Hello all. Havent really been on in a LONG time. Wondering if anyone knows this question.....If you file for your spouse and they receive the 10 year visa, is there any way to have that revoked???

Carib, unfortunately there is nothing you can do now, if your husband has a 10 GC, that means you'll have been married at least 2 or more years. It will be up to your husband to maintain his 10yr GC going forward. All you can do now is protect yourself from anymore finanical loss.

I am assumming you'll just completed the ROC from the 2year GC, so in doing that you'll gave impression to USCIS that the marriage was a valid marriage.

Good luck on going forward.

Great place to get good wine, if you are a wine drinker. Lots of Africa and Europe wines...normally not in your reqular Liquor store.

MrsTee, you have to think as if the test is really not a test, but a course on how you would teach it if you were asked to teach the math skill. You can do this.......

Philly open toes shoes 60 degrees, sandals 70 degrees, but here in Washington, we sees it all. So in saying that to some people it doesn't matter. Isn't Easter early this year, so we will be seeing spring clothes and colors early. But we will have to have one more cold spell before Spring actually arrives. That is how the weather pattern works, I use to date a meterologist, so everything I didn't want to know about weather patterns I now know.

I understand , I just got back from Jamaica a couple of weeks ago. My in-laws are great too, they have embraced me and my family as if we have been a part of their family for a long time. Plus I have in-laws that live a couple of miles away from us, so we are always surrounded by family.

You know I am great, waiting for the spring and summer. I am a sun person, so once the sun comes out, then I come out to play. Planning trips and events for the family and just Joel and I. I love this area in the summer time.

Good afternoon ladies,

IrieCat, you should talk to a lawyer about suing for damages to your car. The lawyer will atleast get the insurance company to talking. Right now, since there is no lawyer involved, they are just going to sit on it and wait you out.

Believe me they are in no hurry to settle. Your insurance company could pressure the other Ins company to settle if they wanted too. Insurance companies have this little unknown agreement between each others that if the claim is a small claim to settle it, because they will even the score on another claim.

Bunz,
My personal opinon is it would be worth it to have your resume done Professional, then you can have them to coach you on how to do a outstanding verbal interview. Most jobs are won over by the verbal interview, not by what's on their resume.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll add Iberostar & Grand Palladium to the list. I checked into Grand Palladium at Trip Advisor yesterday & only 68% of people recommend it. But I need to read the reviews of people who don't recommend, to see if their complaints would bother me.

I was dancing a few days in advance, but the actual trip to the airport was very sad for me. I think I'll dance again when I come home from work, get over the fact that he's not here, and take joy that no one is asking me to do anything.

Steven brought stuff, but I didn't even ask him what happened when he went through the lines. I'll need to ask today.

As far as women's clothes, Steven brought one dress. I told him to leave the tag on it so they can see how much it cost ($17), then remove it before giving it to his mom. Cause when my cousin went through, she had a bunch of clothes for little children that she got on clearance for $2 & $3 each. But they didn't accept those values & assigned higher values. She had to pay quite a bit for what she brought in.

When I went through, I paid attention to the fine print that mentions the $500 you say. I declared what I was bringing, but when they acted like they wanted to charge me, I pointed out that the form says you can bring up to $500 duty free. I didn't pay anything.

Nat, isn't that $500 dollars for JA citizens, they can bring back up to that amount in merchandise duty free. I don't think there is a dollar amount for guest. But, they tend not to charge guest unless it is a big ticket item. Now again this has been my oberservation at the Kingston Airport. Mobay may operate differently.

Will they check Mikel's bags when he comes into Jamaica? He is taking a big load down for family and I was just wondering if they check citizens bags like they do tourists.

Dillon, they screen citizen bags alot more than tourist. They are looking for the citizens to pay taxes on everything. But it could be his luckly day, he could get missed. He needs to be prepare if he is screened and taxed.

Bunz, that don't always work now, they might make him open up his bag right there. I saw it happen, it's better to declare something than nothing if your bag is huge for a 5 day trip.

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaDoes anyone know how to.....
Try having them served by a DXX. No just kidding, you can call the courts to see if they can give you references to a server. Also, they can be served by a friend, but your husband must sign for it. If he don't sign for them, then I don't know how the US courts will look at it.

Send the papers certified mail, by FEDeX, they will delivery them even if the person has no formal address. But the papers in a box, and let him think he is getting a package from the US, ask fedex for a sign delivery. That's my 02 cents.

The first statement was a joke.

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaJamaica Police Certificate from employer

Here's a question to you LIFESJOURNEY. What is your problem, every post you have made you start by talking down to the person. You did it to me in my initial post and you just did it again to ATSLEUMAS. This forum is designed for people with questions, who dont know what to do. Stop making smart comments when people ask a question.

I am not talking down to you, I am trying to get you'll to think , I have seen many Jan deneid because they wanted to take the short cut, if you have spent any amount of time in JA, you will know that there is LOTs of fradulent doc's being sold and given out. Why would you want to even take this kind of RISK? If you wanted to do this correctly, then PLEASE follow the procesws, if you follow the process you will have a postive out come, if you want to take short-cut, then let me direct you to posts inwhich short-cuts were taken. Jamamica is the only embassy that does drug testing, JA is the only embassy that I have seem where the PC was sent directly to the embassy. JA is the only embassy where someone told a medical doctor that a friend smoked Marj around them, and the D5r. indicated that the person was exposed to marj the the embassy deined the visa. If you want to be in this postion, than please follow thru on short-cuts.

I want you to think, and not to get set up for failure, because as they say in Ja, no problem man. So if you think these people didn't get told no problem man.

I think that would be ok - however I worry. My husband tells me that the certificate obtained for work purposes is different than the ones they give for traveling purposes. Do you have an idea what the certificate looks like that she gets from her employer?

Just a question, if they are different, then why would it be okay. BTW, your husband is correct, the PC obtained for work, is different than the one obtained for visa purpose.
