K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Any help [K1 follow Case number NVC]	Hi,guys   I have question ?   I approved Noa2 on 15 November 2013   Last night my husband called to NVC to asked if they issued my case number or not  but " they didn't even received my case", " it's take at least 6-8 weeks " they said   But you know,my friend approved Noa2 after me 1 week but She already got Case number !!! you know,That's suck !!!   So all yours guys think it's possible that my case lost ? if it's lost ,then it's means I have to start over again ?   Right now my husband and I are only waiting .......until middle of Jan 2014    Any help or advise would be appreciated   PS.California Service Center    Thank you Sorry to say that but do you know what really sucks?!? To still wait for our NOA2 and we sent in on august 9th!!! It sucks to see all ppl get approved after us that sucks. Trisha89, Do you know how to use Igor's List on this site, if not..,.,learn it, it is very accurate are far as I am concerned, and it was ""spot on"" with my wife's K-1.,.,..,. Get a "grip" (reality) sometimes this is a 3,4,5 month process.,.,.,.but more than likely, you will be just like me and my wife, we were 186 days, for NOA 2..., get a grip, this may be two times the length you expect, 5 months, does happen.,.,.,.but not very often! THEN.,.,get ready for NVC, medical, interview,and the new one AP, which you could be in for months (read one guy in there, AP for over a year) (and hope your loved one does not fail chest x-ray, like mine did) which was a fraud, in my opinion, it is just the way the Philippines works, at St. Luke's,.,.,.there was nothing wrong with her lungs.,.,BUT it cost us almost 3 months delay.,.,.,be ready for anything, THIS IS NOT A RUBBER STAMP PROGRAM!.,.,You never know what issue will delay your paperwork! As for right now, you certainly are not """delayed""""" with only 5 months in USCIS!!! There are many hurdles to jump.,maybe you will make them all, maybe you won't.,.,..in the end, it took 10 months and 4 days from NOA 1 to P.O.E. Atlanta.,.,.this process is not for the "faint of heart".,., or for someone expecting, a "certain" amount of months for a "certain" things to happen! Good luck on your journey.,.,.,.,BUT, you have a journey to make, and to "me" you just got started! I ise Igors List EVERY single day! I'm on there and see a FEW people getting approved from october and november out of thousands maybe millions! But I agree, I bet we are at the beginning and every small thing could delay us... By the way what I really would like to tell is that I think it is kind a sad thing that you it seems like can only make posts here when you already wait 13 months or longer for your NOA2 that people are not bothering you with being patient.... I think that some people go along a wrong road here... :-( everyone of us wants to be asap with their loved ones and there is no reason especially for the faster approved ones to be that rude to people who still wait!! Patience and waiting is the basic, correct answer. If you want to call and ask to put in a service request, then you can. That would be up to you. They will most likely tell you that if you have not heard anything in 60 more days, then to contact them again. There are many Vjers cases here that their files had been lost somewhere. Let us know the progress and good luck! Well what for wonderful news :-(! We called two times before and it was always saying that we should wait until timeline is reached and so we did then. Last time my fiancé called a women told that our case is fine - no problems- just normal processing time..... We called them and talked to a tier2 officer. He said actually would work USCIS on July16 but that was last week when we called on monday... So they should be a little further by now.... I'm just asking myself then how so many people can get approved from november and so on and on the telephone they talk from july 16,2013 cases are getting worked on... It took some time but we got there too. Some cases are fast and some are slower... just be patient. I totally agree with you!! I see the same everyday! We are still waiting for our NOA2 on january 12. ,2014 it will be 5 months! I saw people who were getting approved already that were sending their petitions on the same time like we did! Some already had interview too O.o and we still wait for NOA2!!! I can really imagine how frustrating it is. I hope to hear for all of us that are still waiting to hear good news soon! I want to thank everybody here that was supporting us the last 6 months, it was really hard but we made it APPROVAL WAS ON FEBRUARY 14th, 2014 without a RFE, what a wonderful Valentines Gift for us it is So so so happy and thankful!!! There is no way to worry for you now, sorry you are in normal processing time! Your normal processing time is only ending after 5 months! So be patient! K1: TODAY 6 MONTHS WAITING FOR NOA2	I was stopped twice for a secondary inspection but was granted entry to the US on both occasions. Since we filed for our K1 visa I haven't traveled to the USA, so I'm not sure whether they'd let me in or not, seeing I have a visa pending. We've been apart for almost 10 months now and can't wait for this to be over so we can be reunited