after you or your SO schedule the interview.
You will require at least one week between the medical and your interview date.

Good luck to all

And, do i still have to bring I-864 or affidavit of support? passed it already tho and all the required docs to NVC before like police cert, nbi, etc. do i still have to bring them again during my interview? No problem with nbi coz it's easy to get it, but the police cert from other countries, no more time to request for it again. Would do still ask me for it during my interview or NVC sent it to Manila?

I hope anybody could help me with those coz i'm really worried and clueless on what docs to bring during interview.

Hello Everyone!

I few weeks ago I posted asking about a quality rice substitute that I could find here in the States.

Many kind folks told me about a type called Jasmine.

I found this rice in my local grocery store in 25 pound bags. Thats a bit over 11 kilos.

The price on this bag was $24.99 UDS. Thats 1150 PHP.

About a buck a pound.

Is this a good price or should I keep looking??

Thanks!!

PhilippinesDREAMS
A dream is just a dream...

It is only about YOU, no other.

QUOTE (mrsartis @ Feb 24 2009, 11:53 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
hi there im here again just to post some questions that keeps on bothering me and what i have heard/read about them.

DO yo u have dreams that keeps on recurring? different plot maybe but same idea? or same characters different scenario?

here are my dreams that keeps on recurring in my lifetime..

EARTHQUAKES- they just keep on coming back whether i was in the office , at home or somewhere in my dreams there will always or most of the time earth quakes. according to one site this is the meaning of it

Earthquake
To dream of an earthquake, suggests that you are experiencing a major "shake-up" that is threatening your stability and foundation. The dream highlights your insecurity, fears and sense of helplessness. Is there something in your life that you feel at "fault" for?

If you find cover from the quake, you will overcome these challenges. If you become trapped or injured during the quake, you will suffer some sort of loss in your life.According to the bible, earthquakes symbolize God's anger and power
.[/size]

-->now does that mean God is mad at me? am i a bad person? makes me feel guilty of the unknown<---

its now weird because whenever i dream of earthquake before i get really scared and my heart was pumping/beat so loud that i can hear it. NOw just this mornig , i had another dream of it.. the earth was shaking ( but hey guess what ? i didnt get scared anymore) yippeee..

BEGINNING OF APOCALYPSE-- or was it just apocalypse.. (i would see the plane crashes, the time goes so fast that the sun goes up and down, starts are falling burining some places around the world (i know starts are bigger then the earth, but hey, i cant control my dreams) floods, people are yelling, calling for help and sometimes they die in my dreams.

-sometimes i can see the moon soooo close to us like it was soo huge but like half?you can see that something just took a slice of it..

-The only good thing about it, is it ended.. like a fairy tale, that after all said and done and everything was happened I AM ALIVE (THE GRASS IS NEW, AND GREEN, FLOWERS EVERYWHERE AND THE AIR IS FRESH AND IM AT THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN) I just love the feeling of it.. but of course

here are the interpretations fromt he same site..

AIRPLANES
To see an airplane in your dream, indicates that you will overcome your obstacles and rise to a new level of prominence and status. You may experience a higher consciousness, new-found freedom and greater awareness. Perhaps you need to gain a better perspective or wider view on something. ?If the airplane is taking off, then it suggests that an idea or plan is about to "take off" and be put into action. It may also represent you need to get away and escape from your daily life.

To dream that you transfer planes, implies an important transitional phase in your life which will take you away from your intended path. These changes will take you to new directions and new heights of status and recognition.?

To dream that you miss your connection flight, indicates that you are feeling helpless and trapped by some situation. You feel that you are being held back, either physically or mentally. Alternatively, the dream may also suggest that you are feeling disconnected in some aspect of your life - work, relationship or home life.?

To dream that an airplane is hijacked, signifies disturbing feelings and past emotions in your unconscious mind. **See The Meaning In Action: "On The Airplane" & "Plane Crash"

Airplane Crash
To dream that a plane crashes, suggests that you have set overly high and unrealistic goals for yourself. Your goals may be too high and are impossible to realize. You are in danger of having it come crashing down. Alternatively, your lack of confidence, self-defeating attitude and self-doubt toward the goals you have set for yourself is represented by the crashing airplane; you do not believe in your ability to attain those goals. Loss of power and uncertainty in achieving your goals are also signified.

Plane
To see a plane in your dream, may be a pun on someone or something that is "plain".

APOCALYSPE
To dream of the apocalypse, signifies an emotional and dramatic change taken place within. The dream may also indicate the end of one kind of lifestyle and the beginning of another.

Flood
To dream that you are in a flood, represents your need to release some sexual desires. If the flood is raging, then it represents emotional issues and tension. Your repressed emotions are overwhelming you. Consider where the flood is for clues as to where in your waking life is causing you stress and tension. Alternatively, the dream may indicate that you are the one who is overwhelming others with your demands and strong opinion.

To see a gentle flood in your dream, indicates that your worries over a certain matter will soon be swept away.

"How did you cook it outside?"

PhilippinesWhat is an ITR

I sent IRS transcripts for Shir to use and the Pre-screener DID NOT KNOW WHAT THEY WERE!

It took sometime for Shir to explain what the difference was between a 1040 and the transcript. The Pre-screener would still not accept them and returned them back to Shir with instructions to show them to the Consul if asked about why there was no 1040 in the packet. She was never asked so we still have them...

