The Jamaican embassy books appts the second week of every month following the month the case was completed at NVC. Don't know where you got the other infro. But this is a busy time at the embassy, b/c they are doing H2B visa.

Everything has to be submitted via the internet, since you did not indicate what part of Jamaica your morther or mother in law resides, I found it hard to say, go down to the so and so at Kingston Ave and they will assist you. I find that those who resides in Jamaica, has a better sense of who or where these types of services are avaliable in their community. That's why I could not direct you to a place or service, since it is all submitted via internet, b/w you can submit the application yourself if you want to and email bar code letter to them.

The website does tell you where the payment has to be made at.


I hope someone else can tell you something better.


I would just complete the application myself and email the bar code letter to her. I am aware that there are internet cafe all over Jamaica. ahve someone to scan the picture to be attached to the application and have it emailed to you.

WOW okay I did that along time ago. Of course I followed the instructions. I was just wondering if anyone knew who can fill out the form in Jamaica. They use to have a service do it such as Paymaster and Paymaster's contract just ran out.

If you notice my husband immigrated here a long while ago. I am pretty sure I didn't get this far by posting unresearched information.

I don't have much to say today....just feeling a bit down about this whole process at the moment. I'm not even sure my SO accomplished what he needed to when he went to the embassy and not hearing back from them is getting to me. I've already covered all the bases as far as what everyone has suggested so it's just hoping and waiting now but we seem to be delayed for some reason. I can't bug them every day so I just have to try my best to be patient. I've tried asking my mister about details when he went there and from what he tells me, I'm not sure things happened as they were supposed to. Oh well, I'm just throwing my hands up for right now. sad.gif




Ellis, those things you have no control over, you just have to let go. This is where you have to start having your trust in your SO. If he says he did it, then let it go, if he did it wrong, then it will just take a little longet for him to get to the end of this process, and remember everything has an ending, just that sometime it's not the ending we would have choosen. At least these kinds of mistakes and mishaps can be corrected, that's the bright note.

Oh, wait until you are 5 months and they are laying on your bladder. jaenglish goes there a lot. She has friends that work at the Upper Marlboro location. It's right next to where my sister lives.



Sunny, Joel, enjoyed his meal greatly. Auntie, went in the back and cooked his brownstew red snapper especially for him. They told me that the JA cook that was at the Waldorf location, is now over at the Upper Marlboro location. The food there has always been good.

This is for the CR1's , Joel received his green card yesterday, it only took 3 weeks from entry into the US. He already had a SS card, so getting his state ID and opening a bank account was easy. Note:. everyone stated that a valid SS card was needed inorder to complete these processes ( state ID card and Bank account).

We did travel out of the country with only his CR1 stamp in the passport, so the stamp received at the POE for a CR1 is valid for multiple entries.

Jakeswife: I’m glad that things are getting a little better. My hubby had a hard time adjusting too, so now you see why we love Jamaica so much. It’s an awesome place to live and vacation. He even cried and I couldn’t do anything by hold him and tell him that things will be ok. He’s much better now though. Next month will make one year since he came to the US.

jamaica is very small compare to the US and when we are home it's like we can feel the embrace not just from family but from friends.There's alot more to relate to back home and the feeling of belonging is greater than anything we will experience. No matter how bad things are we can still eat by picking a fruit here and there and drinking water from stand pipe.No matter how bored we get we can just stand at the corner and watch mad or sane people do funny things.No matter how broke we are once we reach out someone will give us a hand or a ride to where we want to go.No matter the war and violence the music and the rhythm let us forget if just for a moment. We are always warm and the chilly time doesn't last long enough to change our mood.It's like a cocoon that no matter how much we fight to get off it the memories take us back home.So we shed tears for just being on the soil and that's why we cry or stand and pause for a moment when we get out of the airport.The air is breathtaking and the feeling is strong enough to get a pleasant reaction.WE are home.




Jakewife we need to have this pinned, so when we forget what they are missing. we can always look back at this and see why a yardie is missing his home. Thanks for this.....

We are doing fine, I am typing on my BB right now. We just got back from the Bahamas, and we are in FLL waiting on our connecting flight.
Joel is having a time adjusting too, he is restless right now. Requires a lot of attention...

When I first join VJ, I was glad for the topics that were being discussed about the support your SO or husband would need once he has join you here in the US. I believe in returning what was offered to me. My husband has been here 2 weeks now, so I will share a lilttle what I have experienced.

1. As far as supporting your husband at his interview, I found that if you the wife is there, the interviews can be alot less stressful for the husband. This is a life changing event, and being there with him, shows your support to the person who will be interviewing you. But, again this is a personal choice.

2. Having unlimited time for your SO or husband once he has arrived here. I find that they do feel like they are fish out of the water, but the man in them will not allow them to tell you that. So, you must have alot of patient and you must spend alot of time with them.

3. Those of you who are in school and have kids may find this to be a balancing act.

4. Everyone may have some type of adjustment issues, but they may not be the same as your fellow VJ. Borden seems to be the biggest issue of all.
