...that is the root problem.

I know all comments are made from frustration, but how do you know that USCIS don't hire top graduates, were you denied a job with them, .... because you graduated at the top of your class. Please people, comments like this does not helped the situation. If I worked for USCIS and I read some of the negativity about me and my co-workers and the jobs we performs, I would go on a work slow down too. Some of the people that you are offending probably uses the internet and have read your comments. Well it looks like another work slow down.

If it is meant to happen it will happen soon.

Well....I'm one week away from the interview and I'm starting to feel anxious. I'm going to collect the police certificates today and the only thing I have left to get is the medical report (called the doc's office and they said it's not ready as yet). I've put my documents together and also all the "evidence" of martial union that I have that's portable laughing.gif.

7 days and counting down...please send all your good vibes and prayers this way. good.gif

Good luck on you interview...

Please, continue to use the I-864EZ, find the line item that says Total Gross Income on the 1040 and use the income that is calculated there. The I-864EZ is the correct form if you are only using income to meet the requirements.

Hi guys...

So the NVC just accepted my payment for AOS and I am beginning to assemble the packet. My question is, which one of the forms (I-864 or I-864EZ) would be better to complete. I'm only filing for my husband, and of course my salary from my job exceeds the 125% poverty guidelines. Wouldn't I be better off just doing the EZ form? Seems like less of a hassle. Anybody had any problems with any one of the forms versus the other? Thanks for your help! good.gif

Hey Mrs. P, use the 864EZ form. WE have paid our IV fee, so now I am getting ready to send in the last documents.

Man Rox, yall are moving quick! Good for you girl! If this is the one I can do, then I suppose I'll go with this one.

I overlooked the fact that he will need to sign part I of the 230 form, so tonight I will be scanning it in the system and e-mailing it to him, so he can sign it and send it back to me overnight. One of the shortcuts (ling) don't tell you that 2 passport photo's are needed for this process, make sure you have enough passport photos on hand too.

When I was down there a few weeks ago I had him take 6 passport photos and I brought back 4...I also had him sign 3 copies of the DS 230 Pt 1 as well...he's going to pick up his police certificate tomorrow (they never called to let him know it was ready), and I will send him the money to have it sent over here via FEDEX or DHL...I just don't trust the JA mail system with something so important...

That's good.. I will be soo glad when all of this is over, it's so taxing.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresHuge confusion
Freddy, I can say from experience that the spouse visa takes about 9 to 12 months for completion. So, if you have just started in January, you'll might be completed somewhere along, late October to December.

There is plenty of information on this site to help you thru the process. Good luck going forward.

You can send in the I-864 package now, since the AOS fee has been paid, make sure the cover sheet bar code document is sen with the package. You will need to pay the IV fee, and wait until it is stated paid so you can download the cover sheet to sent in with the Ds203.

All of this information is spelled out in the James short-cut gude under the Home/wiiki tab. http://www.visajourn...Jame's_Shortcut

Mrs. Palmer you can pay the IV bill and delay sending in the documents. They tell you that you have up to a year to submitt the documents.

This is what is quoted on NVC website in the Instructions that they tell you to follow:

Appointment NVC Processing
Page 1 2 3 4 5 6 7

Original Document Requirements
The applicant and each family member who will accompany the applicant to the United States will need to submit original documents or certified copies of the documents listed in this section from an appropriate authority (the issuing entity).

So pepole please be careful with what you'll are telling people, because things are changing everyday. They should be following the instructions that are given from the requester.

It depends on the OP, they may allow you to interview, but they will NOT APPROVE WITHOUT ONE.

Now as I look at your timeline, you are a CR1, so you have already sent in the orginal to NVC, correct, so what has happen is you have lost the duplicate. Do you need the duplicate for the interview, that's the question I quess you are asking.

E-mail the embassy and ask them.

Marie, I am not quite sure how you want to use the financial aid on the AOS. Do you count financial aid as income on your income tax? The purose of financial aid is to assit the student in paying for their education and assit with incidental and living expenses while they are attending school.

I do not believe that a government agency would consideded money that was recieved for eductional purpose to be used to support the livivng expenses of someone else who was not listed on the application that was used to obtain the aid.

I do appologize if this question has posted, i have seen something before but cant find it.

Realistically speaking, how much faster was the CR 1 for you? Are you happy with the decision that you made?

I currently applied for 1130 and the 129 to make it faster, but everyone seems indifferent. I have my approval so let me know asap, and maybe how to cancel the 129 to go the CR 1 route.

I just wanted to add my two cents.. my hubby was approved for both the I129 & I130.. currently we are chartering the I129 path only because I didn't file an I130 for my step daughters at the same time I filled for him, well long story short.. our approval came on 02/10/09.. the paper work was sent to the Kingston embassy, and that's where it' been for months now..if I had know this, I would have gone with the I130 and let the states process the rest of our paperwork. At least if I had any questions, I could contact someone and get a straight answer... sorry for the rambling.. headbonk.gif ... Blessings

Mrs. Hamilton, if you don't mind sharing, what has Kingston told you regarding why your K3 is not scheduled for an interview date?

Bunz, at the interview they give the orginals back to you. So make sure you take phtocopies to the interview. Bunz, this is another reason I am against anyone doing the K3 at the Kingston embassy. This case was sent to Kingston in March, and they are just getting around to assigning an interview date. If they had followed thru with the CR1 at NVC, they would be getting an interview date around about now, but also when he arrived in the Usa HE WOULD ALSO HAVE HIS GC.

After, they arrive in the USA, they will still have to adjust status at a cost of 1050.00 vs just paying the extra 470.00. If they just do the EAD card, that is still 360.00. They will still have to adjust staus before the 2 years are up, and that is 1050.00.

Good morning,

Our case was finally finished at NVC yesterday, 06/17/2009, but we have an interview dated at the embassy for our k3 on 07/06/2009. I will try calling NVC today or tomorrow to see if they could send our completed case over to the embassy so we can use the July date for our CR1 interview. I hope I am successful at this. Do anyone think I will get any push back from NVC, regarding having them forwarding our case out to meet the July interview date? Do I call the embassy and inform them that we now have a completed CR1 case at NVC, and that our K3 will now be a CR1?

If anyone have done this please share a little insight on your success in making this chnage happen.
