Please correct me if I am wrong. a.) 2 copies of DS 156 and DS 157 are needed to be brought to the interview, is this correct? 2 copies of DS-156 with photo attached 2x2; Two copies of DS-157 one validated from the Bank; 1 copy of DS-156K b.) DS156, DS156K and DS157 should be downloaded and filled out online? Is this correct? All this DS forms can be downloaded and must filled out on line check this Link below: http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3238.html c.) How do you make second copy of each forms? Is it by filling out another form online or printing it twice or can it be photocopied/xeroxed copy? What is the proper way of making second copy? You can print it into two copies by printing it twice.; no need to filled out again. d.) These 3 forms be brought to bank (Bank of Philippine Islands/Citibank) with corresponding non-immigrant payment to be machine validated and with check-rite? Is this correct? No only bring the DS-157 that you filled out online and present it to the BPI teller and they will validate it through their machine after being paid. Looking forward to any helps you can extend us. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	IM LEAVING TOMORROW	Hello Guys, My k1 Journey has now finally over and I wanna thank God for giving me enough strength to hold on too, On our Love and our Strong determination to become as one with my Fiance Michael. I know im nervous and tense to the point I cant eat well and sleep as well. What I prayed long ago everyday hoping that too soon this Journey would have to end successfuly and will be in his arms back again and God never failed me. Now Im looking back on the past and never regretted anything I told my parents not to get worried on anything and that I will be okay in his custody. Wow! I cant believe this is it!! Hoping on my arrival to see him with a huge smile on his face and would hug me to death lol. For all of my friends who became a part of this successful Journey, Thank you so much Ate gay, Ate relyn, Shape, Honey_me, Ting2x, Nanz, Mamalou salamat sa Advice, Marizza, Ate riza, Leejoy,Gods Girl, Sherl na pasaway haha and to ate allecx thank you also to Ate Myla. Philippines	Can Anyone tell me about the Delbros?	I think so.. But maybe you are advised for Visa Pick up since you are just around in Manila.. You can pick up after a week or so.. Hope helps! If your income is well above the 125% Poverty Guidelines, they won't really need bank statements or stocks. The I-134 and 2007 ITR will be your best ammo. BUT, if you can provide them, it won't hurt to have them handy, just in case. I got them during my interview, even my then fiance's mortgage, letter from the bank stating how much he has in his account, etc, etc, but they only asked for the 2006 ITR (the latest at the time) and the I-134. If it so happened that they asked for more, it wouldn't be a problem because I got them all with me. But the pre-screener said those 2 are more than enough. Philippines	ITR really needs to be notarized???	I got a message from a Compnay that helped processed our K1 Visa and state their to have the 2007 ITR first page should be notarized. . . Do they really require this in the embassy during interview??? Because i have a thick record of his ITR in my hands right now , My fiance gave that to me while we are in Hongkong for a short vacation but it isnt notarized. . . Pls advice me. . . US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Manila Embassy Interview	Hello everyone! Just wana share that im in SF already just last friday, Feb 23, 2007. It feels so amazingly good to be with Eric! The flight was okay, i flew with PAL 9pm flight to SFO and arrived 5:30pm same day . The immigration guy was very nice, i presented my passport and I-94 and the brown envelope, he stamped on some pages and on the I-94 while asking questions at the same time like.. who's the lucky guy; how did we meet; if i have ever travelled to the USA before; when is the wedding...etc etc.. but he didnt ask for the X-ray and im glad coz i checked it in together with my luggages . After he finished doing stamps, smiled and said... Okay! Welcome to the USA, I ran to the luggages and mine was among the last to appear since i was first to check-in in Manila . When i found my luggages and passed by custom guys, they only asked what i brought and then let me go to the exit without scanning my things, i went to the EXIT and Eric was there, standing and smiling with bouquet of roses and hugged me and kissed me with so much happiness! . We celebrated then Visa day, Valentines day, our Birthdays... we call it B-V day! So THANK YOU ALL, [esp mention: to PW, Uling, Steven&Jinky, LuzyC] youre all very helpful since the start of this journey, and please stay helpful as we go on to the next part - AOS. Fel, it was fun to be sharing with you the excitement while waiting for boarding, wished we had same flight, but im happy to know that you had safe flight and youre very happy now with your Franko! Tessa and Ana, have a safe flight this weekend! Hope Ana will fly via SFO too so we could meet again! Miss you guys! You rock girls!!! Lyann (joone45) it was nice meeting you in person few days before my flight, looking forward to have someone closer here in the US. I called them and asked them if i can pick up the visa and they said yes! I have my Visa and booked my ticket already! yey! Another question though: I cant open the envelope or even try to open it, right? but my envelope has an opening already. here, I've attached a pic Thats right, don't even try to open it. The corner is cut off so they can see your passport number. Thats how they know who's packet is who's. Hi Thersch, Yes, Kuya Gary is right ... don't try to open the packet, the corner cut of the envelope is to checked if your case# in your visa that attached to your passport are same as it shows on the papers inside. If they automatically cancel my reservation, i might not be able to get another March 2 flight because its already fully booked. