K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresG-325A for K-3

Hi,
Ladylove2006

Welcome to VJ :jest: :jest: :jest:

I filed K-1 so I am unsure of the specifics for filing the K-3, I did copy this link from a previous post samples of the G325A forms. The only specific thing I can remember about filling the forms is that your husband should fill out and sign all 4 of the forms, I don't know if you had this done during visit. I hope you did as this will prevent from him having to print and send you these documents via courier service. I am sure you will get more great advice on what you need to file for K-3. The best advice I can give to you is spend sometime on VJ getting accquainted as this site has so much valuable info. Wishing you a speedy visajourney!!!!!!

Thanks so much for the information. :D

I did have him complete during the visit and I wanted to make sure it was completed correctly before I submit it. I don't want any mistakes to delay his coming. :(

Congrats on your marriage. When I started my journey in Aug of 5 The first place I hit was ther headers on the top of the page.. The one for guides has a very detailed description of the K3 process. Make sure that you make 2 copies of everything.. It will pay off in the end. The Visa Faq header is also guud it answers some basic questions like this one:
|10.2)...How do I prepare the I-130 package to start the process for a K3?
A..Please see the K-3"Step-by-Step Guide". In short though you will require the following forms:

Payment
I-130 Petition for Immediate Relative
G-325A Biographic Information -- 2 required. One is filled out and signed by you, the other is filled out and signed by the spouse.
A copy of your birth certificate, passport, or Certificate of Naturalization (you have to prove you are a US Citizen).
A certified copy of your marriage certificate.
A photo of yourself (see note) with your name printed on the back of the photo.
A photo of your spouse (see note) with the spouse's name printed on the back of the photo.
A copy of the divorce decree, if you were previously married.
A copy of the death certificate if your marriage ended due to the death of your spouse.
A copy of the divorce decree, if your spouse was previously married.
A copy of the death certificate if your spouse's marriage ended due to the death of their spouse.
A check or money order for the required fee.

I used the same G-325 guide you have there and on the bottom instead of I-129 I put K3 Spousal Visa and they will infer the rest. If you have any more questions feel free to email me. Again Congrats and Good luck on the rest of your journey!

Hi and thanks so much for the information.

I am sure this will be valuable information for me as we go through this process.

Congratulations  on your marriage and I pray that you will have a wonderful and successful life together.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresG-325A for K-3
Hi All:

It's LadyLove2006 and I am a very happy lady today. :D (L) . My fiance' and I got married on November 9, 2006 in Lagos (L) and now the Visa Journey really begins. I am now back in the US after spending a month with him and the family/friends. I didn't want to leave him and I knew that if I did not, the process of getting him here with me would take longer. :(

I have been reading the forums on K-3 and looking at the samples and I am getting ready to submit the I-130 and before I do, I need some assistance :help: . In looking at the samples for the G-325A I did not see one listed under the K-3 forms sample list. I really need a step-by-step guide in completing this form, not only for me, but for my spouse and I didn't want to sound stupid after looking at the information already presented.

Also I did not want to make any mistakes in submitting any documents. As that will make the process longer as well. Please list those other documents needed that go along with the submission of the I-130. This will be very, very helpful for me and my spouse.

I thank VJ and everyone here for all of their support and assistance. May God continue to Bless all of you. and congratulations  to all who have their spouses with them and for those waiting, Keep The Faith. :D

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresNOA2

you can start getting your evidences well on time like

corresponding e-mails right from when you started dating

plane tickets/itineraries

Taxes documents from previous years

employment letter

affidavit of support

pictures of your wedding/ engagement( they asked my wife about everymember of her husband family, they will always focus on any area that they fell you might not know. in my case, they started to pin point who are these people on your court wedding pictures, why didn't his parents come for the court wedding. What they always do is to collect all your evidences and go into a room privately and do extensive research, before interviewing the applicants face to face. i will post more of our perspectives later. Please don't get your evidences such as affidavit of support, police report until after they scheduled you for an interview, someone informed us on this forum that they rejected an applicant because he got his/her interview materials too, some got rejected because they could not speak english, other because they could not ascertain the signatures.

Thank You so much for the valuable information. I will keep all of this in mind.