For the I-134 requirements I have sent her a copy of my last three years W2 statements, a letter from my employer with all pertinent information, a letter from my bank with the info that they ask for and a copy of my last three pay stubs as well. She however, asked me if I sent my ITR's. I am not familiar with this. Can someone explain to me the difference between your W2 statements and an ITR and if she will need that at her interview. Thanks for your help.

ITR = Income Tax Return (e.g. 1040, 1040a) and yes they will ask for it.
You can either send a copy of the return you submitted or you can get a tax transcript from the IRS

PhilippinesBringing younger sister from phil
There are twelve sponsoring au pair agencies designated by the State Department. Host families typically pay these agencies an application fee and a program fee which varies from $5,500 to $7,200, depending on the agency used. The program fees cover expenses related to the arrival of the au pair and compliance with regulations governing the program. These include, but are not limited to, airfare, medical insurance, mandatory 32-hour education session on child development and safety and other expenses. Au pairs pay fees which vary depending on the US agency and the home country agency they use (if they do not apply directly to the US agency).

PhilippinesWill My Fiance get the Results for Her Medical Exam???
If she has a problem they will tell her about that and set up the required treatments.
If she passes she will not get her passport returned to her on the 2nd day and St Lukes will send everything over to the embassy. In order to link up her medical with the interview she will need to have the interview scheduled before she goes to medical. I believe the interview notice from the embassy is required before she can gain entry to St Lukes...

She can ask all the questions she wants but its a production line process and the staff may not have time to provide answers.

Good Luck!!

She wanted to wait to schedule the Interview until after the exam because she wanted to make sure we had no issues with the exam. She was only concerned, because she has never had a medical exam before. I tried to persuade her to just schedule the interview and we could cancel or postpone it if issues arised, but she did not want to do this. Will they tell her the results? Thanks

I will be having my medical on 24th & 25th and I do not have the appointment letter from embassy since we dont have the interview schedule yet. I know it is a bit early to have it done now but I guess as what others did is no problem.

My question is, what do I need to bring with me on my medical? Am I correct that the scanned letter from NVC and the NOA2 are fine?

In addition, my husband is coming home soon (he will be arriving same day on my medical) and will probably stay here through my BIG day (depends on the schedule though). We are going for a K-3 interview and I have everything ready except for some things that will comes from my husband. So now, to complete the requirements, what are the other necessary documents that my husband needs to bring with him?

Moreover, if there is anybody here who will going to have her medical as well, pls dont hesitate to reply. I would be happy to meet you there.

Any input would be much appreciated.

Thank you all in advance!

Our Visa is on its way, so the long and tortuous path through US Immigration approval of a Fiance Visa is finally almost at its end.

The other day I found out about a procedure Maria needs to do called the Exit Seminar through CFO, and it scared the heck out of me; since, no instructions anywhere in the whole ordeal we have been through mentioned it. We found out by accident, so now we will get that done too.

This of course raises the question of what else does she need to do that we have never been told about. I saw mention in my hours of research to find out about CFO, that there is a form she will need to complete called the I 94; however, this seems to be done when she arrives in the airport in the US with US Customs and Border Patrol. My memory in all this reading the other day speaks of some Philippine Emigration Form that will be needed too, but now I can't find reference to it anywhere. Maybe that is just a bad dream.

Aside from the Visa which is soon to arrive from the Embassy with Air 21, and the CFO Exit Seminar she must attent and pay for, are there any other procedures or forms she needs to do before they will let her get on an airplane with me. Is there a Philippine Emigration Form we need to complete and get notarized etc?

Thanks once again for any advice given. VJ has been a god send for me, and I've been going on daily now answering questions for others.

Remain calm and cool. Answer every question with honesty good.gif

Now is the time to set aside any shyness you might have. Be bold and confident. If you can't hear properly or do not understand a question, speak up and tell your counsel!!

Do not guess about anything. If you do not know an answer say so!

It is perfectly ok to say such things as: "I need to look that up in my notes" or "I do not know that answer"

Of course the fewer of those the better so review everything!!

You will pass this test! yes.gif

I have had the same thoughts even though my SO says its not going to be a problem Good Luck to you and thats nice that you have thought about that, we are kind of far away in Tennessee.

The internet makes everyone close. Yahoo phone calls PC to PC are free and I plan to build my love the best PC I can get parts for.

I have a good DSL line so VoIP is clear and clean.

After she gets here maybe your wife will change her mind. I am sure Shirryl would love to chat sometime.

PhilippinesI live in Iowa
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and all will have a wonderful New Year!

I am trying to locate people to gather with after my love gets here. I worry she will miss talking to her family and I want to find others here in Iowa that she can chat with and call on the phone. Maybe even get together with from time to time.

I am worried she will get bored and not be happy.

If there are others here in Eastern Iowa in the Iowa City and Cedar Rapids area please drop me a line so we can connect up after she gets here.

Thanks

Greetings everyone.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and for those still waiting I wish you speedy NOA2!!!

Speaking of NOA2... I have been sent 3 letters now from NVC telling me they have sent my application to Manila...

All 3 are exactly the same...

I wish I could have gotten this kind of service months ago!! smile.gif
