As for how helpful they are, I can't speak from personal experience. I'm guessing it's highly dependent on the individual elected representative. Tell ur fiance to follow those links so he could find the specific people he needs to reach out too... From what state is your fiance? Each state has 2 Senators and he is under a district with a congressman... they don't get fees... all you have to do is just call their office tell your concern or problem. basically they will let you fill out a privacy form. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Problem with I-129 F Approval Validity	Earlier today I got a packet in the mail from US Embassy Manila. In it is a letter informing that our petition is approved and I can pay the visa fee and schedule for an interview already which we already did. Another thing in there is a copy of the I-129F form which has a stamp that it was approved and I noticed there that it says that the action taken is only valid for 4 months. In our case it is 3/7/13 to 7/6/13.  I really don't know what the validity means though... I am thinking now that maybe we need to be interviewed on or before 7/6/13 but that is the problem now because our Interview date is on 7/26/13. I don't know what to do now...   Should I call USCIS or the US Embassy for extension of the Validity? Is there a form we need to fill out? What proper steps should we take this time... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Something wrong with Affidavit of Support	I will be having my interview on Sept. 26 (Thursday next week). I just received the documents from my fiance today like the affidavit of support and the supporting documents... As I was going through the papers I noticed that in the form I134 in question 10 he answered NONE and in question 11 checked the box do not intend...  What will happen to me during interview if those questions were wrong?   And I have a daughter(7 yrs old)  coming with me, does he have to fill out another I134 for her? I never really experience this nor did we expedite our process before but I will suggest that you better call USCIS and tell them you want to expedite your case and state your reason. USCIS Service Centers	Is CSC going slow?	I noticed this as well, although it has started picking up today. I wondered if maybe since Vermont is so far behind, maybe California is sharing some of the work load. I'm not sure. I hope that California is sharing with Vermont, even though I want my hubby over here as much as anyone I feel awful for people who are having to wait nearly a year. By the way we should keep in touch, your NOA1 is August 10 and mine is August 9. sure i will... I noticed this as well, although it has started picking up today. USCIS Service Centers	Is CSC going slow?	It sounds like you are complaing to me...hahaha. We are July Filers and we just got our NOA2 yesterday and have our appointment set for next month. wooo hooo Only kidding, we have to wait until at least February, just be thankful you are not with VSC. im not complaining at all.. just wondering though... hehehe... Im not complaining or anything but everyday I really check the Immigration timeline here in VJ and notice that lately there has not much approved petitions coming from CSC... I notice that for most July filers it takes more or less 80 days to get approved compared to June filers who got approved more or less within 70 days...
