Good heavens...we have fallen off the first page! no0pb.gif

Can't be having that, in case, sad to say, new people come looking for help.

Looks like we're all slowly getting out... but I agree, we need to keep the thread on the first page. Sooner or later, there will be more people looking for help.

And, well, I've had a good time here, too. wink.gif

Aaaaa.

Everyone seems to be leaving so soon.

I have yet to get my visa (well, we hope that I just will..), but I won't leave right after that either. There's so much that needs to be done before I am ready. Some exams, thesis and getting rid of my current job, as well. Packing and such.. ugh. Don't even know how one goes about that, haha.

Now we start worrying about getting denied........ just two days before our petition expires. March 12th, the original interview date, would have worked a lot better, in that case, but it just didn't work for us. Fiance wants to be here for the interview and he just can't make it before April 1st.. ish.

We finally have a real interview date! April 8th at 10:30.

The embassy lady actually called me today on my cellphone to, basically, tell me that she had rescheduled our interview and... her vacation days... to make it all work. Or I assume so, considering our first today's conversation.. blink.gif

Yeah, I'll be calling them tomorrow to ask about that, as well as some other things that came in the mail today and make no sense at all.

I finally received Packet3&4 and they're full of outdated forms, most of which are in Croatian, instead of English, which is just beyond weird. I also have no idea who I am supposed to send my photos to, and why I need to do that, and just that immediately.

Queston for all lucky, out of AP people:

Besides finding out you're out of AP on the phone, did you receive that informtion through mail or email?
I am just curious because I want to resist calling them since I get disappointed everytime I call and get unfavorable response.

Thanks!

51 Days for me today.

Guys, there seem to be some good news as I just spoke to an operator and she said that it's technically still here, but will be sent to the embassy in India TODAY! That's certainly good news but I won't jump until I reconfirm this afternoon.

Congrats! =D

I have no idea what's up with my whatever envelope that I am supposed to receive. I called the Embassy today, spoke to the lady who knew me by the name, too (that's getting really weird..), she sent she mailed it on Monday... and that I should get it. Well, yeah, really, I should. But why is it not there? I totally don't understand why they use normal mail, instead of something you're supposed to sign for.. Grrr. If it doesn't show up here tomorrow, I'll have to call again. They'll just ban me and my phonecalls from the Embassy...

If anything, she said there will be no problems at all with rescheduling the interview. I just have to call back once I have my envelope.

Our case made it to the embassy in Zagreb yesterday around noon. My fiance couldn't resist emailing them so... he's the one who was given the info about my interview, too, haha. They were supposed to mail me my whateverstuff (instructions and interview information) yesterday, but I guess they're procrastinating a bit since I haven't received anything yet.

They told my fiance that my interview is scheduled for March 12th. Now I have to reschedule it for the beginning of April.

Either way, things are finally moving again, yay! star_smile.gif

yeah I am VERY SURE,that we are on AP before at NVC stage, when my Fiance called NVC for the first time after we had NOA2,the operator said that we are on AP.And on the next day when my Fiance called again and talked to a supervisor of NVC,they told my Fiance that we are on AP and we can't apply for expedite in NVC because our case was automatically expedited at USCIS stage,
and on the third day when my Fiance called NVC,they told my Fiance that our case has been sent to the Consulate of Manila and they gave us the MNL case number.
our case was on AP at NVC for 2 weeks,

Thanks for the explanation! I'm glad it went so fast. =)

According to all our APers' current timelines, your case should be out any day soon, too, dzyrhetom!

Having been through it now myself, I advise calling every day because it seems they really have no idea what they're saying, and the information provided by one agent can be opposite to what the other one will say in a phonecall maybe even minutes apart.

On the other hand, I feel a lot better now, but I must admit I am just as worried about the outcome of the interview. The embassy employee said today they had nothing at all even mentioning the wait at NVC, butbut. You never know with them.

