K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-129F - Question 12

Here's a question....how long do you stay before you need a visa?

Canadians are allowed to stay for 3 months I believe.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-129F - Question 12

My bad. I got a little ahead of myself. I would wait til you get home and click no just to save the confusion. BUT if you want to file while you're hear, the dates they need will be on the entry/return form you fill out when you clear US Customs. I was unaware that visas are required to visit between Canada and the US now. Things have changed since I moved from New York. :)

Canadians don't require visas to visit. We also don't have to fill out an arrival/departure record. The question is asking if they are living in the US on some other visa.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-129F - Question 12
I think they want to know if you're in the US on another visa, like a work visa or student visa. Since you are just visiting and you are currently living there you should click NO.

I hate to be blunt, but there is no damn way you're going to be in the US by October. November? MAYBE.

However, unless your I129F is approved in the next day or two, you have no choice but to pursue the CR1.

What a peach. Lay off the timbits, they seem to be making you a bit edgy.

OP, you never know what'll happen - you might get lucky! All the best!

Your police certificate should be ok. I think they're valid for 6 months, but I believe that's country specific. In Thailand I'm pretty sure it's 6 months. You might want to check on the Canadian regional forum.

From another thread, just a moment ago:

US Embassy and Consulate Discussionform ds230 part 1 mistake
QUOTE (belarus1 @ Sep 3 2009, 10:42 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has done this.
When we faxed DS230 part 1 to the Warsaw embassy on question 20. which asks places you have lived for at least 6 months since the age of 16 Sveta forgot to put where she lived when attending school.
On question 22 she thought they needed only 5 years employement history like was needed on the I129f instead of the last 10 years.
Will it be possible to update this information by calling the embassy?
We got our interview date for Sept 28.

Wow. I just realized I did the same thing (for the employment part). I'm missing my high school fast food job haha! Hope it's not a problem for us. C'mon someone answer!

Were you nervous at the medical? That may have attributed to the HBP - but a trip to your GP may not be a bad idea

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionHigh Blood Pressure - should I be worried?
QUOTE (Nik+Heather @ Sep 2 2009, 04:07 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Unless the medical doctor told you he wasn't going to pass you, I wouldn't worry about it. For UKers with high BP, they actually tell you to get it checked out and get a note from your GP before they pass on your medical approval (happened to Nik). So, it must not have been that high - but you should take the opportunity to be proactive separate from the visa process.

For others: If you have high blood pressure (or other conditions), you should bring a letter from your doctor to the medical - for things like this, they just want to be sure that it isn't undiagnosed, but that you're taking care of it.

So if someone were to "fail" or be in the position to "fail" at the interview the doc at the medical would say something?

Shouldn't matter, but High BP could be an indicator for underlying conditions.

I would get it checked out. (how high did they say?)

He didn't say. He didn't make a big deal of it either. But I know it's up to the consulate to make the decision.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionHigh Blood Pressure - should I be worried?
I just had my medical today and it seemed like everything went OK of course I dont have the results for the blood an test and X-ray, but Im sure theyre fine. One thing, doc said my blood pressure was a bit high. I am 25, health active male - I was just a bit nervous today. Will the high blood pressure come back to haunt me at the interview? Should I be concerned?

Thanks!