and start our lives together. If it's of any help we're also in our early 20s and have no criminal background and our NOA2 took almost 6 months. We filed for an e-request after 5 months and 2 weeks (couldn't before that) and got a letter in the mail saying they were still working on our case. Shortly after that we got our NOA2 and it was such a huge relief to know that our case wasn't lost or denied. It sucked to wait: everyone on here got their approvals in record time, some in 2 months and others in under a month and we just waited and waited, not knowing what took so long. I was really stressed out, usually I like knowing things in advance and planning things but it was impossible to predict anything in this situation. We still have no idea as to why our case took longer than most who filed with CSC around the time we did but you'll get your approval as well, I'm sure. Maybe you could try calling USCIS and ask about your case, it may or may not move things along or force them to make a decision soon - I mean they're going to get sick from receiving calls from you at some point! Now we're waiting for my medical and interview and crossing our fingers for a positive outcome. You'll get there too, trust me. I know it's such a stressful thing to go through but if all goes fine just imagine how happy we'll be to be with our loved ones.   Keep us updated and best of luck to you both. If you need to vent you can PM me. WOW! You truely understand too like some other people here what it means to wait that long! I'm thanking you so much for your supportive message. I know fo y'all is going everything well too! It is ridiculous how they let us wait so long! And right now I saw a couple from CSC getting approved from NOA1 Date until NOA2 Date in 10 days!! Can you imagine that?! I mean well sure THAT IS DAMN LUCKY but why then always these couples that wait even longer as their processing times?! I really don't understand all this... It gives me to think a lot and it doesn't let me feel welcome there, although I know how it would be in my country here if people would apply here for something like this... Sure you can't compare Germany to the US but I don't know, you know you are innocent and have never done ANYTHING bad in your life and then you get treated like you are a high professional criminal person... I think at some point it is enough. I love my Baby Buu he is the best that could happend in my life but this process is in my eyes not fair and the way some people get treated! I know for some people here it is truely fair and they can have their opinion about it, but mine is the opposite! The worst thing about it is there is not a lot u can do about it and that's what depressed me the most. Have u tried a infopass? It's a face to face meeting with an USCIS office but your finance will have to do it as they only do them in the US? No Infopass appointment yet but it is on the list of "what can we do next" ;-) Thank you and I agree with this waiting where you can't do anything but you want it so bad to do something! K1: TODAY 6 MONTHS WAITING FOR NOA2	If you would bother to have read my "About Me" for my full timeline this would have been cleared up.   You have absolutely no idea what I do to eventually go through to get our visa - ombudsman, service center directorate, a senator, a representative, a local field office, a foreign field office and two separate embassies, but yah know, I don't know anything about having a hard process.  LOL!   I remember what it was like waiting at your point in the I-129F, I ended up moving to my husband's country to be with him and I think my dad had just died at that point, so I get it.  I also get what it is like to be frustrated at USCIS because they really messed up our case.  However, you might be upset that you didn't get extraordinarily lucky to get 2 months processing time (something people last year were dreaming of), but you are within the frame of normal for processing times over the last 5 years or so.     Relax, sit back, and it will happen. I see now and we will still be waiting. Like you said you know too what all this here means and some even don't.... I'm just trying to see and to get more infos about whatelse we can do.... I don't want to miss any options and want to sit here in the end with the thought we didn't tried everything.... At the same time, look up the USCIS ombudsman (you can contact them 45 days after the normal processing times so you might have to wait a bit...not sure what your exact days are). Yes ombudsman sounds like a good next option too,.... And we will going to ask for a supervisor too in the end of february 2014, if we didn't hear anything new from them by then. K1: TODAY 6 MONTHS WAITING FOR NOA2	Ok, so you've probably already done this, but I didn't see it anywhere, so just double checking...   Since 5 months is the stated "normal processing time" on the USCIS website, and you are past that now, has your fiance called, asked to speak to a tier 2 officer, asked them what's the deal, and requested to raise a service request? He will need to be the one to make that call, not you. Sample wording for the request - http://www.visajourn...