Perhaps the electronic copy doesn't show it, but I can tell you that my interviewer had the report in her hand, as part of the case. She mentioned it to me as she leafed through about half an inch of paper, all with boxes down the right hand side, and bits highlighted. That's when she said we had been quite a while in AP. I said yes...51 days! I was trying to read it upside down laughing.gif

Ooo, so that makes us win. We were there for FIFTY TWO days!!! wink.gif

I have no idea what exactly is coming to them through actual mail, but he said nothing in the electronic file was showing the 7 week wait, or anything at all related to it. Either way, as long as it's some random cr*p, I don't care. I hope it'll be painless!

Congrats, dzyrhetom!

They said our case was sent two days ago, so that was on Feb 4th. DHL says it was physically picked up by DHL yesterday around 2pm. Makes sense. Croatia still doesn't have it, but the electronic copy is in their system so.. yup, it's true!

Lisa, you'll have it soon! It really means the current timeframe says, basically, 7 weeks.

Because I am a bit lazy, I'll just copypaste what I just typed in the August 2008 filers thread:

I talked to the Embassy just now.

They have an electronic copy of our file, the date of the interview has not yet been set (the guy said it often is the NVC that sets it, but our case says nothing about it). I mentioned the 7 week wait, he said there were no notes about it, at all - so.. our case spent seven weeks at NVC sitting at someone's desk?? Who knows. Either way, they'll contact me with instructions and some interview date as soon as they physically receive the case, which should be next week. Funny fact - they knew me by the name, they didn't need my case number, or anything. That says enough about the number of K1 cases that go through this embassy, haha. Another funny fact - I asked if he wanted the case number to check if they had it and he didn't need it because - the cases just sit there in his drawyer if they have it. So there really are just a few of us going through this process in Croatia.

Now we wait. DHL says our case is in Ohio right now. Should be here tomorrow, I assume, but I doubt there's anyone available at the Embassy on Saturdays.

Yay, things are finally moving again! It's kind of funny that they recognize me by my name there.. haha. I've called them once on the phone, months ago, and my fiance has sent a few emails in the past year. I've also seen the non-immigrant visa section people four times in the past year and a half. I'm turning into a visa celebrity in Croatia, huh? wink.gif
BadgerellaFemaleCroatia2009-02-06 07:59:00
National Visa Center (Dept of State)STUCK @ NVC for AP
Hahha, thanks, everyone!

I'm stalking the case online, since that's easy in Croatia - NVC sends maybe one case a week and I can't just mistake it for some other one. It was picked up by DHL yesterday and now seems to be in Ohio.

I'll still call the Embassy in about an hour to see what they have to say. As much as I know, I'm not able or supposed to do anything before they send me the packet, but it doesn't hurt to ask. I likes me some phonecalls. wink.gif

As for the interview date, we actually don't want it to be a speedy one - my fiance needs to organize his trip to Croatia because he wants to be here for the interview, and we need to leave us a bit of room for my remaining exams. So whatever the Embassy comes up with, will be rescheduled to a later date. At this moment, we don't know when exactly. It doesn't matter much, though, since from here on, things are a bit more in our hands, than... nobody's.

Thanks everyone, once more, and I wish you all luck, too, with whatever you're waiting for or working on! star_smile.gif

And - our case was forwarded to Croatia yesterday.

Should I call back and have someone else confirm it????

So.. they got it on the 15th of December, according to the lady. On February 4th, it was forwarded to Croatia. I am, right now, too lazy to do the math. Or, I just can't believe this is happening.

hi zyad,

I would like to ask you a question i was interviewd on the 29th of april 2008 and i was put under AP and its been so far 10 months iam worried that my petition might expire is it true that can be expired its not our fault its the nvc fault cause they are holding it my case was the I130 and what is the maximum for a I 130 petition under AP at NVC to reply back at you.

i hope uoi got answers for me man.

thanks,

samer

In one of my phonecalls to NVC, I asked if anything could expire because of their delays. The woman said that EVERYTING gets automatically extended, as long as it's in their hands, them being USCIS, NVC or USEM. I think I've read the same info elsewhere on the forums.

