PhilippinesUsing a Law Firm for Philippines K-1 Visa
Hang in there. You have your entire life ahead of you to laugh about all this. blush.gif

I also used a lawyer. Mostly cause I was not aware of this site before I filed.

As far as the lawyer goes...

You need to remember one thing. For you this K1 is a lifetime event, for the lawyer, its a task on his to do list.

I am not suprized at all to hear that the application was tabled while this guy went on vacation and you had to pitch a major ###### to get another to work on it. After all, it would only be another task on the 2nd guys to do list and I expect his was already full...

A lawyer is not going to see this process as anything more important than paying bills on a Saturday afternoon is to you...

As for you, its an event of biblical import...

Its all perspective...

Please do not think for an instant I share his opinion. I know how you feel and understand the pain completely.

Just hang in there, Have faith and it WILL work out! good.gif

I believe that unless something nasty like TB is found, your SO can get every shot she needs right there, all for the price of the medical.

All bets are off is she is pregnant however...

Cool. I thought she wasn't gonna have enough $ with her.

But wait! Doesn't the doctor decide what vaccines she needs? Is there a possibility that she will need some that do cost extra? Or do ALL vaccines come included?
Thanks.

PhilippinesAre Filipinas Vampires?
I agree completely. My beautiful wife has the most delightful brown skin and I love it!! good.gif

She has some scars on her legs that she is so embarrassed about but I just point out other women who also have some skin problems and she see's they are not worried.

I think its working as she was willing to go out this past weekend with shorts for the first time. kicking.gif

Although she did put Band-Aids over the 2 scars she is most worried about. Someday I hope she will understand that people don't care about that sort of thing.

I think she is beautiful no matter what!! star_smile.gif

Philippinesmed exam?
Shirr waited until I called Manila to set up an interview. Our paperwork arrive there about 10 days after NVC received it. Manila took about 10 days to get everything entered into their computer systems.
In all about 2 weeks total or so...

I think St Lukes will want to see the interview letter before they allow her to enter but it might all depepnd on how busy they are on any given day...

She said that the guard at the clinic needed her NVC letter for the MNL #, and the lady inside needed her "appointment letter" email from the embassy.
She said that it was super-busy, like 200 people in the clinic.
Anyway, she passed and we are praising God right now. Now her and her mother have an extra day in Manila to celebrate along with 8,000 pesos! good.gif

I agree with all of this. Be confident and straight forward. Be Honest!!

I scheduled my beloved's interview to be on my birthday and I honestly think the one question that locked in her visa was: When is his birthday?

What caught me off guard was the CO's question about my then fiance's favourite food...didn't expect it.

He also asked me if I talked to other men online before I met my husband and I honestly answered yes..when he asked me why I chose my now husband I just said "because he makes me laugh"

Definitely keep it simple.

Mine was "What's his favorite color?" unsure.gif I was like, seriously? Then I realized, he asked about it because he was looking through David's emails to me and the font's colors he used to write them were red, pink, green, blue, purple, yellow... very colorful... I guess the CO found it amusing that a guy like David who's a retired Army likes colors. LOL! I think the highlight of my interview was when he asked me "How did you know that you will be the last wife?" So with all my heart, I told him how David and I feel about our relationship and our future life together. He was impressed, I could tell. But he didn't say I was approved too. He just said everything looks good and that I wait till they call your name again. Of course it didn't take long for them to call me again since I was second to the last person that they interviewed and by the time I had my interview, the embassy was already closing and cleaning up. BTW, I was there for 7am interview and got done around 4:30pm. Long day!

To the OP, tell your fiancee to make eye contacts with the CO whenever he's asking her questions and whenever she answers them. Look straight in the eye... that would mean a lot to them that you can answer the questions and confident about it. Keeping the answers simple is good too, not unless you really need to elaborate. Tell her to be herself and don't look like everything's been rehearsed. COs could tell that... they're trained for that.

Hello everyone,

My poor wife is so sick from the nausea of her pregnancy. She is not sleeping well and can not eat without vomiting it back up 15 minutes after eating. crying.gif

I am worried about her health and the health of the child.

Is there anything any of you ladies from the Philippines can tell me that she could take to help reduce the nausea? What do you ladies do to get through this trying time? She calls her mother everyday and that helps I am sure but as her mother has had 10 children its all old hat to her and she is not really all that sympathetic...

I plan to speak to our doctor this afternoon as well.

i've been looking at different timelines of VJ members and i've noticed some just received their GC without interview. Im just wondering who are qualified under this section and who are those who still needs to be interviewed for their AOS application.

I arrived here under K3 visa and i applied for AOS. I already got my EAD and just waiting for status for my AOS. Anybody had the same case as mine and got their GC already? If yes, did you undergo an interview with your USC husband or you just got your GC on the mail?

I'm not sure but I noticed the ones who had to attend an interview came in with K1 visa..does a K3 visa holder adjusting for status still needs an interview?

Hope somebody can answer to my inquiry. Thanks in advance. biggrin.gif

PhilippinesSHE PASSED!!!
Your next step is to wait for the passport and visa to be delived by Air21.

After you receive that, go to:

COMMISSION ON FILIPINOS OVERSEAS
ST. MARY EUPHRASIA FOUNDATION. INC.-CENTER FOR OVERSEAS WORKERS
good shephers convent, 1043 AURORA BLVD, 1108 QUEZON CITY

So you can get the CFO stamp and sticker. If you have an office closer to where your SO lives you can use that one. Shirr an I went to the Quezon City office cause it was close.

Both are required before you can exit the Philippines.

PhilippinesDumb Question...how do you know if passed Medical?
Oh Wow... I am so sorry to hear this...

There is very little I can say that will make either of you feel better.

I will say that both of you need to take a deep breath and collect yourselves. This journey is not over for either of you and can very well end up just as you planned.

Your SO has NOT been denied!! This is the important thing.

If you can get there, go visit her. I know it will make both of you feel better. And I would guess, almost insure an approval when interview time comes. What better proof of a relationship than being together in your time of need??

You are not done yet. No one ever said this process is easy. Many others have been in your shoes and many others will follow after you. The woman you plan to marry needs you now. Show her that she made an excellent choice!!

Everyone here grieves with you but to plan a funeral is a bit premature!! Take a deep breath and move on! I know you both can complete this!!