-than-expected/   To answer your original question - it's unlikely that a senator from a different state would help you. Yes we already got a service request.... On january 23rd, 2014! They told us they actually work on august 16th, 2013 petitions! So they have passed our NOA1 date of august 12th, 2013! We all know that there is some people get approved in short time and they have no Good Evidence of reference but still getting approved in short time . That's just ridiculous and stupid . BUT as one guy i used to know said "It's all about luck" they don't care about how clean u are or what did u do in life or anything . Of course of all us here and "i'm sure are clean and have clean criminal history" and have relationship for a year or more or anything . in the other hand there are people who just send a "K1" with one trip and getting approved over people been in relationship for years or months .... There is no other explanation than "luck"    It is very sad to be away from the one you love . And i'm gonna tell u smth . we been in relationship sense October,2012 with serval trips and got married and submit our file In the normal view . We should get approved quickly bcz were both clean no criminal history none of us were married before a year and half relationship, letter from freinds, familly ...............   But who cares , This is life .. If u are lucky u don't need all these evidences , if ur not u gonna struggle just to be next the one u love , sorry that i make it so long , i'm just missing my wife terribly .   Thank you very much! I wish you both all of luck too that y'all get approved asap and y'all can be together again   The reason you were denied entry that one time was because of the short time you spent back in Germany. They believed you had immigrant intent when you flew back to the US on the VWP. Basically, you were "living" in America and "visiting" Germany when it should have been the other way round. Having perceived immigrant intent on a VWP entry wouldn't affect a K1 at any stage. I don't think you will know why you're being held up right now. After so long, I think you can request an expedite due to waiting way beyond their posted processing times. Yes that maybe could be really the reason! You know I was so nervous when I was sitting there I don't even remember all this questions they asked me there in this 4 hours, it was onl horrible and I was really scared because I don't know what they are going to do with me..... Even when I will get my visa, can you imagine how much self confidence it will go Going to cost me to go back to one of these officers and show them my passport and tell them I'm here on a K1 Visa? Sorry ridiculous! I don't try to fight against you, but you are telling me u cancelled the i-129f? After 8 months? Or how was it going then with your I-130? Or did u waited 8 months for the I-130? I think just because you waited two more months as we did right now you can't lean back that much out of the window! It is really a hard process enough already and people like you just try to make it look easy but IT'S NOT! And normally all people who can think will feel the same about this! K1: TODAY 6 MONTHS WAITING FOR NOA2	Our I-129F in 2012 took 8 months, I don't think that is abnormal for an I-129F.  Unfortunately there will always be people who take longer to get processed, you just happen to be one of those cases.  You can scream and complain to high heaven, but no one, not senator or USCIS is going to take you seriously because 6 months is nothing. It must have been so difficult for you to travel so far and get turned around and go home without seeing anyone.    There is no way to know what the border agents wrote about you, but regardless I think you surely will be approved and be able to be together with your partner. K1: TODAY 6 MONTHS WAITING FOR NOA2	Did you work at all, or look for work while you were in the US on ESTA? Were you working in Germany or the US during early 2013? Anyway, you're right about how it looks. There are very close and confusing overlaps in where you were living, where you were working, and then finally filing for K1. You're probably fine and have nothing to worry about, but the folks at the USCIS are probably trying to figure out your travel timelines. You said you were detained four hours at the US POE. Why? Did they send you home and deny you entry? I NEVER sorry but I never looked for work while I was in the US!!! I wasn't falling on my head that I know what you can do and what not LOL! I worked from february 1st of 2012 until the end of march 2013 as Flight Attendant for a german company that was getting bankrupt!! I know it looks strange to them, but what can I do?! That is all how it was and I have nothing to hide about it! I love my boyfriend and just wanted to spend time with him and since I didn't had a job anymore we were thinking of me staying there longer, because my stay would have been only from march 25th, 2013 until april 7th, 2013! So we decided while i was there that I stay longer there with him and don't fly back home after the 7th of april and search immediatley for another job in germany!!!..... I know it sounds complicated and it maybe is, but it was like I said it and i wouldn't talk about it at all, If there would be anything not like i said it here! And YES after this four hour interview, they were putting me in