What is the expiration date on the form, you can print it out now and have hubby to sign it, do not date it.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751 Processing Time in Vermont Center?
It's 8 to 12 months, average processing time. Just sit back and wait, you have the extension letter, life goes on as if there are no delays.

You should only start checking when you get to the 7 month mark, to ensure there were no RFE's issued.

Another option is to try and re-submit everything and include 2 checks: one for $85 and one for

$905

. Address both to US Department of Homeland Security and in the memo box write" ROC biometrics fee for ( your Alien number)" and on the other write "ROC petition fee for (your Alien number)" and see if that works. I sent in two separate checks, but that was a few years back now.

CORRECTION: $905 QUOTED SHOULD BE $509.

Yes that will be okay, you are not tied to your father's petition. Your stepmother could have petition you without your father as long as they were married before you were 18 years of age,

Note as long as all of the other legal issues had been covered.

Okay, the husband can file for citizenship after 3 years of being married to the orginal petitoner.

The children if age is greater than 18 can file after 5 years. The children's petition is separate from the fathers if relationship is still married.

I even still feel fear every time i check our mails that i might receive a letter to appear in court about my arrest that night :( Thanks everyone for your respond everyone. telling me it will not affect my ROC makes me feel a lot better. @ iishin: no, i was not driving that night.

Matt, the word "lie" only has one definition when it comes to being un-truthful. If lieing is how you or others live your life so it maybe, but don't use it as an excuse to get what you want.

Don't make lieing an ok source of survival. White lie, Blue lie, Green lie, small lie, big lie or half truths are all the same.

Yes, USIC will take the expired GC if you wish to have the stamp, which means you will have to carry your passport around to be able to show proof when requested that you are legally here in the US.

Yes, the US government is aware that there are some airline companies that are not educated on the proper documents that are used by the US government for legal presence in the US. That being said this does not make it an action that should make the US government hange it's process and procedures. If this is a major problem for those whose home countries have an education problem with the US immigration procedures, than those individuals should maybe change their visitation behavior to coniside with when they have received the offical replacement GC.

The extension letter for the expired GC has been in place for the last 20 yeaars, and if a country has not educated the proper people on this procedure whose fault is it, not the US government. If you feel the airline you are traveling on is 2nd rated, than maybe it would be best to change to a reliable airline that is up todate on the US process and procedures.

The US government serves a wide range of people from many different countries, it is not the US government responiblilty for the actions of a few airline companies that do not educate it's employees in proper procesdures. To use a lie to gain a stamp is truly a mis use of the US government services. I am sure if the situation is explain in a clear and consise manner, the end result would have been the same without the lie. That lie has now de-value you as an individual; who maybe seeking citizenship to a country that opened it's arm wide to you.

Jamaica will not let U fly out with expired GC U have to go to US embassy and get some kind of stamp or
kind of letter, the airlines do not want to pay a fine or giving the person returned a free seat

That is not true, my husband and I have flown out of Jamaica numerous times with his expired GC along with the extension letter with no problems at all. So will people stop giving unbais statements. We have never been asked for a stamp from any of the arilines, AA, JetBlue nor United. We have been with friends who have their expired GC along with the extension letter and they had no problems.

Our 1st time flying on the GC extension letter was even 3 days afyer doing the bio, and we didn't have one problem. We flew back and forth 3 times that year with the extension letter.

Here is a fact for you

Bangladesh is one of the major labour-sending countries of the world. Each year
a large number of people voluntarily migrate overseas for both long- and shortterm

Now I find it irritating, dude open your eyes, which world you live in? What does the country flag on my profile say? You work for USCIS? Can you guarantee me by writing down on a paper with notarization that I won't have any hard time flying back to the US? I am sure can't so, keep on reading my thread & please only speak if you have something useful to say.

Best Regards.

Oh, I saw the country flag, but with all of the hype I thought maybe it was some country that have very little migration to the USthroughw, it's you who I don't understand why you have such an issue with what has been told to you, not just by immigration and the notice on the 751 extension letter. So what is the real problem, people have been flying back and forth to Bangladash for years with this situation. So again, what is the real problem?

