i like the term thick, or *tick* as my man says

hope all is good with everyone
i hope ells and her man are *celebrating* right now!

stay blessed

Because in the ebonic slang, when it is said correctly, you know they are saying PHAT, not fat. I'm sorry if you'll don't understand the ebonic slang, for a pretty fine pleasing to the eye thick WOMAN. Now, if a man wants to call a child fluffy, I think I can see that, or maybe that's the term that's being used for the 20's group. But I can guaranteed if you are in your 30 or older, I think having someone refer to you as fluffy can be a little insulting.

I'd rather be called Fluffy than plump or fat.

Maybe it depends on what age group you are in, because fluffy reminds me of a dog or cat. I didn't say fat, PHATZ is not FAT.

So, now I will scan it and send it to his e-mail for him to download and sign. Then he will have to send it to me. It looks as if he will have to go to the UPS or FEDEX route. Atleast we will be paying for only one high delivery fee.

i had to pay 2400 to dhl to send off my first set of docs to hubby
i'm in ja, he's in new york
and would u beleive the wretches took two FULL days to deliver it

Okay, I will tell him to use FEDEX. I am screaming, $50US to delivery one piece of paper.

I NEVER PAY THIS MUCH TO SEND ANYTHING? I USES USPS EXPRESS MAIL AND THE MOST I EVER PAID WAS 25 BUCKS?

Is that from JA to the USA ? Is that next day delivery?

thats next day from USA to JA but cant you purchase the same thing from JA to USA over the internet and just go to usps?

I don't think so, it cost more just to do business in JA, so I guess that's why their cost is more.

Bunzarelli, I will give you some of my lessons learned in doing the CR1.

1. Please start preparing all of the forms that will need your husbands signature on them and send them to him to be sign shortly. Since the mail service between JA and US is snail mail slow. That way you won't be paying the high fedex FEES.

2. If you have access to a computer, then scan them ad send them to him, so he can print and sign-off on them, do not date them.

Honey and DA Da love life have gone to the dogs. Jawi, and Justicia have interview dates.

Hello there all, I am almost in the same situation, me &my hubby's I129 & I130 approved in Feb, he wants to persue the I129.. we were told it would be mailed in one week to the embassy in Jamaica.. that was the week of Feb 18.. but we still haven't heard anything from the emabassy.. the NVC keeps telling us that it mailed on 2/13.. and they don't know the status of it after it left the NVC.. does anyone know usually how long it can take to hear anything from the embassy.

Now tell me why would someone wait until today to ask why they haven't heard anything from the embassy when their application was sent over in February.

Do you think the postal people throw it in a GO TO HELL box? We could have had our interview date in June, the embassy emailed me back and said that they had sent out our package on May 8th. Well it looks like we might have a Juy date now.

our mail has its "challenges" although i must say they have improved
but you're not the first person i've heard complain about that stuff
does your husband live in a remote area? maybe it has something to do with that
or maybe the embassy thought they sent it out when they really didn't

A few ways - you have to stay busy and try not to focus on just this. Live your everyday life like it is - not like it will be when you get here.

Sometimes I would have to back off from VJ just because it made me focus more on the process, which at times was spinning out of control for me.

I also tried not to think about the big timeline...just think about today, then when tomorrow came, think about that day.

Islandwoman, I am already planning for my husband first trip back home. Joel isn't even here yet, but I don't want him to feel so lost from his family right away. We will be going back home around Christmas, then it maight be 6 to 12 months later for the next trip back.

That great Rox! Because we have no idea of the timeline for AOS and AP we can't plan anything - let alone have the money to do it after paying the chunk of change for AOS.

Islandwoman, that's why I changed ours to the CR1, I don't want anything to do with immigration visa for a long time after Joel is here. I just want us to start living a life as a couple and family.

Bunza, I have been dealing with this process since 02/2008, the waiting is hard, and I have always said it is even harder when you are married.

The things that have helped me, have been the planning of every 3 months to come to JA to see my husband, the folks here on VJ, we used to have great Friday nights VJ parties. Some how things have changed along the way, we used to have great conversations on VJ, but people now don't want to talk about relationships.

You still needs to keep busy at home, that helps alot too.

Islandwoman, I do Expressmail all the time and it works perfectly for me.

Thanks Rox. How long does it usually take? The website says 6 days but then another spot says 3-5 days.

Kimmy, my weekend was good, went to a B-day dinner at a resturant called Co Co Sala, it cost me 81.00, since I really liked the B-day person, all was good.

Now, I am just trying to get oor interview date set for July, so Brycie and I can go down for 2 weeks. I just want this process to be over.

Has anyone sent something by ExpressMail with the post office?? If so, was it successful? I need to send down Jr's interview docs for the 3rd and didn't want to have to pay Fedex another $100 freakin dollars to get in there in time.

Rox - I remember you did something at x-mas time that worked good and you could track it, what was it?

Thanks.

Islandwoman, I do Expressmail all the time and it works perfectly for me.

Morning ya'll! Congrats on all the recent approvals and inteview dates. All I can say is look at GOD! He is mighty and awesome!!!

