Just as I was handing it to the mailman in the sealed envelope I wondered if we had signed it. I tore it open to check and sure enough we had not. I had to go to Mariya's work and get her to sign it then back to the post office to tape it up and finally get it mailed. That was Monday the 26th and so far all it says is that it was accepted at the post office. In 6 days it should get further that that wouldn't you think. I guess I need to let it go and get a life. Why do we get so uptight over something we all know takes time to process. Got to find a project to keep me busy. Maybe block VJ from my computer for a month. Anyway just wanted to let some of the old guard that Mariya received her 10 year green card today. I know there are quite a group of us going through the I-751 process. Do you think it enough I am getting paranoid about having enough. I don't think i need too much, just has to be good evidence. Only thing I have to add is letters from friends. · Copies of the passport and green card of Mariya · A partial copy of our 2006 joint tax return · Copy of our auto insurance statement. · Copy of our bank statements showing joint account. · Copy of cable television statements showing a joint account. · Copy of Mariya’s Roth IRA showing husband Sam as beneficiary. · Copy of Mariya’s pay statements showing address of residency. · A copy of 2006 Christmas cards addressed to Sam and Mariya . I don't know how long that will take, it depends on who you bribe. At the interview what will they ask for as proof she is returning. She is 66 so I don't think she will be looking for a boyfriend. she has birth cert and deed to her property but that is about all. As far as hotness, your timing doesn't get much better for Bangkok weather. Relatively cool and no rain. Anyone have any scoop on the translation of the Birth Certificate for the interview? If they have the K1 submission, then they should have the original translations, but has anyone had any issues with this at the the interview? I have just passed the interview on Dec 20, due to the Birth Certificate, House registration and ID card I translated them into English by myself as well as made a copy of all. the consular officer will return all original and take copy. any question, don't hesitate to ask and good luck Waen Any suggestions on how to handle the air travel from Thailand. If I go to pick her up on a round trip ticket and then return with her, How do I get seats together? Any recomendations on airlines? Thanks. goontar I always use Eva air they have good connections in Tiepei and they have been the cheapest if you book on their website. www.evaair.com Book through a travel agent to get her a one way ticket they will get you seats together if at all possible. We flew from BKK to Sea and did not get seats together on the BKK to Tiepei leg, but the attendents were great they moved people around until we were seated together. Some butthead did not want to move so they had to do a lot of PR to get us together. When are you going ticket are cheaper right now. Ticket prices change all the time so keep checking until you find one you like. good luck Sam I got my ticket through a travel agent for $970 and yep I love Eva air it has one of the fastest flight time than any other airline I've seen for the price. EVA is great. I have used it several times. Not sure when I need to bring her over because I am still wating on NOA2. But I think late march is likely. Assuming everything goes well. I also have our 1 1/2 year daughter to bring with. Any thoughts on how to handle that? Do I have to purchase 3 seats? I think I should. Yes you will need three seats. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	SAWASDEE 2	EVOLUTION Not to throw a fly in the ointment, but my wife was refused her visa until she got her second Td shot. The woman told her if she got it and returned by 1 PM she would issue her visa. It was 11 AM. We raced to Bumrungrad and got the shot and made it back in time. While we were there we talked to others having to get a shot and all were Cambodian. I haven't heard of any others having this problem. Maybe the lady at window 5 was having another bad day. You are on the right coast and we are on the left coast so the price wiil probably be more. Our flight is out of Seattle. We got tickets for $983 RT and it wend down $30 since. I will let her know. She also thinks she has to go to Bangkok to get the visa, but according to the embassy she can get it in Phnom Penh. My wifes aunt who raised her wants to come and visit, but says they will not grant her a visa because she does not have $20,000 in the bank to assure them she will return. She is married with two children, owns a travel agency and a home. She will be coming alone. What are her chances of getting the visa? Should we even try. We are going back to Cambodia for a month on the 8th of Nov. I have rented a flat with air conditioning and a frig. Will not go without this time. Mariya's family says "oh it is cool this time of year" I will never believe that one again. Coming from foggy Northern California I melt when I hit that humitity. So far Eva is the cheapest we can find. $980 round trip from Seattle. Nobody seems to be able to beat that price. I like Eva only one stop and less the an hour layover in Tiepei.
