Kimmy, I wouldn't totally agree with you on that, I don't think it is based on race it's based on maturity and an entitlement attitude that is given off.

Most of us live in a very diverse world, so race is not an issue.

Good night

Now Honey why are you showing up at such a late hour?

This is my thing, when I get off of the plane and into the car, I hand over whatever money I budget to spend for the trip to Joel. Now, I do hold back some US dollars back for my return flight homeexpense, but when that moment on, all of my needs must be handled by my husband.

If I want a drink, I just tell Joel and he should provide, I have not had any problems yet. If I want to buy gifts, I tell him and he gives me the spending money, so I never know when we have spent more or less than what i have handed him.

It was the same here in the US, if I was paying for dinner I would hand him my credit card, and let him give it to the waitress.

So, on that note if it's okay for farrin to keep their culture, why is it not okay for Blacks in the US to have their own culture. Such as Rap music... note I am not a big fan of Rap music, but I don't believe it should be censored either. Rap is a culture thing.

Mrs. P, you are so right, the respect from the community must be earned. When I am with my husband in Jamaica, I always let him take the lead. If we go to a store to buy something to eat or drink, I let him pay. I just step back from the counter and let him provide. In Jamaica, all funds are our money, their is no separation. I generally hand him my american dollars, so he can convert them to JA dollars. I never carry an JA dollars on me, unless I am with his mother.

Yes, you do hear it all the time, that if you are goin to Jamaic, you are goin to get your freak on. That is one reason in all of my travel I would never visit Jamaica. I will personally say this, if I had not met my husband here in the US, I would never have gone to JA.

Even now when strangers hear that I am married to a Jamaican, they always asked did I meet him in JA when I went on vacation. I tell them no, I meet him here in the US, but he lives in Jamaica.

When I first went to Jamaican to meet my husband family and friends, I meet so many people who told me that they knw I was farrin because for one they wanted to say I was white, I could pass as a caribbean of spanish descent. But in US, I am mistaken for espanish aswell. Also, they told me that they had never seen my husband walk with an woman the entire time he has lived in that community, all of his life.

My entire family is multi-cuture so being with Joel never felt out of place.

Sorry, I wasn't back earlier to respond to the question about do I feel that some comments that have been made about the JA man, has been made in such a manner that it gave the impression, that he should tow the line because I brought you here.

What I find is that not everyone understand what it means for this Ja man to now be in the US and now he is now cosidered under the label of Africian American. Being a black man in this country is hard. Every movement and action of his is judged at a 200% level, where a white man is judged at 80% level.

I have always said when you are judging a black man, you are also judging a black woman, because that black man was birthed by a black woman.

I will allways judge a black man by the way he treats his mother, if he treats his mother like shyte, then in my book he will treat his woman the same way.

Well, I don't care what the race of the individuals are, as long as they respect them as men. I hate it when I hear people say, well he better do this because I made it possible for him to be here. No, that is not correct, Men should be treated like Men.

Mrs. Palmer that's what I want this trip to be about, the eye-opening in his space. See Joel has lived here in the US for 9 mos, and we spent six of those months together. We only lived together 1 of those months, so it was like a boyfriend from ut of town. I'm hoping we can capyure the true feeling of living together as husband and wife, before he arrives here to live permantely.

Mrs. Palner, I know what you mean by the financially strain, I have a business that right now is going bust and I have worked hard to try to save it. But I don't know, now I am trying to be away from here for a month, to try to re-group myself mentally. But I don't know what to do any more. This economic situation has turned my life upside down, but I know it's something GOD is trying to tell or show me. So, I will just put it in his hand and pray.

But..look at you!!! You are coming home so soon!!! TOMORROW!!!!! (right?) You got your VISA back really quickly didnt you??

Shrewd, I will say a special prayer that you'll get a date in January. It has to happen, this has dragged itself out way too long. Being away from you husband on Christmas is hard, and I feel you on this.

Hey Jakewife, I know you are pissed right now, but shake it off and think about all that is waiting for you here in the US(Your husband). Now on to good news, you will be spending every night with your husband going forth. No more agruging over the phone, now it will be face to face. That in itself is a blessing. I don't know how anyone can win an agrument over the phone, its more like agreeing to dis-agree. Hint: phone sex can't replace the real thing. So now you can be real for real.

Good moring to everyone else down there.

Yeah, we would have but she put us in touch with the DHL office in JA and they said he can have someone else pick it up. So his cousin his flying up on Saturday so we are going to have her bring it up and meet her at JFK and see if we can just get it all sorted out.

Portland, I would be quite concern about this statement form DHL, that they would give such valuable documentations to someone else, when that party is not the intented name on the package. This would leave me to question, do they verify and check ID's when they are releasing passports.

I wonder what security procedures DHL has in place to prevent, the releasing of official govt documents.
Being that Jamaica has been listed as a high visa fruad country, I feel uncomfortable that they would release his documents to someone else.

Again, these are just my own thoughts.

I hope it all works out for you and your SO.

We have to send a notorized letter given someone permission.

So, this being said, you will have to send a notorized letter via FEDEX, to have it arrive before the second party arrive here in the USA on Saturday. I might have mis-read, is this second party arriving here this Saturday, so you will have time for a FEDEX delivery.

I want to stop my period while I am on holiday

Question

Can anything be prescribed by my GP to stop my period while I am on holiday for one week?Answer

Indeed you can. This is a commonly asked question and your GP will be aware of what to do.

There are two easy ways of doing this and the choice is partly a personal one, partly depends on the patient's state of health and partly on how long you have before your holiday.
• One method is to start taking the oral contraceptive pill, provided there are no reasons why you should not take it. You need to start at least one cycle before the one you want to miss. At the end of the first pack, instead of stopping and having a period, you just carry on and stop when you get back from holiday. You don't need to complete the second pack.
• Another method which can be used up to a week or ten days before the period that you want to postpone is due (but the earlier the better) is to take a progestogen such as Norethisterone. This needs to be taken three times a day continuously until after you return from holiday, and can then be stopped. A period usually follows about 48 hours later. This method can be used if for medical or other reasons the contraceptive pill is not suitable.
Go along and see your GP well before your leave, and enjoy your holiday