God Bless You.

i would have advise you to stay until you get the NOA2, since you don't know what might happen along the line. i just completed my own K3 VISA for my wife , it took approximately 8 month june 2006 to feb 26 2007. the time it takes to adjudicate individual cases varies . you can't basically do anything until you get the notice of action 2 . In my case the noa2 for the I-130 came before noa2 for k3 visa. What you can only do is to monitor your case online by signing up for case status report online on the USCIS WEBSITE, using user name and password, it might not be effective if you don't have internet access in Nigeria, also the big problem in nigeria right now is light (electricity) i just came back from nigeria on 03/08/07 after my wife's successful k3 visa interview on 02/26/07. Nigerians basically runs on generator.i will post my personal experience on the k3 visa process later.

Thanks for the information. :)

I am registered and I check the website and my e-mail account all the time.

I am aware of the light problem in Nigeria as I was there a few months ago.

With all that you have told me, I am going to go to Nigeria as planned. I just pray that all goes well.

Congratulations on your wife getting the VISA.

Much success to you both and God Bless.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresNOA2

Hi Everyone:

This is LadyLove2006. (L) (F). I have some questions concerning the NOA2 for I-129F. I am leaving for Nigeria on April 19, 2007 to be with my husband and returning on May 11, 2007 and the NOA2 may arrive(providing I receive no RFE's) while I am away. I was wondering, for those that have received one already, what does it say exactly? or is it unique to everyone's situation?

I wasn't sure how long it would take for NOA2 to arrive and my husband wants me back in Nigeria to be with him and I want to be with him also. We miss each other so much :crying: :crying: and this immigration process is really taking a long time. :(.

What information will I need to take with me and what information can I take with me when I leave. I know that I will have to send the NOA2 back to him when it arrives.

Someone please :help: me. I will appreciate it so much.

Thank You and God Bless.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionI-134 Question

If your income exceeds 125% of the poverty line, then don't bother with assets like bank balances, I put zero for that, it only gives the consular officer more questions to ask.

In our case this what the I-134 included.

  • I-134 signed and notarized.
  • Tax transcripts from the IRS for past 3 years, (Redundant for the (1040,W2,1099) but are free from the IRS
  • Photo copy of IRS form 1040, and W2s for past 3 years
  • Letter from my employer stating annual salary, job responsibility, and that is full time, on company letterhead.
  • Photo copies of past 6 months pay stubs up to a few weeks before the interview.
If you list the asset things the consular officer then just has more to ask questions about and you will have to provide more financial evidence. I have bank accounts, 401k and other things but did not list them on the I-134.

Hi:

Thanks for the information. I will use it.

Also, I was wondering if you would be able to show me an example of the I-134 for those individuals who meet/exceed the poverty guidelines.

Thanks and God Bless.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionI-134 Question
Hi All:

I have a question regarding the !-134, Affidavit of Support and I am sure this questiona has been asked and answered somewhere already and forgive me for asking it again.

Anyway, I am trying to complete the form and I am getting "stuck" on question #7, part 2- I have on deposit in savings banks in the United States. Are they asking for savings accounts or all types of bank accounts? I hope this was not a stupid question to ask.

Also While I am asking, I was wondering if I had to submit the asset information, if my income meets/exceeds the income guidelines? Maybe it depends on the consulate where my husband will be going for his interview. I am sure the Lagos Consulate wants to see everything.

I'd rather be safe than sorry in this situation.

Please help. Thanks a bunch.

Hi All:

I have a couple of quick questions concerning the W-7.

I was wondering has anyone going through the K-3 Visa process and the US Embassy in Lagos, Nigeria ever had to have their spouse's passport notorized for tax purposes? and if so how did you go through that process?

Thank you in advance for all of your help.

God Bless!!

Hi Everyone:

I was wondering if any of the information has changed for the US Consulate in Lagos, Nigeria. I see that it has not been updated since January 14, 2006.

For those that have recently gone through that consulate, please provide any updated information if necessary. It would be greatly appreciated.

By the way, has anyone had any success in reaching this consulate by phone? I have been trying most of the morning with no success. I am assuming they don't take phone calls on Friday. :)

Anyway, thanks for all your assistance and have a great day and a wonderful Visa Journey.

