PhilippinesMedical Exam Schedule

Hi VJs....Hope all are well. I have a quick question. I made the online registration last night in SLEC site. It doesn't give you the date and time of he medical schedule. My question is, will I be just go there and have my medical or will i call them, for them to schedule my medical. I would gladly appreciate replies on my queries.

Thank you.

just bring that online registration form together with your other requirements and present it to the guard...its a first come first serve basis...so better be there at least 7:30am...

PhilippinesBest way to send $2000

Hello All,

About half of my fiancee's parent's house burned down and I want to send some money to help them. They don't have a bank account and I don't think they have proper IDs to open one. It's going to cost around $2000 to repair the house and replace what they lost.

What would be the best way to send the money? I don't really want to use Western Union. Would FedEx be safe enough? Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Brian

sorry to hear that....my fiance used to send me money at the moneygram, could claim it to any moneygram branch,,,if you want to be safe she could get it at BDO bank...just let them present any ID`s and reference number...or other option, you could send it through bank to bank, a remitance, you`ll be given a code number and that code number should also be given to the one who will claim the money at bank and with ID again....

PhilippinesInterview before packet 3?

Is the case uploaded electronically to Manila from the NVC? Once I have the Manila case number, then do I call the manila embassy every day to see if they received it? or is there a better way to track it? Because I have seen posts where people are tracking a package visa DHL from NVC to Manila.

Thanks for the info.

as soon as you get your MNL number from NVC,,give it a week then can start calling manila embassy to follow up your case, thats the best way to track your case at the manila embassy...better talk to the agent...this is the number:
US EMBASSY MANILA Immigrant Visa (IV) inquiry line at
(632) 301-2000, extension 5184 or 5185

this number is for scheduling your interview:
US embassy number:
02) 982 5555 & 902- 8930

applicants who can track their package through dhl, are those, i think the IR/CR1 category....

PhilippinesInterview before packet 3?

Regarding a K-1 visa... I have been seeing information that you may be able to interview before receiving packet 3 from the manila embassy. If you get your manila case number from the NVC via email and then you pay your BPI, you can schedule an appointment at the embassy. Do they allow you to goto the appointment without the eligibility letter? Is all of this true? Is there anything in packet 3 you have to have?

yes its true, you can have your interview sched without your eligibility letter, "dont wait for it, theres nothing in there, its just a notification" what is important is your MNL case number and if your case is already uploaded in thesystem of manila embassy..you can call them to follow up..then by that time you will know your status...just call them from time to time..the K1 packet is already online you can prepare all your documents ahead of time...check this out...this is the K1 packet:

hope it answers your questions..goodluck

PhilippinesPsychiatric evaluation passed or failed
dont worry girl you`ll be fine,..and if youre going to undergo psychiatric exam then just go and have it done, its just a test, and you can do it..i had my psychiatric evaluation last june 8 too due to my annulment, and the doctor told me to wait 2-3days for the result coz she needs to make a report for my evaluation. but before i left i asked her if i still need to have a psychiatric exam and she told me, that no need and il just wait for the result of the report to be done and put in there system and have my vaccination already..anyway just wait for your result sis then if theres another referrals just follow it,,. you`ll be fine...goodluck and godbless

PhilippinesPsychiatric evaluation passed or failed

if you didn't attempted suicide, and answered truthfully on the psych evaluation i don't think you should worry. I hope it's ok if i ask, what kind of art was the scar? is it like a tattoo? don't stress so much. . . i read somewhere here in VJ with the same situation as yours and she had a positive result on the medical. I'll try to find it and send you the link. Hang in there.

sis she said "she attemped suicide once before"...but hope everything will be fine and they`ll just give a psychiatric exam after her psychiatric evaluation,,in that case, if she pass the exam then i think its a proof that she is normal...(psychiatric exam is a whole day test and you`ll pay php3,000 for that)....

