The current processing time at CSC is 2-15-09. You are almost there, champ! star_smile.gif

That's just a number pulled from someones butt. Its obvious they are processing march, april and beyond. It's total #######...haha

my k1 was processed in the same week as people with similar noa1 dates. i think petitions are thrown into a box by date. when an adjudicator grabs that box, you can get excited. of course, this isn't always the case; however, it was my experience.

That's what I was think too! It seems to go in chunks (like right now with mid-april). There must be some speedy dude in there getting ahead of the other guys!

"Easy" cases have no more likelihood of getting approved than any other case.

Our cases throughout this whole process were always simple, straight-forward and without any "issues", and they still took longer than most in some cases. And being from Canada (which is considered a low-risk country) didn't help either.

It's frustrating, but your day will come soon.

Best wishes.

Since USCIS states they don't use FIFO and that they do evaluate cases in the most "efficient" manner in an attempt to meet guidelines, What would you suggest would dictate that one file is approved ahead of others? Maybe how thick the packet was? Cover eyes and random pick?

It was stated by a former USCIS employee (posted Q&A in VJ) that they are expected to process a minimum number of files in a given time frame.... If one were expected to "produce" would one scan through a stack of files looking to meet the goal with "easy" files and then after the goal is met go back and deal with the rest.? Yes they can look at a file and see if it looks like an easy approval or not....

I dont know if I believe that though. I would assume my case would be classified as 'easy'. I see people that meet their finacee on shady dating sites and meet them in person twice and file the petition and get approved months before others. Its luck of the draw.

No point in filing for a K1 if you are planning on living elsewhere. Just file for a spousal visa if you choice to move to the US down the road.

Correct format? No one is required to submit chat logs, in fact I have none. I would take a cross section of chats over a few months, paste them into a word doc and call it a day. This is just one piece of evidence - no need to stress about it.

Here is some info regard the issue.
VSC Transfers to CSC : I-130s and I-539s
©MurthyDotCom
CSC confirmed that approximately 60,000 Immediate Relative (I-130) petitions were transferred from the VSC. Initial shipments took place at the end of 2008, with the final shipment of 20,000 petitions arriving at the end of January 2009. For the upcoming two months (February and March 2009), all new I-130 petitions will be directed from the USCIS lockbox to the CSC for adjudication. This initial two-month period may be extended.

Hey bro, this is a website and by no means represents all visa applicants. Not everyone going through this process is a member of this site. My observation, 100% coincidence.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresGreen card and Work Autorization
After you get the green card that will serve as your EAD, so no need to reapply/renew that.

As for the SSN, Im not sure what visa youre on, but I believe you can go to a social security office an apply now.

I would check the processing times on this site to get an idea of how long itll take.

QUOTE (canadian_wife @ Sep 12 2009, 09:45 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Illegal = entered without inspection. No documentation and no permermission to enter the country. Inelligible to adjust status.

Out of status = entered legally (tourist, work visa, etc) and has since overstayed the given time alloted. Able to adjust status through immediate relative.

Someone will correct me if I am wrong. But I think the OP is able to adjust status through marriage to a USC and legally entering the country.

Might be true, but isn't an overstay a big issue? I mean if your visa has expired you have no right to be in the US. Wouldn't an overstay result in some issues while in the AOS process? The person was allowed to cross the border on certain conditions (with their visa). Now their visa has been expired, thus making them illegal in my opinion.

QUOTE (Amerikeli_bob @ Sep 3 2009, 03:22 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I searched but couldn't find an answer to these questions about form G-325A

1) If there's no province/state, should I write "None"? This is an easy question, so I think I might be rubbish at searching...

2) My wife lived in a small village in the countryside, so small that there are no street addresses. Mail is delivered by addressing it to a person's name and father's name. Any ideas how I could write this in G-325A? This isn't her current mailing address.

I'd put N/A or Not Applicable for the Province/State Part. Do they have any form of Postal/ZIP code system there? If so, you could just write "City Name, ZIP" for the address. I dunno dude, your guess is as good as mine.

Good Luck!