Much Love,

Africa: Sub-SaharanSecond Trip To Nigeria
Hi All: :) (L) (F)

Just wanted to update everyone on my 2nd trip to Nigeria(April 21, 2007- May 12, 2007). I must say that I was so glad to be back in my husband's arms again. We had a wonderful time together dispite the fact that we were robbed, along with about 20 other passengers, on our way to Abuja on May 1, 2007. It was an experience I will never forget and I give God all the praise for LIFE. They(the robber's) took everything that we had in our possession.

On an happier note, both of our petitions were approved on April 27, 2007 and the NVC has received the approved I-129F on May 14, 2007. Things are moving right along and I look forward to the day that we are together again living under the same roof as husband and wife to raise a family of our own.

Thanks for all the support that I have received from everyone on this site. I really appreciate you all. Continue to pray much for us as we need your sincere prayers as the journey continues and even beyond.

Much Love,

Africa: Sub-SaharanInterview Date... Things To Take Along...

Congratulations on your upcoming interview. I look forward to hearing how it went at the Embassy. My fiance and I have a interview coming up also on July 2, 2007 and I can only tell you what I have sent to him. I went to Wal-Mart and bought a 2 inch binder and some clear inserts that I put all the documents into. First I did a cover letter of everything I was going to put in the binder and I numbered each item which ended up being 1-48. At the bottom of my cover letter I wrote copies of documents submitted are exact photocopies of unaltered original documents and I understand that I may be required to submit originals at a later day. I signed and dated this cover letter. These are the things I sent my fiance in the binder but remember everyone's situation is different especially when it comes to submitting evidence of a relationship and your employment or income. I sent him these documents:
I-129F, I-129F Supplement: Question 18, G-325A-Petitioner, G-325-A-Beneficiary, Birth Certificate-Petitioner, Military Discharge Certificate-Petitioner, DD214-Petitioner, Copy of Passport-Petitioner, Copy of Passport-Benificiary, Drivers License-Petitioner, Drivers License-Beneficiary, Declaration of Age-Beneficiary, Birth Certificate-Dependent, Guardianship Document-Dependent, Court Documents-Dependent, Divorce Decree-Petitioner,Letter of Invitation, Travel Itinerary, I-129 Postal Receipt, Photo's of trip while in Nigeria, Receipts from Trip to Nigeria, I-797 Notice of Action-Receipt Notice, I-797 Notice of Action-Approval, Envelope from fiance, Receipts for gifts I sent to fiance and family, calling cards, western union receipts, telephone bills, e-mails, yahoo instant messages, cards from fiance, I-134, Affidavit of Support, Employment Letter, VA Benefits letter, Income for Dependent letter, Child Support Order, real estate information, titles, deeds, appraisal of property, information on rental real estate properties, Bank Letter, Bank Statements, Last 3 years tax return, and NVC Letter.

Now as you can see each person will be different as to what you send your beneficiary. I will begin a new job hopefully sometime next week and I will also e-mail him a copy of my paystubs. To be honest about it I have also bought his ticket to come to the U.S. using North American Airlines and he has a copy of this also. I am not suggesting you do this because this is a very risky thing to do because anything could happen but I just bought the ticket because it is summer and many people are traveling right now. I bought a ticket that can be changed. I just wanted the interviewer to know I am ready for my husband.

I hope this helps you and hopefully someone else will come along and share with you what they sent or are sending their fiance for the interview. Oh and I sent him the binder using U.S. postal express international mail and it took 10 days for him to get it and it cost me $52. Once again congratulations.

Africa: Sub-SaharanInterview Date... Things To Take Along...
Hi All: :) (L) (F)

I have some questions that may have already been asked, and I hope that someone out there has the answers or can show me on here where to find them. I would appreciate it very, very much.

Here it goes. My husband has an interview on August 21, 2007 at the Consulate in Lagos, Nigeria and we are trying to make sure that we are well prepared for it. He was going over the packet information with me and he has to have a medical exam done, and there was no specific date as to when he has to take care of it. When would be the best time for him to have his medical exam done?
He also mentioned something about a DS-1858, Will I have to complete one of those and send it to him?

Also in addition to the documents that I have to send to him once the I-129F was approved.

http://www.visajourn...mp;page=k3guide

Are there any other documents that I need to send to him. Please let me know.

I appreciate all of you here and I would like to say thanks for all of your guidance and support throughout this Journey.

Much Love,