PhilippinesMedical & Interview Schedule

its true that kids 13 yo below will undergo tuberculin test and you will be back after 2 days for TST reading..and if it turns out positive, they will undergo xray and you will be back again for the result. as for us adults, we will undergo the usual physical exam..and the most conflicting part is the xray..if they found something suspicious on your xray, you will undergo on a 3 day sputum test which means you will go to st lukes 3 days in a row for collection of sputum. and after that there is also a culture test which means you will only get the results after 2 months..just like me, i have an interview on Aug 23, but it is now cancelled coz i have to undergo on a sputum test and culture test..if i were you, why dont you schedule your exam now so that if you will going do undergo on a sputum test, ou still have a lot of time before your interview..think about it. :innocent:

I AGREE on babystef. you better do your medical early anyway the mwdical has a 6months to 1 year validity...

PhilippinesHELP...G-325A for AOS....question for ex-husband (annuled)
hello everyone...i have a question about the G-325A form for ADJUSTMENT OF STATUS...do I still need to put my former husbands name again in the philippines? which was also being annuled there and submit again my annulment decree? or do just put "none"? coz my understanding on this question is,,if i have a former husband here in the U.S...which was none..my first husband here in the US is my husband now...and i dont have a former husband here...but on my G-325A during my I-129F application, i put my former husband there because at that time we were still applying for the K1 visa and i need to put all my biographic information in the philippines, so the USCIS has record of that already & i also submitted my annulment decree as so on to them,,,before my K1 has been approved...

thanks and hope someone could share their experience...god bless...

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresLEGALLY ANNULED TWICE

ur two annulment has nothing to do with the process of the USCIS, bcoz the USCIS investigate only the petitioner.. it is just the process in USCIS right now is really slow..

regarding to ur med. here at slec yes its automatic that annulled women who is found psychological inpa. always do the evaluation BUT if u pass the evaluation at slec then u dont have to go the psychological exam...

when u go to slec just bring the CD, that's all they need...

and when u go to the interview then bring ur CD, COF, and ur AMC...

good luck..

thank you for the information..just wana ask if how do they get the idea of having found psychologically incapacitated if they only need the annulment decree?....you mean the medical people also need the court decision?...because psychologically incapacitated only stated at the court finality not in the NSO annulment decree & thats what, i think they supposed to be needing...what the NSO stated at the secpa paper is only null & void by the court and the date... any idea of really bringing the court finality to the medical thing?...and may i ask what is the meaning of CD?..thanks...

My fiance submitted me a legal court annulement decree that i sent in with my visa app. She is legally annuled, but has yet to been updated at NSO. But a friend of hers also came already to the USA and in her interview all she had was the court certified decree, not the NSO updated one and the officer passed her with no problem. She just explained to him the NSO had not updated their records yet before the interview time arrived.. I think it will be ok..

MY 2 ANNULMENT WAS ALREADY UPDATED IT HAS A NSO NULL & VOID REMARKED BEFORE WE SUBMITTED IT TO THE USCIS...DO YOU THINK I STILL NEED THE COURT PAPERS EVEN ITS ALREADY BEEN CLEARED BY THE NSO?...BECAUSE IF IM GOING TO BRING THE FINALITY AND THE DECISION WAS THERE AND THE 1ST ANNULMENT WAS THE PSYCHOLOGICAL THING,,THE LAWYER MADE THAT REASON IN ORDER TO MAKE THE CASE QUICK...BUT THE QUESTION THERE IF THE MEDICAL PEOPLE WILL READ IT THEY MIGHT ASKED FOR A PSYCHIATRIC EXAM OR SOMETHING...SO DO YOU THINK ITS BETTER TO BRING THE FINISHED AND REGISTERED ONE? RATHER THE COURT FINALITY?..THANK YOU
ARE YOU DONE WITH YOURS?..PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE..THANKS A LOT...

HI EVERYONE, IM NEW HERE...IM ALSO WAITING FOR MY NOA2 ITS BEEN 165DAYS ALREADY SINCE WE RECEIVED OUR 1ST NOA DATED OCT 25, 2010, FILED AT CSC...

