I don't feel as guilty for not getting the comedy club tickets in advance anymore. We're going to see The Time Traveler's Wife. Hopefully it'll be not-boring. I want to see Julie & Julia, but my aunts didn't sound enthusiastic about that one.

Nat, I heard The Time Traveler's Wife was a much better choice.

Honey, let me tell you, if I lived in Florida, I would be in Jamaica every 10 days, until Joel gets here. So go girl, I know D will be happy. These short trips are good too, I wouldn't have traded this weekend for nothing.

Hey Mrs. Palmer, how is the lovely Plamer couple doing? I just got back yesterday, today I am either tired or depress, I have been sleeping on and off all day long. I would say both right now, this going and leaving bit is hard.

Rox...we are doing fine. Just trying not to drive each other insane with this waiting. Our case was transferred to CSC around the middle of Jan, and all those whose cases were transferred then have already been approved so it's like "AAHHHH"..but oh well. It will happen when it's supposed to. Prayer and patience is what this takes. I bet you are feeling down today. And I bet he is missing his wife too! Sometimes I forget that it can be alot harder on them (at least for Gregory) at times then I realize. I just tend to think of him as my strong man, my rock...when there are times when he can't hold it together either... crying.gif I know it must've been great being there with him for so long. What kind of things did you all do? Have you heard any word in regards to your case? Hope things move along for you heart.gif

You know I didn't realized until this trip how nervous Joel is about seeing me each time. Now I know why he always wants friends around us for a while. On this trip we sstayed in Kingston for 2 nights, then we went to Negril for 1 night. Our cases is still at VSC waiting to be approved, so we are waiting patiently like you and Gregory. We hung out with friends on a Friday night, then on the last 2 nights we just stayed to ourselves. We didn't hang with family, so they were a little disappointed, but this was a trip for Joel and I.

Mexico, Latin & South Americapoverty levels
QUOTE (dancehallquana @ Apr 9 2009, 02:11 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
hello!!

i was researching a little about the poverty levels in preparation for filing soon.
i have both a 9-5 job and a small business on the side.. altho my 9-5 is WELL over the poverty limits, my business took a MAJOR loss which puts me just below the 125% poverty level..

questions..
I am reading that most of the time the I134 (fiance visa) looks at 100% and the I864 (spouse visa) looks at 125%..Does anyone know if the Jamaican embassy follows these same rules?

Do u "think" (i realize, no one will know for sure) chances are still good if the other 2 years 06 and 07 are not below the poverty level or if they see ur main source of income is still above the levels ?

Quana, why don't your SO come over on his visitor visa and you'll get married, then AOS from there. Then you won't have to worry about the poverty level. He can get his EAD card while waiting and he would be able to work before you'll have your interview.

You wear what you would wear to a church service. Note woamn do not wear slacks to church in Jamaica.

The same thing that happens at funerals in the USA.

They have a 9 nite, it's' where they celebrate the night before the funeral service all night long.

Roxie, who told you that. While it may be frowned on, I've seen many women wear slacks to church back home.

Bunz, don't get me started on funeral wear...some people just don't ave no damn sense

Mrs. Palmer, I just thought of this, you are going to have a nightmare on your hand, after you move, because all of his paper work will be in your old address. You will have to make sure that when it comes time for his GC to be mailed that all of their systems are updated with your new address. As most of us realiaze the govt computer systems do not talk to each other. Please make sure you keep this in the back of your mind as something you must follow thru with.

Note..Govt mail is not forward...
