Mexico, Latin & South America	Cr1 question regarding marriage certificate	Well the thing is here it is not "recognized" by the Nicaraguan government unless inscribed. I was curious how much the USA wants to look into it for the cr1. For example, will they want to personally contact the Nicaraguan government to verify the info? If so, we will need it inscribed first. However, if they just want a marriage between two people, that is covered.      You might want to have it inscripted as early as now. Mexico, Latin & South America	Cr1 question regarding marriage certificate	If the marraige certificate you have right now is the LEGAL/Finalized mararaige certitcate from the Government/ Civil Registrar Office of Nicaragua I don't think there's any problem with that. Your wife will surely know if the marraige certificate you have right now is legal.   In the Philippines, the maiden names (unmarried name) and the married name are both written on the marraige certificate.    Just make sure you're having the legal and finalized marraige certificate from Nicaragua.   Since people here in VJ does not really know the laws in Nicaragua so have your wife verify it herself	janelance143	Male	Philippines	2013-12-06 13:52:00
National Visa Center (Dept of State)	Case number NVC	I got my NOA2 December 12. Called NVC they said they received my case January 6 and it might take 10-20days to put in in their system and get a case number. My friend who got her NOA2 same date as mine got her case number January 17??? How did that happen? It's already January 27 and I haven't got mine tried to call them but no one seems to know what's going on?? they just tell me wait. wait wait...   Same here! Still waiting too. And I do know people who already got their MCN even though others was approved earlier than them. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Praise God I'm approved!	so after we receive the NOA2 by mail...the NVC will mail us some forms to fill in after few weeks, did i get this right? .. and when will the NVC forward the petition to US embassy manila?   Yes thats right. The petitioner will receive those forms and both of you will fill them up. After all the requirements is completed and filled up, you will sent it back to NVC and then wait for the schedule for the interview. I think what might take a long time, about 2-3 weeks (worse 2months) is the NOA2 from NVC. But the next steps will be much easier. If you've already gotten NOA2 approval I believe it should only take 1-2 weeks receive hard copy in mail. i know it took longer for us but that was because we had an address error. Thanks!   What Service Center where you transfered -Melsy Anh? Our was in Texas Service Center. I really think the process will also depend on the Service Center. My husband have been saying Texas is the best Service Center compared to other centers ever since. Also, if the beneficiary is a Filipina good news will  most likely be released before the month of December ends. I'll include you in my prayers. Happy Anniversary to you and to your husband. Like I said strong faith to God really do make great miracles. What happened to my case is a firm proof to that. So keep believing and don't loose hope. And I had to keep on checking and clicking it just to make sure if its true and the website isn't just malfunctioning. Hahaha, anyone here July filers who got approved already! Check your statuses everyone! All praises to the Most High! Thank you everyone for the prayers! Now we're heading to the next step. I'm not sure what the next step is yet but we'll get to that. Hahahaha!   Don't loose hope everyone! I really believe that what I did last night was the reason why this miracle happened. For the first time in my life I knelt down and prayed and talked to Jesus Christ my Savior with all my heart. I had complete faith that everything will happen according to His plan. You might want to do this, believe and give thanks for an answered prayer even if it hasn't come yet. God is good all the time!   Just a summary, our petition was accepted July 25, transfered to Texas Nov.22, and approved today December 3. I think our case was expedited because I'm a Filipina and that benefciaries form Phils. are said to receive a benefit of expedit as a relief for the recent Typhoon Haiyan. Yes it is indeed fast! Yes, God is a gracious God, without doubt.  HE rewards our prayers, I have no doubt.  