JUST WONDERING IF MY CASE WILL AFFECT OUR PETITION BECAUSE I GOT ANNULED TWICE "its a long story but in short these 2 marriages was legally null & void already and it appears to my NSO papers which was submitted to the USCIS together with the I129-F also,, all the requirements listed were folowed and submitted..do you think my 2 annulment situation will cause the delay?...
or if it`ll get approved do i need to explain it to the medical thing or consulate about my annulment of they might need also my case finality of my 2 annulment? or they just simply need my annulment decree from NSO? (annulment decree here in the philippines means the previous marriage contract remarked null and void by the court? is it?..coz thats what i submitted to the USCIS) just wondering coz my K1 case is different from the regular K1 filers...

anyone out there is familiar to my case?..please give me an advice :help: thank you very much...

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-129f was sent to VSC not to Texas

We've sent our I-129f to VSC, we weren't using the updated downloadable files so the mailing address was not the lockbox yet. The docs were still good as per the USCIS webpage states. We sent it Oct. 2010 and we got out NOA1 on Oct. 22. We're still waiting for NOA2 until now. We called USCIS last end of March and they said we have to wait another 41 days. Another couple who were doing the same thing sent theirs 2 week behind us but they already got their NOA2 last March 29, they sent it to Texas.
We're just getting anxious that there might be something wrong, maybe gotten lost or something, that's why we haven't gotten our NOA2. They didn't return our application so we were thinking that despite the confusion in the address it was still accepted.
Wondering if other people experienced this and what they did about it.

Thanks...

WE HAVE DESAME CASE...WE GOT OUR NOA1 LAST OCT 25TH BUT UNTIL NOW WE HAVENT GET ANY NEWS YET...I DUNNO KNOW WHATS WRONG ANYMORE....THE NOVEMBER FILER ARE ALMOST DONE SOME OF THEM HAS THEIR INTERVIEW SCHED ALREADY...THOUGH IM HAPPY FOR THEM BUT IT IS STILL NOT FAIR...WE ARE GOING TO ASK OR REQUEST FOR SENATE ASSISTANCE THIS MONDAY...SO THEY CAN CALL THE IMMIGRATION ABOUT THOSE DELAYS...WE`LL JUST TRY IF IT WORKS...

