Philippines	Obtaining passport in the philippines question	No its not difficult, very easy infact got mine only a matter of 5 working days PHP500 which is really good.. I advise you not to have a travel agency because they will charged big. Hope helps!! Filipino pre-screener just asked my cenomar, nso, nbi, 1-134, when is my birthday & where did I met my fiance. He told me to sign the DS forms(he checked already which one will I need to sign). He then told me to proceed in window 15 for finger print scanning. After fingerprint scanning we return to blue chairs and wait for my # to be flash in the board for final interview (it takes 3 hours i think I was assigned in window 31. The consul is nice. Here are some of his questions to me: When did u first met ur fiance? When did u met him in person? What are u doing in Costa Rica? did u just went there specially to met him? Do u have relatives in Costa Rica? So, you work in TV Station? and you work in FM Station? What is MCkinsey & Company? (my latest job) The consul will just ask depends on ur documents .... nothing else His questions for my fiance: So you are a chief? What are your specialties? Then reach to cooking hehe We're there inside maybe 10 minutes coz he's slow in typing back and forth in PC. He then said, I am approved, and it's easy for him to do it haha... all in all he's nice and friendly... I met my friends in VJ also Ate Zandy & Joyce congratulations Thanks God, we made it .. Last April 5 my honey found this site and the first person who answer his inquiry was dbears ( she is very nice person), she gave us some instruction what to do in order to get our appointment schedule. too bad that day my honey have to leave back to the US. That was April 8 when my honey called USEM for appointment schedule and we choose April 29 which is 3 weeks after..i was really shocked for the quick process still cant believed that i will be having my medical and interview sooner. but anyway, since my schedule is past approaching then i have to set everything in place. need to complete all my documents. I payed delbros last april 10 and followed some vjer's advice to call and follow up the status of my payment. i made a call about twice and they told me the same thing, they are waiting for the request from embassy. the day before my interview i call them again and he told me that they already forwarded it in NSO last April 21...Thank God! Anyway, a day before my interview i kept reviewing and checking all my documents. i make sure i did not missed anything, i even made a checklist to be sure...hehehe, we stayed in hotel just in front of the embassy for convenience. I was with my brother and my cousin who really gave their full support when i was in manila. We visited some nice place in manila that night before my interview ( i am trying to make myself at ease, i really feel nervous about my coming interview..hehehe) and we went to embassy and ask the guard where and what to do for tomorrow's interview ( he is nice too, he wished me luck after giving instruction)...we went back to hotel around 10pm and my honey call me to wish me luck. I really had hard time to go to sleep.. April 29 i woke up about 4am, took a shower and getting ready..i rechecked again my documents before leaving the hotel. about 4:45 when we left the hotel and went to USE we met the guard again the one that i talked the night before my interview and he wished me luck again for second time...when we arrived USE, there are lots of applicants already but the guard told us to wait at the waiting area because they only letting in those applicant who had 6:30 appointment and i was having 7:30 so we waited for further instructions. while waiting i met some K1 applicants there and chatted a little..someone that i met there who are not familiar with her documents she even not payed the visa fee..strange isn't it? i told her why she don't know about it then she say its her fiance that prepare everything...well, i would advice everyone here to familiarize their documents even if you hire for a lawyer or a friend to help you in preparing your docs. other applicant i met at SLEC too she dont have DS 156K, we were inside the embassy when she found out that she don't have one..she rushed home to get it but she realized she really don't have any of it. then she told me their lawyer prepare the documents...well, she still give a try and bring her documents at the ticketing area where you get your number that you will used for the whole process..thank God they give her DS 156K forms to fill up and she continue the whole process..At around 6:30am we fall in line and get ready your appointment letter to show it to the guard. inside the embassy you will sit in blue chairs and wait for instruction. be ready with your DS forms and appointment letter to give at the ticketing area and they will give you the ticket with the number on it that you will use on the whole process so keep it safe and always pay attention on the screen where the number will flashed. i was called at window 26 for prescreener at around 7:30 and he asked me the following documents: NBI, Birth Certificate, ITR 2007, Affidavit of support, i gave him the bank statement of my fiance and other supporting documents like photos, emails, voice call history and chat logs..NOTE: for photos dont paste it in album. it should be bendable. i would advice to paste it in paper because the slot in window is not the same as the one in SLEC. the style is hard to explain but i will try...hehehe, the opening is not on the glass but its on the concrete, its like they make a hole on the concete and put the glass at the center so you have to pushed your paper to get it through the other side and the prescreener will pulled it a little..well to be safe just paste it in paper doesnt matter if its special or not as long as its bendable..the thickness should be 1 inch..the prescreener asked me few questions like who is my petetioner, when did i met him, how many times he visit me..just basic info of my petetioner..the prescreener is a gay i believe but he is really nice..i sit back to the blue chair and waited for finger scanning, 20 minutes after i was called at window 33 for fingerscanning..i guess it was