Airlines and Customs are trying to work with the new laws for children custody and child aductions. If your child was really aducted by one of their parents you would have wished that they had asked for a note. So, I know when you are in these situations that you don't want to ask the other parents, but if child aduction should happen to you. We would be the first to scream why didn't you ask if he/she had permission.

BTW, if you sign a passport in the absent fathers name, he can file child aduction charges against you if he wants to be a shyth head.

FYI....JUST BE CAREFUL

Nat, I had posted this awhile back, have you tried this?

Yes, I did call them directly, I will give you the number it's 1-800-375-5283. You will need your case number, when the status of your case is being given press 134 and it will take you directly to a service Rep in Vernmont.

Your case is not outside of the six months yet, the processing time is six months from March 2009, it won't change to April until the 15th of the month. But you can try calling VT, call them firt thing in the morning, and be very professional. They will try to assist you, I told them I had a work assignment that I nned to make a decision on, and I nneded to gauge how far into the process we were.

How you holding up Rox...you are almost there. I cringe everytime I look at your timeline. Hang in there.

Dillon, thanks for asking, I sent the last documents to NVC today. DHL was holding us up, a 2 page doc was held up in customs for 2.5 days. DHL delivered it this afternoon, it as a sixty year old driver, he could hardly walk up the driveways to my front door. I have sent eaver thing to NVC, now we wait for their completion, and an interview date . I am trying to play Kingston against NVC for a date. We have a K3 that is at Kingston, I am waiting for them to give me a date for that, and I will use that date for the CR1. I am crossing my fingers and toes that all of the stars line up.

J, is she trying to straighten out her overstay, or do she want to work out a way to get her baby a passport.

She should have no problem in getting a passport for her child from the country that she is from, but the problem will be in obtaining a US passport.

JaEnglish, first it needs to be defined is the mother here illegally, or is she just out of status(Over-stayed). If she is here illegally, crosssed the border without permission, then her fight is tougher. If she can to the USA legally, but overstayed, then there might be some help.

OMG I am freaking out! My husband is trying to come home on advanced parole and they wont even let him through Sangster! They say that his advanced parole document is messed up because it is not his name above his picture! I have a copy of the document and it is NOT SUPPOSED to be his name! It is the name of the authorizing agent! I yelled at the guy and told him just let him through and they will sort it out in immigration in Miami, but he is telling me Neil has to go to the embassy to get a new document! The embassy doesn't even issue these! Its USCIS that issues them!

This better get sorted out. I told Neil to refuse to leave

Yikes! That sounds like a nightmare. Quick prayer that God opens the heart of the agent working with your husband.

Thank God! They let him through! I almost lost it! I am home here with a five month old baby and I need my husband. My baby boy is waking up every two hours to eat still, and when my husband was here he would take the baby in the morning so I could sleep. I am so sleep deprived!

JaEnglish, those pictures are beautiful.

Acrow, I am glad to hear that everything has worked itself out this morning. But babay girl I felt your panic right thru your post. You are indeed stressed, do you do any yoga. You should try some yoga movements, it will help you to feel a little less stress and you will sleep better when you are asleep. Being a new mother is a stressfull time, you don't want to get burned out some soon in this venture. Note:, some babies don't sleep all night until they are 12 months. So try something that will help you to de-stress.

Good Luck and Congradulations on being a new mother.

Atsle, as a married couple you only need your marrage certificate and letters from two people to attest to the fact that you are in deed a couple.

All of the other stuff you can bring to the interview, or your husband can show at the interview.

Please only send what they have requested with the I-130. The I-130 does not request any pictures except the passport ones. Do not ssend the emails or phone chats. Please read the guidelines and follow them to the letter. Do not send things that are not requested.

Do not try to re-invent the wheel. The guides have been written for a purpose.

I miss having him here, we just had our family reunion this weekend, and the big question was were was he and when will he be here. Then the other part is you'll have been married for a while now why isn't he here. I knew I shouldn't have gone, but since my mother is deceased, that part of the family don't get to see us much. I felt obligated to go.

Well, it over now, so I will be ther in JA on Sunday, for Sunday dinner can't wait.

I don't know how they could tell if she is not living her other than the Immigration Officer noting the times she has come and gone.

The child has to AOS at a 2 yrs interval, and at a 10 year interval, if they don't obtain citizenship. If they try to obtain citizenship, this becomes a problem, because they must me living in the US for a certain period of time. As KK stated a GC can be re-voked.

Good luck to those who have up-coming interviews, anniversaries, and marriages.

VJ have been a great source of information, so I thank those who have contributed to giving me guidance and support.

thanks Rox!

How's Joel liking the US so far? Did you post your interview experience? I can't wait to be over this journey....driving me wacko.gif

Joel is adjusting quite well, I don't cook JA food, so he has accepted eating what I cook. Marie, our interview experience was very easy, they asked about 3 questions and then she said we were approved.

Note: the CR1 visa is the best, his stamp in the visa is equal to actually having the green card. Joel already had his SS# from when he wasworking here, so we don't have to wait on that. His stamp allows him to travel out of the country, so we will be going to the Bahamas the first week of Sept for our short Honeymoon. My GF is giving us the Hotel has a late wedding gift.

He just applied and got his own cell phone with Sprint in his own name. His driver license allows him to drive her in MD for six months before he has to change it. When we get back in Sept, he will start some serious job hunting.

The only thing that went wrong, was the mysterious BIG BROWN ENVELOPE was put into his luggage that was under the plane, so Custom had to walk him to get his luggage before they could check him in. That made him miss his connecting flight, but they put him on the very next flight out.

Hang in there it will be over soon.

DaDa - I was reading this article how only 5% of churches are racially integrated.

http://www.cnn.com/2...days/index.html

Yardies - What do you think? Is this wrong? Right? Okay?

kk.. i LOVE LOVE my new church.. it is half black, half white, and a few hispanics.. I have NEVER been a member of a church w/ such diversity and i am soooo proud.. i feel like this is the way it should be.
i can't wait to join next mnth..

In my opinion, I don't see it has people going because it's a white or black or hispanic church...rather the type of religon (bapitist, etc) it's more of a cultural thing.

Catholics? Are there many black catholic churches? That I do not know.

but there are white baptist and black baptist churches, white pentecostal/ black pentecostal, .. are there denominations that are more likely to be a certain race u think??

I put my reply in the wrong spot....
Catholics? Are there many black catholic churches? That I do not know.

Irie, here in prince George's County in Maryland there are plenty of Black catholic churches. I am Catholic.

Also, here in PG, County, in maryland, we are a marjority of AA. We were spotlighted in Ebony, as the highest income county for AA in the USA.
