I've been trying to track our petition on DHL for two days. I know im doing it right, cuz all the other shipments pop up, non of them going to Slovenia. I got an email from NVC yesterday saying they forwarded it to the embassy

I would have to agree with you there they don't seem to be doing anything in order.. Seeing that theres so many later jan filers being approved way before the ones that did theirs earlier in the month.. How is this being justified?

If all of your paperwork is in order, you should be OK. Olga said, in retrospect, the anguish while anticipating the interview was a whole lot worse than the actual interview. All questions were covered here on VJ.

Hey there,

Well that was a day i will never forget... Was in the embassy over 5hrs made the day very long indeed.. Well all the paperwork was all in order, there's a "BUT" coming here.... They have questioned me about my divorce paperwork as it seems my divorce papers don't have either words of FINAL DIVORCE or ABSOLUTE DIVORCE on it... Mines says DECREE OF DIVORCE & explained to the woman that scottish laws to divorce is very different to the english divorce laws.. So she proceeds to tell me that she has to look into this now to make sure i am divorced.. So feel kinda in limbo today after hearing that. She did say that i will get my passport back with visa stamped in it within 5-7 working days once she has cleared up on the matter.. So didn't come out of there feeling all the wooppeeeeeee's in the world... :unsure:

It's good to see that the jan filers are nearly there.. I received my packet 3 a few days ago & i'm just glad with all this time i have on my hands being off from work for the past 5wks after having major surgery.. The paperwork is coming together & even gone to the length to go to the doctors & get a copy of my immunizations record & get the vaccinations thats required.. This will save a lot of time & expense to get these done at the medical.. Now i'm just waiting to get the paperwork from my fiance & my future sister in-law to send over to me & i will then be ready to get my medical & interview booked.. I want to make sure i get all of this right & will take my time with it all.. I'm really getting excited cause we are getting there.. :thumbs:

Thank you all so, so, so very much from the bottom of our hearts. :) Your support is keeping Peter and I happy. He tried to cheer me up in the best way he knows how, by making me laugh until I cry instead of crying for other reasons. We talked on the phone for 4 hours today, more than we usually do, and now that I've had 8 hours for it to sink in I'm feeling confident that it will easily be dealt with and we'll have our approval soon. I'm not sure how quick Denmark is when it comes to visas, but I've heard only good things from the Copenhagen Embassy, so we'll see. As long as he's here by July I'll be a happy girl. Thank you all again, you guys are the best and I hope we don't all lose touch once we have our hubbies and wives with us. (L) (But they'd be a pretty convincing distraction!)

Hi to everyone in here. I met my guy online in Dec 2007, but we knew of each other before really getting together. We've been together 16months now & we are engaged. We are so happy that we met the way we did. He is my soulmate. I took my first trip out to America March 2008 & stayed for the two weeks, so i could get to know him better. You just know when you have met the man of your dreams. It was hard to return home to the UK. Then i planned my next trip back over & this time i was gonna stay much longer 3months in total. So i returned again in August 2008 til nov 2008.. Before going home in Nov he proposed to me which i was totally over the moon. So we are planning to be married at the end of the year.. Plus i'm going back out to America again in April for another 3months. I'm needing some advice on what should we be doing in order for us to get married? Does he need to apply for a K1 visa for me?
Any advice would be much appreciated. All we want is to be together..

Ooooo yes and no.

As long as you are 125% over the poverty line you're fine.

If you're NOT over the poverty line then you will need a co-sponsor.

If you don't work, you could have assets that cover the 125%... (say a trust fund, house etc)


My sister & her husband is gonna co-sponser my fiancee as i don't work.. All i needed to know should i fill out on a blank piece of paper for the G-325A to tell them why I'm not employed this is to file for the I-129F?