To me, you are through the very hard part, but "pitfalls" loom ahead, and just pray you do not fall into any of them, I will give you some of the things me and my wife from Cebu had to overcome, just to give you a "heads up" on what to look for. -  Yes, you need that passport ASAP. -  It will vary on how long it takes NVC to get your case, but start calling next week, to get your MNL number - When you get that number the next thing you want is your ""hard copy"" which is required to schedule the interview. - Medical is first come first serve at St/ Luke's, (my wife was in line at 2:00 a.m.) - Hope and pray to God you do not fall into the "Sputum Fiasco"" in which they will delay you nearly 3 months, because ""THEY, DOCTORS"" do not like your chest x-ray, at least for my wife, it happened, and we had already had a chest x-ray from an independent clinic.,.,.,before she went to St. Luke's..,.., NO reason at all. - The CFO, at least for us was not 4 hours, but almost 9 and 1/2 hours, and she went to the CFO in Cebu, and was in line at 3:00 a.m., as they only take the first 20-30 in line for CFO.  They will install  CFO in your passport. - The CFO DOES NOT take copies of anything, such as NSO birth certificates, baptismal etc.,,,must be originals.   I am sure I missed a few things, but the experts here(not me) can give you the info. you need.  I am just trying to give you an idea of what to expect.   Our NOA 2 was Dec. 31, (yes New Years Eve) and her POE was not until April 24, I hope you keep you hopes high, try not to make any mistakes, do you research, and be prepared for the un-expected, but by God's will within a few weeks, to maybe a month or 2 you will arrive where you want to go, God be with you and your loved one!     Thanks -raven52 for giving us the idea on what to expect! Thats really a great help. Now all we have to do is wait for the hard copy of NOA2 and then call for the MNL case number so we could proceed to the next steps. Sigh. the clock is ticking I wonder why it takes them so long to forward those documents. I mean they only have to forward it thats all. Anyway, patience is a virtue. The immigration application and petition processing at times can be long and arduous. Both clients and attorneys often feel anguish and quickly become impatient due to the delayed processing times. After waiting for numerous months or maybe years, the moment of receiving an approval is met with relief and joy. However the excitement of receiving an approval quickly vanishes at the realization that the Form I-797 Notice of Action contains a typographical error. Regardless of whether it is an incorrect birth date, classification, misspelled name, or approval/expiration date quick action should be taken to correct this error. What to do if error on I-797First, revisit the copy of the application or petition that was submitted to USCIS to ensure it contains the correct information. If the application or petition contains incorrect information then the error on the notice will not be deemed a Service error and USCIS will not be inclined to correct the error without additional steps. However, if the error was committed by the Service then step two should be taken. Call National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283 to report the error. Be prepared to provide the name of the applicant or petitioner, case number, and the specific error. After reporting the error, NCSC will make an not issue a separate receipt notice reflecting the correction but the subsequent notice issued should contain the correction. If the error is on an Approval Notice, immediately call NCSC to request the information to be corrected and to have an updated notice be issued. Do not wait 30 days to make this request as many completed files are transferred within 30 days to the National Records Center. Keep in mind that NCSC may request the applicant or petitioner to submit a copy of the application or petition indicating the correct information was submitted. Third, make a note of the time/date and agent ID # and confirmation number when calling the NCSC. This information will be necessary if additional action is required to correct the error. Keep in mind that it is best to have the representation of an attorney to provide the necessary assistance in immigration matters. An immigration attorney can take additional measures to have an error corrected by USCIS. An error on correspondence from USCIS should not be overlooked or ignored as it may cause significant problems. cfo commisions of filipino overseas, u guys gonna need to attend the cfo seminars and get ur passport stamp that u completed the seminars, its one of the requirements for u to before u leave the country. did that done that.! cheers!     Thanks sis! At the same time ask us and our husband to complete some forms and submit documents (its also enumerated in there) and send it back to them. Then we'll just have to wait for our schedule for the interview.    I'm a little worried with my passport bcause I haven't applied yet Lol. Its needed by NVC too. Just this December 3, my status has changed to post decision activity with approval notice. Miracles do happen when we believe and pray for it with all our heart. I'm so overwhelmed that waiting for NOA2 has finally ended and now commencing to the next stage.