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Manila Embassy Interview	We have Visa!! Mari picked it up on Tuesday and so after a quick visit to to get the CFO stamp, she's good to go!! It still seems unreal but she's hangin' in Manila for the next few days and leaving Friday night for San Francisco. What a challenging experience it has been. But after some bad breaks in the first few months, things have gone very smoothly for us. Just eight little months and finally done!! Actually for us it's almost two and a half years of impatiently waiting! I needed over a year and a half to get a final divorce after being legally separated in 2004. Soooo thanks for all the notes and our congratulations to the huge group of newly approved couples!! To our California friends, Fel and Frank, Steven and Jinky, and Joone and Lyann, we hope to find times soon to meet with you in person before long and have another celebration dinner. Mari and my son Daniel are both dying to go to Disneyland this Summer so we will be in So Cal for sure! And for so many other of the terrific people Mari has hooked up with, we still have our broadband and our webcam so I hope we can also stay close and continue to help each other and let friendships bloom. Take care y'all and we'll also continue here in VJ. The immigration process is one looooong journey! Eric and Mari Oh im so Happy for you guys! and for Ate Ana too! Im sure gonna miss these girls. It makes me teary eyed everytime i think about what we had went through to be with our SO and how blessed we are. I thought we would be there all day. I was impressed by the way they moved applicants from one section to another and I was surpised that we were finished at 11:10am. God Bless! -TeSsA- Thersch, I know you had every single supporting document they could ever think to ask you for! How much of it was needed for your interview? I'm very happy for all of you, but... DETAILS, PLEASE!!! Hahaha.. I know! I had all the papers with me but they didnt really ask me a lot of docs. I was like "What??!, No dude! you take everything i have whether you like it or not!" - No just kidding but i wanted to tell him that because i worked so hard preparing everything lol.. Anyways, my interview was 7:30 so i didnt go early (as i read some post b4 that 7:30 scheds need not to come early because they wont be allowed in anyway).I just stayed at the Bayview Hotel which was right across US Embassy and got at USE around 7:00am. When we got there, we were asked to stay at the waiting area where there were chairs and people trying to scare you that your picture is no good and that you have to take another one If you think your picture is fine, just dont listen to them. Just prepare your appointment letter and valid id as the guard will check these before u can go inside. When we were inside, a guy oriented us about the process and instructed us about what to write (answers) on our forms: No Blanks.. If you dont have any answer to a question, write NONE or N/A. never leave a Blank on the DS 156. On the DS156k- just write the name of the Fiance/Fiancee on the space "I hereby certify......and intend to marry________" but they didnt ask us to sign and i signed this after the Filipino (pre-interview) interviewed me. and they asked us to file the forms in the following order: Appointment Letter DS156 DS157 - with the validation from the bank DS156 DS157 DS156K and dont staple your pictures. Glue or paste them Then the guard asked us to line on the left side booth (beside the entrance door) where they got all our forms and if you filled everything correctly, they will give you a number.. Its a tiny piece of paper, so you better not lose this coz this will be you number the whole time. Then they called my name and proceeded to window 16 for finger scanning. Then I waited again for like 30 nerve wracking minutes then i was called to window 16 again. At this point, I was like "why am i being called? was there something wrong with my finger scanning because instead of my number showing up on the que board, i was called!!" When i got to the window, this Filipino guy had all my papers with him (forms and the 129f if im not wrong). I got relieved when i realized he was the "Pre-Interview" step.. lol So he started asking me question and asking for some docs: Docs he asked: BC NBI Affidavit of Support but he didnt take the pay stubs, he gave it back to me and Pictures He asked the ff quest'ns: Name of petitioner How we met? When? Month and year? My bday? His Bday? asked if my BC is late registered- NO If my fiance has been married - NO If he has kids - NO My Age - 18 (I WISH) hahaha Kidding aside im 26 His Age - 30 y/o then he gave me an envelope and asked me to put all my pictures there. and i asked him how about my proof of genuine relationship and ongoing relationship- He said ok so i put everything there.. oh, not everything because its already so thick, it might not slide through so i just didnt put my evidence of meeting. He didnt really ask for all of it, I just wanted to put everything since i worked so hard gathering them.. hahaha he didnt even ask me of my CENOMAR then he stamped my DS156K and asked me to sign it. and i saw him wrote "OK" on my docs. that really made me happy Then I waited for my final interview (roughly it was just around 5 minutes wait and i already saw my number on the queboard). GOsh, I still can remember how NERVOUS i was (now that im done, i realized we shouldnt really get nervous. but if you are, i understand ) The consul was nice. He basically asked me the same questions that the filipino interviewer asked me and just added couple more like: What does your fiance do? does he have siblings? Then he looked at my papers, pictures and phone bills then said "ok, i got everything i need. wait for your number and they will tell you what to do next" and returned the pictures and bills. whats so weird about it guys and i dont know if those who just got approved noticed this too but while he was still asking me questions, i saw an "approved" pink ink stamped on one of my papers he was flipping through. but i acted as if i didnt see it. what was that?? so after he told me to wait, i just had to ask him if im approved and he smiled and said "yes, you are approved" WHOAAAA!!! i was so ready to pass out lol.. That was my interview experience, hope this helps everyone waiting for their interview. I got home from Manila today and I just want to thank everyone here for all the information and support! Y'guys rock! I had my interview last Feb 15 and I GOT APPROVED Was also able to meet Ate Lucy and Jessa (Dave_ehssa) at the US Embassy. I wanted to go to the dinner party but we transferred hotel which was in Makati and I didnt know how to get to the place.. lol Mari and Ate Ana asked me to come and so did Karen.
