Good everning ladies,

I am sharing this bit of information with some reservations, but please discuss this with your GYN if you wish to know more. This was a conversation I had with my GYN a long time ago, so I am only sharing it as informational.

I want to stop my period while I am on holiday

Question

Can anything be prescribed by my GP to stop my period while I am on holiday for one week?Answer

Indeed you can. This is a commonly asked question and your GP will be aware of what to do.

There are two easy ways of doing this and the choice is partly a personal one, partly depends on the patient's state of health and partly on how long you have before your holiday.
• One method is to start taking the oral contraceptive pill, provided there are no reasons why you should not take it. You need to start at least one cycle before the one you want to miss. At the end of the first pack, instead of stopping and having a period, you just carry on and stop when you get back from holiday. You don't need to complete the second pack.
• Another method which can be used up to a week or ten days before the period that you want to postpone is due (but the earlier the better) is to take a progestogen such as Norethisterone. This needs to be taken three times a day continuously until after you return from holiday, and can then be stopped. A period usually follows about 48 hours later. This method can be used if for medical or other reasons the contraceptive pill is not suitable.
Go along and see your GP well before your leave, and enjoy your holiday

Roxie, I'm doing the same thing. I got part of the payment last week, but please be careful and meet with these people. My house is empty and I'm renting to a large family for 5 days. They have other activities to tend to that week in D.C. They have family driving in from all over the place. It's going to be a crazy week and I'm so glad I'm off January 20th. A lot of my friends and co-workers are also doing the same. Some people are being so greedy. The family was referred to me by one of my co-workers and some of the deal they were getting were outrageous.

My cousin is chargin 10gs! lol and a deposit of 1g......hi everybody long tyme no seeee

Honey, Sunny and Tre, I am soory to hear that you'll are not feeling well. The Flu season is here, so be careful. Honey and Sunny, I would make a dr's visit to see about the mosquito bites, to make sure you didn't get infected. That's just an FYI for yourself.

Tre, the flu bug has started here in the DC area, so you might have just caught the virus.

Ladies you'll take care of yyour selves.

i really wish one of the ladies on here would put together a thread called FILING FOR DUMMIES

cause im looking at the very first document i have to complete and im already confused??? the form G325A
has file number on it??? dont know what that is and should i fill it in, then there is the box that says family name"
Father
Mother
Maiden Name, they want what, my dads last name, my moms last name and then my first name???

then there is the box that says this form is submitted in connection with an application for (1)naturalization (2) status of permanent residence (3) other/.....?????

this is only the biographic data form and already im tripping....LOL

Honey, look at the top they have a link titled sample forms, just follow that for starters. One set to G325A is your information and the other is his. Just start with filling out your information first.

i am really trying to wait until spring break for that tomisha, so that they dont miss school, what me and dwayne decided on is definitely we will file K1, but because he has extended family and i dont, we are going to do a commitment ceremony on the beach in April which is spring break, so that my boys can come down, any of my family and friends that want can come and he will have access to his family, friends and coworkers as well. that will be as close to a wedding as i get i guess, and then when he gets to the states, we will just go in front of a judge.

my oldest son may not make it long enough to see april if he keeps on walking round here like he is the shyt...LOL

Oh ok...the commitment ceremony sounds nice...just be careful about presenting any of that info or pics to immigration as "proof of your relationship". I've read elsewhere on the forum that some consular officers are suspicious of those types of ceremonies and can delay your process to do more "investigating" to make sure that you are not trying to get over on them blink.gif BTW, are we all gonna be invited as well? good.gif

Honey, I agree with Mrs. P, just be careful. And yes we will be there if asked.

Honey, we haven't left you, I was just composing another e-mail. I agree with Mrs. P, Dewayne sounds like a good guy. Yes, wasn'yt you going to take your sons down to meet D, on this next trip.

I'm taking Brycie to Joel in February and I am going to leave her with him for two weeks, ha ha, that's what he wants but Brycie is not his child so that will be impossible.

If spirit keeps running those 9.00 dollars flights, we all might be able to come to you'll committment ceremony.

When Joel was here last year, we went to Chicken and waffle at the Blvd, one night and the waitress there kept starring at Joel, then she kept asking him questions about his accent. I kicked him under the table, then I got up and said sense it seems like you want to talk to him, I was leaving, I took my car keys out and left the resturant. Did he not come running and laughing, talking about I forgot to pay my bill and what was wrong with me.

Sunny, these girls here are rough, they will snatch a man from sitting with you if they think they can do it.

So what were you painting before Evan arrived. If everything is too perfect, he may feel he's not needed. You will find your ring, check your pants pockets from the other night.

So she's not supposed to want things to look nice? Did she marry a servant?

Sus, since nothing in my satement allured act about a anyone acting in a role as a servant, so I will not respond to your statement.

But, let me bring back to your attention, Malita had commented in a post that Evan had told her not to do everything, because he wanted to help her. I'm sure you missed that post.

You know what I don't need negative people in my life, because my life is good. To all of those whose friendship I value I will contact you personally, but considered this my sign-off to negative and smart ### comments. I will no-longer post on VJ.

Hey RoxieJoe. My Thanksgiving was great. I dont want to see food for another month. We had Turkey (obvoiusly) and we are Jamaican so we had Curry chicken/goat, roast beef, jerk pork, rice and peas etc. Iam coming to the states for the US thanksgiving and BLACK FRIDAY kicking.gif

So 1luv, that means more turksy then. Black FRIDAy may start early in the stores tis year, I thought I heard one store was already advertising 70% off. I think it was meant as a joke, but if it meant getting customers in the door, then good luck to them.

Good morning , I just read this thread from the young lady who lost her baby along w. the issues she's having with her husband. See this link:http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=156438.

Folks needs to be real careful on how they are responding to her, this case has taken a twist which doesn't look well. Someone needs to be a advocate for her, and physically touch her because things have spiral out of control. I don't want to say much, because she is still posting and reading on VJ. I know this isn't our job, but someone needs to do something NOW.

She is deeply depressed...lots of things happening in her life at this point. She's been trying to work through it by talking it out for a while now. I hope she seeks any other attention she may need. She's a really sweet girl.

Jomo, I know she is, but I am afraid that something someone says to her here on VJ, might take her over the edge. I don't think people should be responding to her posting, sometimes just the wrong word will make sonone who is severly depressed act. Iam not a medical doctor, so I don't want to say or imply anything.

I understand trying to think about your finance in a situation like this. When I went down for my wedding, I had booked the Hotel for myself at the Courtleigh and my GF booked a hotel for her at another location(trying to be cheap), when her Hotel room was not ready until the day after we arrived, so I offered to share my room w/her the first night. So, on the first day I didn't go to the Hotel right away becasue i was staying at Joel place right. Do you know she cancelled her hotel room and tried to stay in my Hotel room the entire stay.