Either way, you should be safe. However, 10 months.. ugh.

I am beginning to have some real trouble dealing with our 7 weeks and.. 1 day. Or something.

My fiance and I agreed to avoid calling until another case gets DHL'd.

Mine was also 7 weeks TO BE AXACT stucked at NVC(I was not aware that we were on AP, thought it was only normal to be reveiwed more than a month at NVC, until I found this site and wondered why they had their schedule, d fact that they I was approved before them) ...I wrote NVC tru email, they replied and papers sent to USEM on 27th and USEM received on Feb.2, now I have my interview sched which will be on March 2, 2009. You will be D next. Good Luck to all of us.

Our is stuck, now past the 7 week mark (since we believe it was received by them on Dec 17th or 18th, or something like that)... Yes, I know that, realistically, I need to apply some more positive thinking, but it's hard. Maybe tonight I will call them again and see what another parrot will have to say and then ask for a supervisor just to make myself feel better, since I don't believe talking to them can speed up the process.

I work at a call center of some sort myself and there, no matter what is going on, it's not an acceptable phrase to say "I don't know, it's ______, we have no idea it will be done", just like I can't repeat the same sentence over and over again if my client has any and all further questions. What I cannot answer myself, it is actually MY job to have it forwarded straight to a supervisor or some other sort of a higher-up, who can then explain the problem into details. Yes, I am aware that government and finance-related business are not exactly the same, but... for f*'s sake, it's people's lives here they're playing with, even moreso than it is the case where I work, and where it's money we're dealing with.

I'm just getting really enraged, I suppose, since I can't see the end of this and, like I've been repeating from the beginning, I'm getting more and more scared of the outcome of the actual interview. Once it happens, of course. Which may or may not be anytime soon.

To make it even worse, we're not even in a hurry. Our original plan, having received our NOA2 about a month and a half earlier than expected, was to talk to the Embassy and have the interview rescheduled to mid or late March. I have a few more exams left before I can graduate and, well, it's just kind of smart to get it all done before my moving to the States. Otherwise, I'd have to come back to sort it out and whatnot. Well, I guess they're, actually, rescheduling things on our behalf. Har har har.

Okay, NVC, it's about time you stopped chewing on our case. It's boring; there's nothing interesting about us. Okay???

I really have no idea if we'll ever get out of that place, or what will happen with our case, or, well, us, once we're out.

Talking to a supervisor probably wouldn't do us any good either. What could they say? Repeat the same thing these regular agents keep telling us, just.. with some different accent? I'm sure they can't, and don't, speed cases up because people get annoyed listening to nealry automated parrot-like statements.

Meh.

Meh.

And meh.

How often should one contact NVC/USEM/whatever?

In these 7 weeks (I think we're breaking the 7 week mark.. today, or something like that), I've called NVC four times (five at the most) and we've sent two emails to NVC and one to the Embassy in Zagreb. I kind of want to call them at least ten thousand times a day, but my fiance thinks we'll just end up annoying someone and it will be even worse. I sort of almost agree with that one.

But still.

I'll keep hoping the case that's on its way to Zagreb is ours, even though the rational part of my brain says I'm, basically, an idiot. I won't be calling NVC again for at least a week. We're still practicing... patience, as well as waiting for them to reply to an email my fiance sent the other day. Might call the Embassy here, though, to see if they have the electronic information, or anything of the sort. More likely, I won't do that either. Maybe we'll break all the stuck-in-AP records and then also get denied, too. It'd make sense, considering our luck, overall.

Thank you, cdneh.

Is there a chance they would just... give you perfectly incorrect information? If the time on their website (DHL, that is) is the US time, the package was picked up by DHL about two hours after my phonecall with the agent. Is it at all possible that she'd just have wrong information available to her?

I guess I really am strying to grab a straw and, well, hold onto it.
