K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNo Immunization Record
I have tried to share with those who are going thru the Jamaican embassy, process and procedures that will work in their favor, if the OP wants to take the advise of those from other countries so be it. But, I will say this only one time the Jamaican embassy have their own acceptance process. The medical doctors for the embassy will only accept certain documentations, so if you wish to follow a process that they are not accepting, then that is the OP's money.

Most individuals in Jamaican did attend school, every year before going back to school, Jamaican school children are required to have their immunizations updated, if they were not completed and updated, then the school would not have accepted them back for the school year. That is why I have suggested to you to check with his school, they may have something on file. It doesn't matter how long he has been out of school, Jamaican schools are not yet computerized.

Okay this sounds good, did you or your's do this blood test? How much did it cost for you, if done?

Please be aware that what is done in other countries may not be available in Jamaica. Therefore things related to the embassy are handle different from country to country.

Before he goes anywhere to get the immunizations, he should first check with his previous school, they may have a record of shot he received during his school years. Second, since you'll have not filed anything, putting the horse before the cart is not a good thing.

This might seem like a random story. However, I visited Jamaica about 4 years ago. and at that time I attended church on the Sunday. This was a 3 hour long service dedicated to women with children out of wedlock and the fathers who don't do enough to support their children. They seem to be pretty prejudice against those who are pregnant before marriage. Even though, from what I gather, many people do not have enough money to have a legal wedding. Sounds like discrimination to me.

WTH??????????
What does this have to do with her denial.

Okay, now things are making sense, they are sending it back for possible visa fraud.

Lots of denial coming out of Kingston lately...Must be a new CO in town, the comment ":but my fiance was denied because they said tbat I filed bankruptcy and they cannot see how I can afford to travel to see him as often as I have.." doesn't make sense.

Did they give him a 221 form, or a straight out denial?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresi wanna cancel the fiancee visa but its already at the embassy

It's EZ to wanna take the LAZY way out and not just go to interview, but not the best way.

OP needs to send a brief letter to USCIS/ NVC / EMBASSY explaining in simple terms why the relationship did not work out, and requesting withdrawal of the affidavit of support.

Notary service NOT required.

Good Luck!

:star:

\Please read her post, she has stated she is the Beneficiary, she cannot cancel the petition.

Or you can go to the interview and tell the embassy that you want to cancel and don't want to get the visa.

Good luck

How will she get in the embassy if she doesn't have the required documents?

The user is talking about the NOA1.

Do a role play, and you be USCIS, if someone calls you about a petition that USCIS haven't acknowledged receiving, what will be their answer?

No record, no NOA1, what else could the petitioner do but wait or resubmit. This isn't rocket science.

Well, I just spoke to my MIL and she stated that in-order for her and my BIL to be able to attain their passpost this year, they had to get the new style BC. How did he even get his JA passport with the old BC. They have been requiring the new BC since 2007.

The US embassy isn't making anything hard, it's those who were falsifying the JA BC that have made it hard.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresDenied ?

I just got off the phone with DOS and they stated that the case was not denied but was refused. They asked me if my fiancé was told to bring them more information. I informed them that they didn't give him any information and all they said was that they would send the petition back to the U.S.

I spoke to 3 different people (I kept loosing signal). All three were confused about that as well. One lady said that if I called back in three days they will have more information about the case. Another lady said that they are probably just reviewing the case because it doesn’t say that they are sending it back.

Should I email the embassy and ask them what should be my next step?

Please ask him what was written on the slip of paper that was given to him. If they are requesting additional information it would have been written on a paper. Now did he leave the window without picking up the paper that would be another concern.

Yes, email them and ask what additional information they are requesting. Use the Kingston email.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresDenied ?

My Fiancé had his Interview today... He was asked all the basic questions and they told him that they cannot approve him at this time because you do not have enough evidence.