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedurescsc inquiry

Senator..(...personal information omitted...) I wish to thank you in advance for your help and assistance in the matter of my I-129F visa application. I feel extremely honored and blessed you (a member of the "Gang of 12") are looking into my case.
My case is as such: My fiancé and I met online December 23, 2010. We discovered she had relatives in town, which I went to meet and learn more about each other. My fiancé and I talked daily for hours at a time through meeting her family here, and talking to her daily. My fiancé and I became very close. I ended up planning a trip to her village right after New Year's Day. At that time, I did not know how dangerous the southern region of the Philippines was. I found out how dangerous the regions was when I arrived there being asked if I wished for military escort during my stay at the airport. Plus the hotel advised me not to be on the streets after dark, or stray away from the village of my fiancé I was visiting after dark. (I was advised to sleep in the village and not attempt to come back to the hotel until daylight.) When I came back, I found the US Embassy had travel restrictions on Embassy employees to the area.
On February 24, 2011, I filed my case with an expedite cover letter via Fedex overnight with the fee paid in Money Order from Fry's grocery store. On February 25, 2011 it was received at the Dallas lockbox. March 3, 2011, the application was received at the California Service Center (CSC) and placed under initial review. I requested an expedite based on the US Embassy recognizing the Philippine government declaring a state of emergency in the Mindanao region of the Philippines citing several rebel and terrorist activities which prove extreme emergent reasons. I also cited humanitarian needs based on the quality of life at the village. Also citing I am presently paying for her vaccinations and providing support to the family while waiting for her to enter the United States. Plus pointing out the quality of health there is extremely poor. The United States gives aid to many regions in the Philippines, however, this area is majorly overlooked. I am trying to help the village, but I am only one person.
March 16, 2011, I called the National Service Center (NSC) regarding the case. The person answering the phone asked why I was not in contact with the local Phoenix USCIS office. Then said person proceeded to tell me to contact the local Phoenix office. I requested to place a verbal expedite on the application, which was taken half-heartedly. I stated there was evidence in my application for the expedite request. No evidence was requested to be faxed or mailed in. March 17, 2011, I received a rejection notice without any consideration apart from verbal information given. The application was not even touched for reference according to the USCIS website. On April 6, 2011, I made an appointment with the local Phoenix USCIS office following up the advice on the phone. The appointment was April 15, 2011 . The appointment lasted 5 minutes, with being told by counter 7 there was nothing they could do, and to place a call to the NSC filing a "service request" on status. On April 18, 2011, I called the NCS to file a service request. I was denied placing a service request on the application since it was still under the allowable "processing time" even though I was inquiring about the expedite. The person on the phone stated, "if the expedite is not approved, there is no rejection letter sent. The adjudicator determines allowable expedite reasoning. I asked if the supervisor reviews the rejects or a director, (this is quoting the portion of exhibit "h" where the CSC states clearly ALL rejects are reviewed by a supervisor.) I was told if the adjudicator determines there is no reason for expedite, the application is left to process normally. There is no rejection letter given.
Some other things I have found out:
1) I-129F/I-130 (fiancé/spousal visa), according to the McCarran–Walter Act (Act of 1952)/ Immigration and Nationality Services Act of 1965 (Hart-Celler Act, INS, Act of 1965) as amended, was to be treated more preferentially than any other application.
2) There were reform Acts to protect and keep from abuse the spousal visa process but it is only addressing 1% (5,000 or less applications) of 350,000 to 500,000 applications a month.
3) 95% of fiancé/spousal visas are issued. However, the USCIS is vastly behind in processing I-129F applications. CSC is 5 months behind, while the Vermont Service Center and Texas Service Center are more than 6 months behind. See charts attached.
4) There were several reforms plus amendments to McCarran–Walter Act to provide tighter screening but not to extend preferential treatment to worker visas over fiancé/spousal visas. The INS and DHS has been allowed to determine processing time when original congress intent in 1952 McCarran–Walter Act and subsequent amendments was to unite immediate family members quickly.
5) The i-129F visas represent only 1% of the monthly applications at the center and take on average 5 months or more to process, while regular I-129 visas (about 10% of the monthly volume) take less than 8 weeks to process (exhibit "I" through "k")
6) The USCIS is self funded through visa application fees, yet has chosen to lay off workers or re-assign workers based on DHS Director approvals focusing on I-129 visas, and not K1/K2/K3/k4) visas. The layoffs were claimed to budget issues waiting for congressional budget approvals. (exhibit "h")
7) CSC runs two shifts of 700 employees and 400 contractors.
8) The I-129F and other family forms are in Division III at the CSC. The McCarran–Walter Act as amended never distinguished between I-129, I-129F(k1/k2) and I-130 (k3/k4) spousal visas. The INS, DHS, and USCIS has continually chosen to place preferential treatment on workers and NOT on families.
9) According to the CSC guidelines for 2003, ONLY IF there is a RED DOT on the envelope or application, does the application get expedited.
10) The director at CSC was appointed in August 2010.
11) Family reunification laws try to balance the right of a family to live together, or the right of a person to marry whomever he chooses, with the country's right to control immigration. A sub-case of family reunification is marriage migration, where one spouse immigrates to the country of the other spouse. Marriage migration can take place before marriage, in which case it falls under its own special category, or it can take place after marriage, in which case it falls under family reunification laws.
12) The vast majority of visa fraud is under the I-129 visa area. Many come over to work as managers in companies. By not finding "qualified" candidates locally, the managers can bring in people from their country or other countries to work in their department. There are many companies departments, if you look and surveyed the H1B visa staffing, are partly or completely by non United States residents under the guise of "unable to find local qualified workers".
13) Te K3 visa was meant to be a fast process. The K3 visa takes a longer time then the K1 visa process. Currently, it takes about 222 days to get a fiance or spouse to rejoin the family. Immediate family (husband/wife/ fiance/children) can take nearly a year from start to finish. While a working visa only takes 8 weeks, and companies can pay extra for expedites. Families are treated "go to back of the bus", very much like the years in the south before integration. This was not the intent of the McCarran–Walter Act. The McCarran–Walter Act as amended is to re-unite families first. Then the McCarran–Walter Act as amended allowed for workers.
14) Due to my fiance location and country, I am unable to get her a tourist visa while waiting for her I129F to be approved. In fact, the law actually forbids applying for a tourist visa or any other visa while waiting. The embassy also will not allow a visa after realizing a fiancé visa or k3/spousal visa has been applied for. My fiancé and I did not marry in her country due to the I-129F process being faster than the spousal visa process. Plus also knowing the marriage would have made her more of a target for kidnapping and ransom. Some countries have Visa waiver programs, or the embassy recognizes the K1 visa application and allows the person to travel on a tourist visa while waiting. (However, this happens is mainly in industrialized countries applying for the Visa Waiver program)

