My2rmylife, are you flying AJ out of BWI, or ?. Which airport are you flying into Kingston or Mo-Bay?

air jamaica BWI and kingston

Okay, so you are traveling to BWI, which is about 3 hours away from where you live, Taking American Airline out of Dulles would have been better, you would have had a lay-over in Maimi. Kingston airport is small, are you staying at a hotel in Kingston?

If so have a print out of your travel plans to show to Kingston customs. Be prepare to go thru customs in Kingston, use the visitor line. If you have gifts, do not declare them, you will have to pay a custom tax on them.

What part of Kingston will you be staying?

NatPat, there are some posted information that needs to be added to the Jamican Survival Guide list. The references to the phones numbers needs to be added and any other information that someone has posted since the last collective posting was done. Thanks for trying.

HEY Yardie VJ's, can I request that we don't have running conversations posted under the Jamaican Survival Guide post, the purpose of this thread was to to post all important information in one central place, so we don't have to go rummage thru 14 threads to look for this type of information. Also, it makes the thread long and it losses some of it valuable contents.

On the glasses, it's only for children. I talked to Vermont yesterday and they said it is in the hands of a case rep. that's fine but, I am putting myself on-hold from signing up for conferences and new projects for the next 3 months, becasue I don't want to have any issues when it comes time for me to go to Jamaica for the interview.

I need to plan Brycies vacation too and I don't know what to do, because I needs some dates and time-frame to work with.

Just venting... it's raininy and cold tonight.. devil.gif devil.gif

Thanks kimmy, but my life has been on hold for too long.... It's things like this that gets me down, tomorrow I am going to a big award dinner where I will be receiving an award for a major milestone, But guess what I have to go alone, I can't even ask a old BF to escort me. So this is a bummer on my list tonight, I can't even get excited about what to wear. I know they will want me to give some type of speech, but I am so down, I am not even going to prepare anything.

Joel is fussing with me about this and I don't even care.

Congratulations Justucia......... again I don't understand how this visa process is working, how are people who filed in 2009 getting approvals over those of us who filed in the late summer and fall of 2008.

Whatever GOD has in-stored for me must me awesome... Because we are on his time.

Actualy, I told her that I work on projects and I didn't want to take a project assignment that might interfer with my going back to my husband country for the interview. If she could give me an idea were in the process our application was. So, she looked it up and said it was now with a Service REp, but she couldn't tell me how long before it would be approved. I did ask if it was safe to say that I shouldn't sign up for a short term project of 3 mos or less, and she agreed on that.

Sooo....couple days ago, my MIL took the baby to Denver for 4 days.
Since he came back, he hasn't left my side. Guess that REALLY pissed her off as she's been crabby and argumentative ever since. So today she mentioned something about his 'attachment kick'. So I said, "you do know why he's being all clingy to me right?' She got really angry saying it was 'just a phase' and I was a know it all!!
I just laughed and ignored her, but I honestly think she was expecting that because she had him all to herself for that length of time, he would come back MORE attached to HER!!
She just can't comprehend, or refuses to accept he's clingy because he was away from his MOTHER for four days!!

JaEnglish, I am so sorry to hear you are going thru this, no mother nor child should have to choose between a grandparents love and a mother love. A child has enough love and needs in them that both of you can support. I hope you can work this out soon, because no child should be made to feel like thry have to choose between people that truly love them.

Sorry you aren't feeling well, Roxcie - I can relate - I feel like I just start to feel better and I get sick again - I am so fed up. You should try some of the traditional medicinal teas = they have a cough control one and a breathe easy one = they really really help.