Ok so the evidence I had provided was about 35 photos in an album all dated with a caption, 10 letters each, 4 chat logs, detailed Wedding Plans, My passport with the stamps of all the times I went to Jamaica, Valentine’s day cards, Birthday cards, Anniversary cards etc.

I had no phone logs because I am on my parent’s phone bill and I figured that would not be counted anyway.

They told him that the case would be sent back to USA and when it gets here they will contact me and I will then contact him. They gave him no pink, blue, green, purple or any color slip, they only gave him back his passport and kept everything else.

I guess I would like to know what do I do from here just wait to be contacted or try to get more answers from the embassy?
:(

(L) God is on my side!!!

The embassy would have blue slip you for the phone logs, they are not sending/denial back for just that. Please have a detail talk with your finance regarding what was told and asked of him.

This is not the normal process for the Jamaican embassy to deny for phone logs. They would have given him a chance to produce them.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresChildren to Follow Fiance on K1 Visa (Jamaica)

Hello,

So in Packet 3 all I am reading is that the children (age 3 and 7 in our case) need birth cert, passport and medical if they will be[b] accompanying the fiance. What if they children will be following my fiance with in one year? Do they still need to present their birth certs, Passports and have a medical exam at my fiances interview? Do they need to come tp the interview. Or just at the time when and if they actually follow within the year.

Also, is the other parent (mother) of the children required to give a letter of permission for the kids to be able to accompany and or follow their father to the USA? Will a 3 and a 7 year old need their own passports or can they travel on their fathers? And if their dad is not on the birth cert will this pose any problems with them getting the K2 visa and/or their dad getting them their passports if they need it? The son is a Jr. but the father is not listed nor is no father listed on both children. They both have his last name though. Him and the mother were never married. Will the mother of the children need to give permission or both be present when applying for the kids passports? You can tell the mother is not wanting (or knowing at this point) the kids to go the US with us. However they see their dad now on weekends, vacations, and holidays so if they want to see their father in the future they will need to travel to the US. And this is such a great opportunity for them in so many ways. Anyone have any experience with these issues. Thanks so much!

Erica

The children WILL need the mother permission, even id she is MIA.

ALL children and adults regardless of age will need passports and medical to migrate to the US.

If the children are follow to join, they do not need to be present at the interview with him.

IF the fathers's name was not on the BC at birth, but added later, the children will be required to obtain DNA testing.

The father should have the children's Bc before he leaves JA.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHad my son in America will i be denied a K1 visa

"I really need to know from someone"

in 2006 my son was Born in New York i am from Trinidad and Tobago i came to the USA and had him there honestly i didn't want to but my mom insisted since he was her first grand child i did what she
asked i never over stayed my tourist visa i spent a total of 5 months in America, I live in my home country met my Fiance in 2009 we truly love each other but am very worried that when he starts
the K1 process on my behalf i won't be approved because i came to America and had my son i never meant to break any laws if i did neither did i plan or wanted to live in America at the time,

But now that i have met the love of my life things have changed so am asking now am i going to be Denied a K1 visa because of what i did long before i met him at present we are expecting our first
child together :) He says i shouldn't worry but i think of it at times

Who paid for the medical expense for the birth of your child. If you or your parents did then no worry, if the US gov paid or the bill remaims un-paid, then there is something to worry about.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWill an overstay affect my visa chances?
I am not really understanding your concern or problem, due to the weather some flights will be cancelled, the airlines will re-book you on another flight out within 72 hours. This 72 hours should have no ill effect on your pending visa, nor should it affect your VWP, since it can be explained.

If you are trying to over-stay longer than the 72 hours, then you will be your own judge and jury with immigration on this one.
LIFE'SJOURNEYFemaleJamaica2011-08-26 15:21:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWill an overstay affect my visa chances?
One or two days over will not matter, but if you take a month to re-book, then you will probably have a problem with your VWP. You should know by now if your flight for tomorrow is cancelled, since airlines have started cancelling flights since yesterday.

BTW, I am sure being convicted of MURDER will get you a life time ban.