Can a bill be introduced and passed mandating immediate family (fiancé/spouse/children) be given all expedite treatment and be processed no later than 4 weeks with a maximum of 8 weeks, or a provision stating after the NOA1 is issued, the finance may travel on a tourist visa to the country while waiting on final approval?
Again, I thank you for your time in this matter. I hope you can help me in my case at the CSC to be expedited. But not only asking for me, if I have to wait I will wait. But I am also asking for help to fix the process for other families who are waiting on their loved ones to rejoin them. Please let me know your response in this matter. I am not only asking for help for me, but help in how to reform the system further then has been already done.
Sincerely,

I have found out the letter from senator has been received at the CSC and read. So am now waiting to seewhat the answer is. May do nothing, but at least I have tried.

seems like you just received your noa1 last march its too early for you to get noa2...the office might just said you havent reach the immigration timeline yet which is at least 5months..they will work on that if your petition have reached more than 5 months already..we did the same thing before..and thats what they says...but at least you tried...and who knows you are lucky enough to get your Noa2 in less then 5months,,,best of lucks...

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresMEDICAL AND INTERVEIW

JUST LOOKING FOR SOME ADICE ON MEDICAL AN INTERVEIW IN MANILA..MY FIANCE FROM CEBU AN WONDERING HOW MANY OF U ONLY MADE ONE TRIP THERE FOR BOTH MEDICAL EXAM AN INTERVEIW??? IS IT BETTER TO JUST STAY TILL INTERVEIW OR FLY BACK AN FORTH..HOW SOON BEFORE INTERVIEW CAN U HV UR MEDICAL EXAM DONE?? ANY HELP WILL DO,,THNKS AGAIN AND GOD BLESS U ALL

you better set an interview appointment as soon as possible coz as far as i know the embassy`s earliest time slot is already going on the 2nd week of august and if you have your interview appointment already then you could set your medical appointment 1 week before your interview date...that if, the results are normal or she has no scars due to suicide, annuled or has tattoes coz if she has any of these then she will undergo psychiatric evaluation and the result for that took 2-3days and if the doctor is not satisfied then the patient needs to have a psychiatric exam and the result for that is 2-3weeks..and oh the most important is the result of the chest xray, if its cleared then theres no problem but incase the result is not normal then that will cause a delay coz the patient needs to undergo sputum, and it took 2-3months for the result again if its positive then it has a 6-7 months of medication...

i am from dumaguete nearest island of cebu, in my case i had my medical already last june 6 and my interview date in on the 12th of july..at least i have a 1month gap from my interview date at least if there is a problem i still have enough time to fix, and also i am annuled so i know i will undergo psychiatric evaluation and fortunately i passed the evaluation so i dont need to have a psycho exam anymore..so, the case will depend on the person`s health and history from the past and if everything is fine then she could just have a medical 1 week before the interview...so she could just go to manila in just 1 flight for medical and interview...goodluck and have a good day.

I DONT think its okay cos its in the i-134 form instruction that says conceal any material fact, with form I-134 will deny the application.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK1 medical report - did yours come sealed

Yes, of course there are issues with it. The reason it's sealed is because it contains the panel physicians certification that you are not inadmissible to the US for health reasons. If you open it then it's tainted - it could have been tampered with. You probably need to return to the panel physician's office to have it inspected and resealed.

I SUPER AGREE WITH THE UPPER POST  . Follow that instruction.