Does anyone out there no the laws on whose income is considered for child support recovery?

The "adulterer" aka "adulteress, fornicatress, hussy, loose woman, strumpet, trollop, #######, jade" is back at it. She has contacted me saying she is indeed pregnant and wants money. She is saying she will keep her baby and embarass me with photos of ultrasound on this site. She is also treating to go after my current and future monies (my pending lawsuit).

I've informed her that under no uncertain terms will she get a dime from me. We will be divorced by the time she has the baby. I think she is wacko.gif wacko.gif in the head. I told her I didn't take any issue with her in the beginning but now you want to threaten ME!!!! Bring it!!

Ah, Wakey, I am sorry you are going thru this, but their is NOTHING that she can gain from you and I mean NOTHING. Actually, you can sue her for damages to your marriage, also you can print her picture in your local paper as an adultress. If you want more information, please feel free to contact me. You should file a police order against her for harassment, there is absolute no reason for her to be contacting you.

If I was your so to be ex-hubsand, I would leave the area soon, if he doesn't want to be tangled up in this messhe has created. This young lady seems to be trouble. As far as she stating that she will print photo's of some untrasound to embrass you, that is a bunch of bull shyth. No one and let me repeart this no one on this site or the whole wide internet care whom or what she is pregnanr by and no of her would even give it a second thought.

Wakey, don't let this trouble you anymore, what ever she does going forth will be her problems.

Ladies, it's just a slow down, not a STOP order. Remember, From May until Aug, employees generally take vacations too. So, the spring and summer are generally slow due to vacation visa, work visas and employees vacation time off. But, they still have time frames that must be met.

Hey ladies this is derron mrsbuggy's hubby and i just wanna have alittle input on how yall ladies think.

First, let me clear myself, i only have 2 female friends calling and my son's mother calling and even so she have spoken with 1 of them (not all d time) and i never remove myself from her presence during a call unless i must.

Now for d big topic alllll of u ladies need 2 b careful of how u apply the experiences of other relationships to urs. Ex: whenever my wife n i talk on d phone she use to always bug me of the things that she read on here, everyday she would have something to tell me and then she would compare me to it n sometimes it would develope an argument between us and i used to tell her she needs to get off that site cauz it's gonna cost us our relationship, luckly it didn't.

*Did she tell u guys that i'm an electrician by trade so it's always wise to save power.* Off-Topic2.gif

As for my adjustment i kno it is a phase i have to go through but it is boring as hell n 2 make it worst i do not have any friends or family nearby, my best part of the days are when she's home and i have someone to talk to and play with. ther is no perfect relationship, she has OCS n that's something i'm willing to deal with but we r working on it headbonk.gif Lol.

be careful ladies and best wishes from Mr. buggy

Good mornng Mr. Buggy.

Do you know if the state that you are now livivng in require a license to be an electrician? Have you checked out the International Electrican Union there in your state yet? If you have to take the exam for that state now would be a good time to get the material and study for it. Also, I would venture down to the Elec. Union Hall and introduce myself, so when I start applying for jobs, I would have some contacts already in place.

Also, I would get a map and study the area, because when and if they assign me on a job the very first day, I would be ready to venture to that location without hesitation. You sound like a very wise man, so I know you may have already thought about some of this stuff.

BY the way.... chicken in every country taste like chicke, so I would aleat allow my wife to have one day that we can enjoy some of her down home country cooking. innocent.gif

Good luck to you and your wife.

Good morniong Trelwany and 1luv...

I will refrain from responding to any of the comments about on-line networking. If that's your thing then do it.
Do I compare my husband to others no... do I talk to him about what others say about Jamaican men... HELL no.... Do I respect and trust my husband HELL YES.....

AS for him being bored when he gets here, we will wait and see. Would I be bored if I moved to a new country and didn't know anyone...yes.... so I will look at his situation the same way.

As far as the food I normally only eat Yard food so that wasn't a big change and we even have Haitian vs. Jamaica cook offs LOL so far we are even! yes.gif He has fallen in love with the Philly Cheese steak though and likes all types of food and he is not picky. Although he hates grits rofl.gif I love Indian food and he has never had it, so we plan to hit the restaurant ( when I am off my diet) LOL. He actually requested me to make Spaghetti last night which he calls macaroni so I did, and he called me earlier and was eating the left overs and wants to know when I can make that again ( which will be never since I am on this diet) ha ha.

LoL, A keeps calling it this. I made this Clam Linguine for him once and he loved it but he keeps asking when I'm going to make that macaroni again. I keep forgetting this is what he calls it and so I’m like what are you talking about, I never baked macaroni and cheese for you, but dont' worry it’s on the list. laughing.gif

JaEnglish, I wouldn't let him loose onto message boards just yet, that is how many of them meet more female friends. If he has a constant string of them calling him from Jamaica, what will stop him getting more in the USA.

Mrs. Buggy, go down or up to the SS building and get a copy of his SS number. They may not have mailed it out, but I'm sure they have it on file. He can use that until the actual card arrives. Good luck...
