K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	13 Days, still no NOA1	Hello Steve & Karla, I was on the same situation like you guys are. It took about 12 days before we had our NOA1. My fiance mailed our petition Aug. 10 and we didnt hear anything about it til Aug. 22 when he received an email that they have our I-129f packet. We received the NOA1 hardcopy on Aug. 28. I was worried too during the time that we didnt hear anything or got any notice coz i saw others have their NOA1 after just a few days when they sent it. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	2nd Senator Contact	thanks for your reply. I know that I am not the only person that has waited 6 months. I am me though. And I think I've waited too long as it is. If anyone else wants to contact their representative, then go ahead. If they feel fine waiting, then that's fine too. I did what I did, and I'm not sorry. I know how you feel coz I was like that too! When we pass to the 5 month waiting time we started to contact our congressman and 2 senators... After 2 weeks we heard something from our case... We got an RFE and it was fine at least we know they are working on our case... Our rationale about contacting our congressman and senators is not to get ahead of others though! It is more like to satisfy ourselves that we did something other than waiting... If writing or contacting those people won't help us well at least we know we tried every possible way we know which could help us and our case... And lucky for us that it did work out... I know how you are feeling... Been through it and still through it... USCIS sent us an RFE email notification last Feb. 6 and after 13 days of waiting another RFE email notification was received yesterday so fiance called USCIS and was told they just sent the mail yesterday and the email received ast Feb. 6 was just an error... So we hope this time we will get the RFE mail soon and that our RFE is something easy to comply.. been really thinking what we did wrong or what we lack when we passed the petition... Later in the day we receive another RFE email notification.. So fiance called USCIS and asked about it. They told him they just mailed the RFE mail today,,, WOW! So those 13 days we are waiting for nothing! And how could they sent an RFE notification twice? Was it an error the first time? I called USCIS this morning to ask them about their progress, and was told by a Tier 2 that they were processing JULY 2nd, which is NOT when I applied! I am an August 6th filer through VSC, and while on the phone, I received a text notification & email! Once I hung up with the USCIS officer, I logged on to check my case status, and BOOM! Approved on February 19, 2013!!! 197 days!!! So strange! Overjoyed, nonetheless! I hope everyone else is one step closer to receiving their NOA2s! I wonder why it happened that way? The officer was just telling me to wait another month, and that they were processing a totally different date from mine, but then VIOLA! I got my approval!