around 8:30 that i start waiting for the final battle..hehe, interview with the consul..9:40 i was called at window 31 for final interview with the consul..Thank God he is very nice person..he greet me goodmorning as asked me how am i doing? of course i responded with a big smile and answer his question. he asked me to raised my right hand and swear....he asked me few questions, very basic info about me and my petitioner..so nothing to worry because it is not like the question and answer portion in beauty pageant..lol..as long as you know your petitioner then no worries. i would say it lasted only 3 minutes and he say OK YOUR APPROVED! and smiled...wow! how nice to hear that words...of course i was so excited to tell my honey about the good news but i did not forget to say Thank You to the consul and smile at him before i leave the room..i waited like 5 minutes and my name called at window 37 for releasing of my docs and get the pink slip then pay the delivery fee at delbros booth...its easy so no worries... I am really thankful that my honey found this site, its really a big help. i cant emagine myself going to the interview without knowing that i missed paying delbros, or missed paying visa fee or dont have complete documents..I am lucky i am part of vj family. Dear, the badjao's don't sell real pearls.. that's cultured pearls and sometimes even synthetic pearls that they buy in Uyanguren. (not LOTS4LESS ha, i forgot the name of the store basta they sell kikay fashion jewelries at a wholesale price and they also sell materials for fashion jewelry making--kanang uso2x na kwintas na dagko na tag 200-400pesos sa malls, you can buy it there for 65-80 pesos) I bought some items in that uyanguren store one time (I am a bargain shopper) and I saw this two badjao that frequents the sea port of lanang (kanang sakayan para chema's, usahay sa sakayan para pearl farm sila), they also frequents diferent beach resorts in samal (no I am not a beach addict.. medyo lang ) and have even reached tagum selling their supposedly real pearls. When I saw them i was like: AHA! nasakpan mo! but of course I didn't even talk to them. That 1,000PHP is a rip off already for the actual price of those "supposedly" pearl jewelries.. if you want I could accompany you in that store.. I brought face creams, gels, toner, lotion, etc ... but don't put this stuff in carry on,, I did put mine in checked in bag, so it was not a hassle in the connecting flight check counters. 4. Wahhh the lady at check in counter in NWA told me to pay travel tax (P1,620 for economy, 2000 something I can't remember for first/business class) in Travel tax counter, it's near in the gate when u enter, it is easy to find though... and return after to get our boarding pass.. (I'm kinda shocked of this coz we thought it is paid of when we bought our ticket in NWA. Ryan was not ask to pay though, only me.. OH well, i will not return for long, so it's fine.. (just bring extra money just in case, u can change it to $ later inside the departure area) 5. Back to the counter and got our boarding pass 6. We proceed to Departure tax counter... (P750) she stamped our boarding pass 7. Immigration Line, (wahhh I'm glad it's not crazy long like arrival (The officer asked me who is my petitioner.. hmmm i just point Ryan who was infront of me, he just finished--She smiled and said... mgksama kau? 8. Passed the Xray counter, separate for girls & guys (removed shoes, metal belt, removed ur laptop from the bag, liquid stuff) 9. We proceed to the assigned gate... (it's already 6:15am) 10. Boarded the plane at 7:05 ( wahhh the plane did not leave until 9:00.. instead of our 8am flight.. delayed for some electrical problem.. (we are sweating, it's hot inside the plane ... 11. FINally left to Toyko ... at arrival pass to check in again... (removed shoes, laptop again) 12. Went to assigned gate, it is easy to find the connecting flight, just follow the signs,, it's in English, so don't worry 13. Our gate was open already coz we are delayed, so we boarded right away.. (TO MINNEAPOLIS) 14. Arrived in St. Paul Minneapolis 1 hour early:) thnxxxxx GOD coz we have only 1 hour and 30 mins layover, so it's 2 hours and 30 mins now 15. I fall in line in new immigrant counter...and RYan in US residents line.. (dont fall in line in visitors, it's long) 16. Ryan finished already while i'm still waiting coz the guy fr P.I too ahead of me was interviewed long.. 17. MY turn.. gave my passport, Form 1-94 given by the crew in NWA before landing in MInneapolis. (Fill it out in all capital letters) I gave my yellow orange envelope. While checking it, He asked me this questions: -- Where are you going? -- When did you first met? -- What is his job? -- What do you want to work? -- Do you have food in your luggage? I answered no.. He said, ARE u sure? (i have only 2 pack of lucky me pancit canton) I forgot about it -- How old are you? -- When do u plan to get married? -- How old are you? and look at me.. (wahh again?... oh well maybe he think that I gave him wrong age ... -- When is ur birthday? -- How far are u in Charlotte, NC? You can file ur AOS, EAD etc He asked me to put my left index finger in the finger scanning, the the right... and posed for the camera. they have webcam in the window -- He then said, get married in 90 days... Welcome to USA.. That's it.. it's easy.. so don't worry .. just relax 18. Ryan collected our luggage already.. (Don't forget ur luggage in Point of Entry) Passed though custom and give our custom form, since we don't have something to declare,it's easy. Proceed to check in counter ..NWA staff put our bags in there...running floor ahahah i dont know what's the name of it.. 20. Passed trough xray counter againnnnnnnnn... (removed laptop, shoes) 21. PRoceed to our boarding gate.. since our plane arrived 1 hour early. We had enough time.. 22. ARRived at Raleigh on time no more immigration stuff 23. Collected our bag, Ryan's parents picked us.. 24. THEy hug me and said.. Welcome to USA 25.. DRive to CAry... just near ... maybe 10 minutes fr the airport Going Cary is very pretty place,, it has lots of trees in both sides of the highway.. ARrived and ate dinner.. while talking and gave my present for my future in law..
