Can someone tell me where the Letter of Employment should be addressed? I found an example that says American General Consulate. Is that correct? If so, does anyone know the address?

I'm just preparing...

The Letter of Employment is from YOUR (petitioners) employer. It has to be on company letterhead, and must include your name, position hired for, start date, and amount of $ you make...

JaP--yuh no tell mi yuh breed...or a joke u a mek? unsure.gif

Hey Mrs P,

QUOTE
I understand that piece but I was wondering who is my employer addressing the letter to..like USCIS, an Embassy or some other ofc?

It does not have to be adress to anyone, it just needs to have the required information about your employment.

Islandwoman, I was not telling her that she would not have any glickes, but this process is hard enough without the petitioner not knowing every detail of the process, as to what to expect and what to do when things are going wrong.

One wrong statement or incorrrect information can de-rail someone's interview. So yes, I am saying to everyone YOU should read and know all you can about this process. There is so much that has been documented here on VJ, that if people would spend time re-searching they wouldn't be stressing themselves out so much. But hey who am I to tell someone not to stress.

MSTEE, I didn't want to chime in on your drama, but packet and package in jamaica is the same thing. The package has more than one sheet on paper in it. Personally, I think you are making this process alot harder than it is. Since I just finish this entire process without a glick, you need to read all of tghe guides and follow them as they have been documented. This process is not hard at all. You should be filling out the documents yourself, because if something is inputed wrong or incorrect it is you and your So who will suffer the consequences.

Roxcie I'm so happy for you
I remember your petition took a long time to approve, but the worst is now over
I guess we won't be seeing you on in a while but i would like to hear your point of entry review so when u come up for air, post it
which POE will he be coming through btw?

Bunz, his POE will be Fort Launderdale, we will be flying on Spirit Airline. They are the cheapest for one-way. He will then proceed to fly here to Washington, DC.

On the H2b visia, I was aware of the opening up of them before I left Jamaica. It will slow down only the embassy processing time a little.

This is for Nat, we have recvd our visa in 3 days, our interview was on Wed, 8/5, the visa is ready for pick-up today.

Thursday of last week was a holiday, so the embassy was closed, so today would make the 3rd working day.

From reading stories in the AOS thread, I recommend asking for a copy of the medical at POE (if you don't already have it). Apparently the gov has lost a lot of peoples' medical results somewhere between the embassy, POE, and wherever the paperwork goes after that. If you get a copy at POE, it can save a lot of hassle when you need to submit the I-693 with AOS.

CR1 won't need copies of medical... we get GC's.

Bun, he applied at the Kingston police station, and he just told them he needed it for a visa. All he needed to show them was his passport for ID. No letter at that time.

Thanks Rox! good.gif I'm hoping so. Why did they separate you two during the interview? I didn't think they really did this during the CR1 blink.gif

I really don't know, they ask where did we meet, it was stated on every document that we met in the USA. They did ask if we have lived together, and we did when he was here in the USA. Other than that they didn't ask any other questions... they did ask for the phone log, which was 5 inches thick, she just laughed.

Bunz, our interview was very smooth. I did noticed that a lot of people came un-prepare. i.e no medical, Birth cert has different information than the submitted form. The questions were very minimun, have we ever lived together, the answer was yes, since we did meet in the USA. Did we have phone records, we had a catalog of record, too thick to put under the window. Had to break it up into three sections. They did not request pictures. We were interviwed seperately. The Co was very nice, polite and professionally. We were there for a total of 2 hours.

All I would suggest is that you just be your self.

As the person who made the statement, over the last couple of years EVERY AIRLINE have had some major issues. but we all know that these same airlines have been trying hard to correct and re-build their service.

But we continue to make negative statements that maynot be valid to validate their services as they are today.

I am going to stick up for Spirit, I have flown on Spirit for the last 5 years, and I have never had any problems with them. I use them to fly to Jamaica, and I have always been pleased with their services. Not like Air Jamaica, that never leaves on time or is always cancelling their flights.

I hate it when someone has one bad experience with sommething, and they make it seems as if the entire business is bad. I think we all can tell horror stories about every airline that is out there.

Most of these guys that runs these scams finds that there lives are no better here in the USa, than it was in Jamaica. They have lost their finanical pot.