a room for 22 hours in the airport building and after 22 hours I had to fly back to germany without seein only one time my at that time still boyfriend! We talked about getting married yes, we knew we love each other more then anything and that we want to be together BUT NOT WHILE I AM THERE AND I AM VISITING! I'm much to scared to do things like this, because I KNOW it is illegal when you do this! So it was from the beginning for us always for sure that we want to di the K1 process, probably we would have started after this two months IF I WOULD HAVE SEEN HIM THEN! But we didn't saw us so we were getting an immigration lawyer for 1.500$ and he was helping us with filling out the papers and when my fiance visited me in the end of september / beginning of october he proposed to me! I'm not saying he's lying to you. USCIS more focus to do background checks to petitioner for this stage. After approval and case file forwarded, the US embassy in beneficiary country will do background check for the applicant. That's why even though some people got approved for I-129F but they got denied for K-1 visa.   I've read a lot cases here why took so long for their I-129F process. Some of them, they filed went missing, or some others because of the petitioner background checks. I think you're in the right way started inquiring your case file.  Ya thank you Girl from Celebes for your help! We really try as much as we can and we don't wamt to give up! I know we will get to hear something from then and when it's a message that they lost our case, but oh dear I hope they tell us any time soon then as letting us worried here the whole time :-/ By the way our wedding (if there ever will be one, WHAT I HOPE AND LOOK FORWARD FOR) will be in Key West ;-) just saw you are living there now since a few days... K1: TODAY 6 MONTHS WAITING FOR NOA2	If you had filed for ESTA and it was approved, then what was the reason for you being detained at the POE? Did they deny you entry and send you back home? I don't think this is any cause for denial, but it seems to have some smoke coming from it.  It was this Visa Waiver Program,..... We say esta here too.... I stayed two months with him the first time because I didn't had a job in the end of march 2013 anymore! My company was getting bankrupt in the end of january 2013 but the working contract was still going until the end of march 2013! So I had no job anymore and shortly before I left germany, i cancelled my apartment because I didn't wanted to stay anylonger in this city, that I was extra moving for, because of my job! So it probably looked to them like We had the intention to get married and then I was only after 84 days in the US for two weeks in Germany, to visit my parents! And wanted to come back to see him after this two months and that was probably to short this time! For petition, as far as my knowledge, USCIS more focus to do background check to the petitioner rather than the beneficiary. I remember there was another member here took a year because USCIS run background check on him since they were suspicious he abused  children in the past.  Thank you for your response,.... But he has really no noooo nooo criminal background, just a speeding ticket :'(! Really I'm not just saying this and I know he is not lying to me, what you maybe think now..... But he is my age 24! I didn't realize that you were not the USC. You're right that he is the one to be contacting and banging on doors. It's really not my business, but have you considered doing a background check on him just to see whether there is something in his history that is causing the snag? Forgive my being so frank, but I am just trying to help.  He is my age we are both 24! He has really NOTHING bad! Only a speeding ticket only ONE! And I know he has nothing else, he is a normal born USC with no criminal backgrounds! He went and is still going to church when he is visiting his family on sundays! I know he has nothing bad in his records and me neither! I don't think that this speeding ticket is the reason........ I was getting refused entry on june 30th, 2013! And they cancelled my ESTA and told me I could only come back with a Visa! Do you think that could be the reason why it takes them so long? I had a four hours interview after my 10 hours flight to the POE :-( I was 2,5 months (84days) with my at that time still boyfriend.... I stayed two weeks in germany at my parents house and wanted to go back to him for another two months! But I never made it :'( it was a horrible experience..... We NEVER had at any time the intention of getting married while I'm there, it was for us always for SURE, that IF, we get married, we make everything on a legal way! So the K1 Process! We just wanted to be together another two months and see how we get along together :-(! It was really so hard for me to sit 22 hours in a room and wait for my flight back to germany.....and i didn't saw one time my boyfriend.... He came up to the airport by car to pick me up and drove 6 hours! And we didn't saw each other one time!!!! They didn't let him see me only for a sec! So do you think this refusal could be the reason for it? A few other members told me already that a refusal isn't the reason for a denial, because that are two different things??