Again, once again someone trying to assist and the poster gets rude.

All of this un-necessary post about something that is a daily routine for most airlines. Most airlines are used to seeing the 751 extension letter unless they just went into operation yesterday.

The extension letter along with the expired GC will be well received by the airlines. Getting the stamp is a un-necessary step. You are not the only LPR who have traveled in and out of a country with an expired GC along with an extension letter. These letters have been into place over the last 20 years. Now if your country is one where no one migrates from and you are the 1st to be a LPR of the US from that country than I would be concern,

Travel enjoy and come back safetly.

Lets define what NVC means by 30 Business working Days from the date NVC scan in your received mail.

Weekend , Holidays, non working days(due to inclement weather) are not considered as part of the thirty(30) Business working days. Thirty Business working days do not equal to 4 weeks. So this means any calls before the twenty Business day will gain you nothing, but disappointment.

There should be an initial call to establish your mail scan date, than the 30 business working days count should begin. At the time you are within the 20-25 days, a weekly call can help put you into prospective as to where NVC maybe at their processing time.

Anything else means you are causing the phone time backlog, and those who really have need of assistance are unable to get in cue. This also causes backlog within the adjudication of the documents that are in cue for review.

Hence this adds to the backlog problem, which than put your documents at the 30 working business days for review.

To give everyone a clear picture of how mail is delivered to a US government agency.

All mail is delivered to a separate location than the actual physical office. These locations are only open Monday through Friday. The US post office, FedEx, or UPS, etc hold any mail that is due to be delivered on a weekend or holiday until the next available business day in which the mail location is open.

One, that is why mail delivered to NVC is not actually scan on the date that it is delivered.
Two, the mail depot is a separate office than the NVC process and review office, therefore the two do not work on the same OT schedule.

NVC is presently working on documents that have been scanned on May16, 2014. To those who keep asking about how to fill out the i864 or i864A, if you would just take a little time to read the instructions for the forms, all of your questions are answered in the guide. This will help to eliminate the checklists that most people are getting.

Also, if you don't think you have the capability to complete such forms, than invest in asking someone who. Maybe close to you to help understand the terms that are used on the documents. please remember your mistakes help creates the backlog that NVC has.

If everyone has to resubmit documentations two to three times, than you are the culprit that have help created the back logs. I am not being mean just trying to get. People to slow down and submit the correct information the first time.

PhilippinesWill the Pharmacies here Honor the prescription that is given by a Philippine doctor?

@Sergi9 and tmma, Yes we have urgent care here just across the street. Walking distance. And yes, we need prescription of the syringes here in TN. But her meds are not separate. It's one injectionable pen shots thingy, I don't know what's it's called. But I might also tell my parents about the syringes prescription.

Thanks for the reminder and tips.

It is nice that those on VJ are giving you some information, but your mother has a medical condition that has to be monitored. An urgent care center probably won't treat her because she needs to be seen by a specialist. The medication (insulin and needles) will need a prescription from a doctor that has a valid DEA number in the US database. Your mother has a life threatening medical condition that needs to be evaluated and treated by a medical doctor. There will be no short-cuts around getting her the proper treatment. Yes, mother probably can bring with her a 3 to 6 months supply of insulin to help her into the transition, but your mother must be seen by a specialist for her condition. Having the medical records will help her future doctor to evaluated her care in the past.

PhilippinesWill the Pharmacies here Honor the prescription that is given by a Philippine doctor?
A pharmacist will not honored a prec written from a doctor from another country because the doctors DEA number must be verified in order to honored his prec. The DEA database do not have information on all doctors worldwide. Insulin is not one of the drugs that are listed on the $4.00 list at Walmart or Costco.

In order for a new doctor to write your mother a presc, he/she will have to do a new consultation, with the results from their own lab work request. This is a requirement per law and medical liability. You should have brought your mothers complete medical records from her physician in her home country. Note the medical records should have been translated into English, unless the new physician can read/speak the language.
