IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	I-130 question	Then, this is an affidavit my sister wrote us, again very personal and she had it notarized, certified, the whole 9 yards. My aunts who attended our wedding wrote similar statements... I, vareska's sister, born on ..... in Vares, Bosnia and Herzegovina, daughter of ....... currently residing at .......... and the holder of United States passport # ........hereby state: vareska, maiden name........., is my older sister and I have known about her and hubby's' relationship since its very beginning in 2003. By the year of 2005 their relationship has reached the level where they were discussing marriage. Their relationship, in the beginning, caused a lot of controversy in my family. Both my parents and I continuously advised her to terminate her relationship with hubby because we feared that she was too attached to a person she only met online, and we also feared that he might be taking advantage of my sister's emotions in order to move to the United States. vareska, on the other hand, persisted that relationship was genuine and that the two of them bonded over common interests and beliefs, and she insissted that he had no intentions of moving to the United States, and in fact he has given my sister an ultimatum where he would only continue the relationship if she would marry him and live in Bosnia. Our family's doubts in his intentions were put to rest once vareska and my mother traveled to Bosnia in 2005 to meet hubby and his family. My mother concluded that they were a wonderful family and that our fears regarding his visa sham had no ground. .......Then, here comes a paragraph with very intimate details of hubby's background that I would rather not share, so I will skip........ I understood the reasons why he would not move to the US to be with my sister, and it was difficult for me to watch her in pain because by that time they both have developed strong feelings for each other. I knew how scared she was to move to Bosnia, because it is an underdeveloped country and she told me she felt that her education and passion for her career would be wasted there.They broke off the relationship many times because of their disagreement where to live, but kept getting back together after only a couple of days. In 2007 hubby came to Dallas to visit vareska and to meet our family. We were very excited to have him here because by that time we have all formed a relationship with him, and we were very sympathetic towards the struggle the couple was going through trying to determine if either one of them would move across the globe for the other. While he was here, we were all able to spend a great amount of time with him and get to know him even more. I could see that the two of them were very similar in many ways, and I could see why he was so important to my sister. It was very clear that he and vareska were very much in love. By the time of his departure to Bosnia, vareska and hubby have worked out their differences and announced their engagement. I was very happy for them because they have had so many problems and obstacles in their relationship that any other couple would call it quits sooner or later, but they continued to fight for their relationship. On July 24, 2008 they married in Bosnia. Myself and my parents, as well as three of my aunts and an uncle from the US, flew to Bosnia to be at their wedding. I had the honor of being my sister?s maid of honor in both civil and religious ceremony. It was a very emotional day for all of our family. They deserve to be together and now they finaly are bound for life as they have desired for so many years. I am very excited for them now that they have decided to live in the United States and have put their struggles behind them. They are already spending a lot of time planning how they want to decorate their apartment, shopping online for the furniture, searching for jobs in Dallas that hubby is qualified for, and googling places they want to visit when he arrives here. Their realtionship is a pure and honest commitment to one another, and their marriage is a bona fide marriage. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Everyone going through Administrative Processing in ISLAMABAD	There is an update to my case visa has been printed(not sure of the date) and this is now confirmed that the procedure for getting the passport back with the visa has changed as it has happened to Hopeful786 as well. Once the Embassy prints the visa the passport is sent to the Department of State in the US, they go through it one last time and then forwards it back to the Embassy - only after this the embassy hands over the passport to Amex for delivery to Applicant. I am sure the failed Christmas bombing has to do with the Embassy asking for sibling records for CR/IR1 class of applicants as well to put that into the AP process as well. He has been tracking my case daily and he knew the very minute the AP ended as their was no news till yesterday all of a sudden i got a call. He says that they will call me next week to ask for my passport - i m hoping that is the case.
