Mexico, Latin & South America	Yardie Party!!! Come as you are - Part 1	I don't have a specific website that I stick with. What I do is search expedia/hotels/cheaptickets/carribean.com for packages (airfare and hotel included), then I'll go to the hotel's website that I'm interested in and check to see if I would save more if I book the ticket and hotel separate. Sometimes the hotels have a special so once in a while I'll book separate. Don't forget to make tripadvisor.com your best friend ALWAYS read hotel reviews from there and look at recent pictures that guests posts. It sounds like a lot of work but it really isn't. Where do you plan on going? Negril, Montego Bay or Ocho Rios? Which airport do you travel from? I am bussing my butt . I've booked a million flights but we were trying to book our hotel & flights separately, which I am hesitant to do also. We wanna fly into MoBay- stay 3 nights at an all-inclusive resort, then travel to Kitson town and spend another 3 nights then come back to Philly. I've been browsing Cheap caribbean, skyauction, booking buddy, etc... I use Bookingbuddy.com to search Expedia, trip advisor and all them... Thanks much love... Mexico, Latin & South America	Yardie Party!!! Come as you are - Part 1	Ok I have to vent....Me and my hubby told his mother to go and get her passport, from the time we started the paper work. Anywhos she never studied with us and she finally decided to go and get it last minute abt 2 wks ago. Now when she finally got it and called to get her date at the embassy the gave her a Sept 7 date...The fricking wedding is Aug 28!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then she going to call us all frantic oh she dont know what to do?????Ammm if you listened u would have had an earlier date..... AWWWWWWW !!!!! she make me want to scream. Note we also reminded her after he got approved and rememeber it took him a month to get back his passport she had time all then. Now we have to email the embassy requesting an earlier date hoping they will grant it. ummm wow lol. its funny how we dont listen to good advice and then cry when they cant get the results they want. Mexico, Latin & South America	Yardies - How did you meet your SO?	I met my hubby almost five years ago when I was on F2 under my mom. We dated for like a year before I decided to go home and get my own F1; knowing it might break us up. We continued talking while I was in Jamaica but I got caught up in some legal issues with the law and they were trying to get me to stay and help prosecute some dude. It was taking too long because of course we slow when it come to the courts and anybody can buy off anybody, so I told them I'll just give my statement but I cannot stay in JA any longer just to help out a case. Anyways, I went to Detroit to do my Associates; still talking to hubby. About 4 months later he asked my dad if we could get married (so cordial lol). I'd visit every other month or so to see him, he came and saw me once in Detroit for my 2008 bday (his first time leaving Delaware). We kept our relationship up that year, and by Jan 2009, I took the semester off to be with him for his first semester in college. We were fine until we started arguing about when to get married (sounds silly, i know) but he wanted to get married there and then but i wanted to get my degree first. At that time I was just getting into USCIS because of helping my brother but atill had a lot more to learn. I left to Orlando to see my mom- whom I hadnt seen for 3 years. While there me and hubby kept fighting and ended up breaking up because "he wanted to get married now, or we wont get married at all" so i left him. We broke up for like 4-5 months (he kept paying my phone bill though) and tried mending our relationship last August when I FINALLY decided to visit. They must ahve several reason, because I never met my SO's parents and he never met mine. We met through a mutual friend as I believe you did. Does your SO's parents live in the same town? That would be definatly a red flag. My SO's family did not live in travel distance and are extreemly ederly.
