Which reminds me to ask, anyone here got job tips because i have been looking at jobs and applying for two months ne'er one interview yet. I know i'll get it if I get an interview, I just need one. i hate having my husband have to work his #### off and me just stay home, we need two incomes, plus I'm used to the freedom of earning. I used to teach esl and literacy in london,but i have years of administrative work experience, I was even a prison librarian. Help anyone.. Oh and did i mention i live in stinking rass Michigan. 17 percent unemployment to rahtid... i so want to leave this*(&^(*%*@&%&....Breaaathe ...loool! Help!!! Mexico, Latin & South America	Yardies at home and a farrin, Part 27!	Okay Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I just couldn't wait to jump on here to say that my hubby has a job!!!! He got the very first job he applied for!! Yayyy.. He will be working at a Senior complex doing Custodial work. Funny thing is that he applied and when he went back the next week to check on his application, they said they hired someone. He was dissapointed. The lady was very impressed with him though and his resume (patting myself on the back and thanking Lady C and Sunny) she said she would call him if they needed anyone else. Low and behold she called today!!!! He will be starting on 7/1 (what a nice birthday gift for him) It has full medical coverage, 401k benefits, paid vacation and sick time. We go tomorrow for drug-test. It's pretty much a done deal. He can walk or ride a bike (which he wants to do) and his hours are 8 to 5. Weekends off... IM SO PROUD OF HIM!! Anyone's hubbies who he talks to ladies, please don't say anything especially on FB. He wouldn't want me talking about it just yet and I understand it.. but shoooo yall family Praise God!!! Septemeber is a good time to go to Disney. It's some cooler here and it's not crowded at all. If you need anything I live close by, but otherwise I'm going to let you 2 love birds be on your honeymoon. Speaking of Disney... since everyone has so much love for it...let's have a Disney Yardie link up. They even have a hat that is Mickey ears with dreds and beads. Ok so I know it's expensive, but they are offering free food if you stay in one of their hotels. I'm just trying to get a link up going where I don't have to travel. lol Great idea... my mom lives in orlando and i never been to disney... Mexico, Latin & South America	Yardies at home and a farrin, Part 27!	Good Morning All, Hope everyone is doing well. Hope everyone had a great weekend as well. Is anyone a nurse on here? I currently have my BA in Business/Human Resources and work as a Workers' Compensation Specialist, However, I been wanting to get my Nursing Degree, with the hours I work this has made it difficult for me to persue it. However, I am signing up for a Medical Assistant program that is 9 mnths long it will start next month and then I am looking to transfer into the RN program immedately following which I have been told is not a problem by several people at different schools. I just wanted to get a perspective from a nurse's standpoint if this would be a good move because I remmeber several years back you had to do the LPN and then RN after the Medical Assistant program and believe you me, I do not want to go through all those hurdles. I'd suggest gettin into a Nursing as a second degree program- or Accelerated Nursing Degree program for folks who already hold a Bachelors degree. We went shopping as we said we would and it was so much fun, it felt great to hear hubby say "baby get what you want, I got it" In the end I didn't get nothing much, I let him get more things for himself since it was his 1st pay. I just miss him so much since he got this little hustle going on but I ain't gonna complain because we needed this extra money in our budget. That psychic reading really got me thinking, talking bout 5 kids!! I'm anxious to see if I'm really gonna be prego by september I just loved it when she said my 1st born will be a girl because boy oh boy I just want a baby girl oh so badly!! I did it!! I got my welcome to america letter today, saying my greencard should arrive in the next 3 weeks. freaking awesome... i did a little dance, whine up mi waist. now to finding a *(&(claht job!.. ..... bout to go down to the detroit riverwalk for the riverwalk festival... ok 1 year and 6 months to lifting conditions.... 2 years 6 months to citizenship and then no more uscis ever. xx Ga-lang dear... Mexico, Latin & South America	Yardies at home and a farrin, Part 27!	i like the breakdown of how ppl met thier hubby or wife. can i share mine.... i had been single for almost 8 years it was 2005, i just left a church i had been going to since i was 19. so it was a tumultuous time. that and I was unemployed. I just retrained to teach adults and the manager where i was didnt like me because i trained her, and she couldnt take it that I was better at it than her( weird nervous little woman who claimed to have been bullied because she was gay in her last job) so i left, and happilly too. i worked for about a month and then up rolled september, then november, then december.. lol all this time i remember talking to my friend saying "i feel so excited and i dont know why" . I remember praying and just getting the drop that in two years i'm gonna meet my husband.that was 2006 I was going online at first looking for love, then i gave up by 2007 after all the gits that i met up with, players, ppl who just wanted sex. I used to go into a chat room to talk and have a laugh on yahoo. It got shut down and they all migrated to another chat client. whilst there i started talking to a few ppl, one dude with the longest name i was like who dis. we got to talking at first i thought hmm maybe but he was dating someone. so we just remained friends. all that year 2006 i was dating, so was he. we on the phone chatting. then we found ourselves free. We continued to chat, I put it out of my mind that he could be it, but that whole year from january new years day i knew, and kept on telling my friends and even him " this is the year i'm meeting my husband" well to cut a long story short, it was about may that we realised something was going on, by june he knew i was for him, and by august i went over to meet him in Michigan and we both knew. three days later he proposed to me in the kitchen lol..... very informal. it was two years exactly. I'm glad i met all those players because even if my husband gets on my last nerve i know what it took to get him. ok soppy bit over..... back to fassing inna ppl bidness Thats a lovely story mis... you are too cute lol *UPDATE* I discovered that my Congressman's Constituent Services Office is literally across the street from my work. I just walked into their office, looked the lady in the eye, told her my story and handed her all the paperwork she needs to make a formal inquiry. Praying this helps!! Monster.com, yahoo jobs, usajobs.com, sunday papers have a lot of jobs, Unemployment office,craigslist, even try driving to somewhere that you are interested and ask. That is what Eric did all of the above. Sorry for your loss MissusM09, I just went through something similar a few months ago. I am still feeling the heartache. It does get better as time goes on Oh and Finesse Please have a drink for me. Lord knows it is five o' clock somewhere and I can't drink. How is Matt and Kaci doing too? they must be happy as a couple of pigs in mud... well a couple days ago i saw a great quote from a lady on one of these hair forums, she said all men want is "food, sex and piece" . I asked my husband if this was true and he said yes with alot of support too. so there you go ladies, lol, Piece of food, some piece and peace... Men are simple creatures. Whats up ma?? Haven't been around in awhile... These hours got me all over the place messed up. Glad to know everythi is working out with you hon Well, I had a great weekend.. Friday night we went and did laundry although both of us were tired. Saturday, my brother, sister and niece and nephew went to see Despicable Me.. very cute movie! Saturday night we hung out with RegAl and her hubby.. I was feeling no pain and jamming to some tunes I was trying to get fresh with Steve but my back dictated otherwise LOL.. Sunday I parked the car and hopped on the train to Center City Philadelphia with hubby. He was so sweet and purchased me a pair of sneakers on Saturday and we had to take them back because I needed a whole size smaller. We had fun though just kickin it.....I also took him to a Jamaican market and he was bumbaclattin this and that but in a good way. He found a lot of things he wants to come back and get. He was so pleased. (little things mean so much) This morning, we found out that someone stole his bike so I had to drive him to work so he wouldnt be late. The is so freakin busy! Whoa, what a weekend lol Glad ya enjoyed urself and bun dem bad-mind people dem 1 dude puked in the yard 1 dude passed out in the hammock What a timme unu did have lol...
