QUOTE (AGarcia @ Mar 17 2008, 02:41 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Why would it delay it? If both petitions are sent to NVC and I send in the Affidavit of Support shouldn't it just move like a regular IV case?

It takes time to process the I-864. Not what you think just by sending that fee in and expecting it to move like the K-3 process.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresquestion
K-3

No. For K-3, all you need is the approval of the I-129F. Otherwise, if you want to follow on the CR1/IR1 visa then you must wait for the I-130 approval. GOOD LUCK!

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures9 months after Cambodia received case... nothing.
Keep us posted. I am very knowledgeable in this arena. You carry a K-3 case, so did I.

As a matter of fact, you had no idea how many times I personally went inside that 55 million dollar US Embassy. Every IV group member knows me. I don't know if it's bad or good.

Trust me, finding useful help in Cambodia is not easy. Most times you get scammed. I know lots of people got scammed. There's about 250 k cambodians in the US. So, there's not many. Most of them are refugee and never been through the petition process. Yeah, I'm a freakazoid.

Hello m'friend from Cambodia,

I totally understand your situation very well. I am very enthusiastic to help you with your case because I, myself, am Cambodian and successfully petitioned my wife. Now, she has her VISA and is en route for the USA. Anyhow, let me continue my helping hand.

My recommendation is to goto the Embassy on Monday @ 1pm. The bulletin that is on the wall outside the embassy indicates what times you're allowed to inquire about an immigrant visa petition. In this case, the time alloted for you is Monday, 1p. However, you may enter any time because you're a US citizen. If you enter at the wrong time they become mad, and don't feel like helping you. My suggestion is to bring your NVC letter with the CASE Number which should resemble something like PHP2007XXXX or something like that into the Embassy to ask them to look for it.

After you show them that, ask them for packet 3 and tell them you haven't received it yet. Then, fill it out and mail it in using the Khmer Express Service located throughout Phnom Penh. Wait about 3 weeks. Go back and ask for the Packet 4 or interview date.

Please, PM me or post in Cambodian VJ Thread started by the Consolemaster inside the Asia and Pacific Forum here at visajourney.com. I'm glad to help a fellow Cambodian.

Cambodia's system of province is weird. Phnom Penh is a province if you look at the Cambodian country map. But, it's also listed as a city. But, it's okay. There's only one Phnom Penh, and they labeled streets with names and numbers. All you need is just to label the street numbers. You can put the street name too, but, it's unnecessary. I know, it's weird.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionHow To Change Foreign Address
Her parents died when she was five years old. She lives with her older sister. I want to shed tears after hearing her life story. She has no education, no skills, nothing that will let her earn a decent living in the USA. She's beautiful, and a hard worker. She never care about herself, only others. She's a servant right now. Before I met her, her fingernails were all worn and broken. She has been doing so much physical task. She worked in a restaurant without getting paid, and she cooks food all day. Sometimes she would cook foods for two days without sleep at all. She went through so much, and she never gets mad. I love her for all the reasons above, and more.

I am pursuing two degrees, electrical and computer engineering. Two years left until I graduate. With this degree, I can secure my future for our family. She don't have to work hard anymore. Her life will be better here than over there. Plus, there's medical insurance for her here so she don't have to worry about not being able to pay for medical. Nothing is wrong with her though, but it's good to have.

The more I talk about it, the more I miss her. :luv:

When they send you Choice of Agent packet, you can specify to have all mail deliver to you instead of Cambodia. You don't need to put the district location or area. All you need is the street number, and location number.

I highly recommend that they send you the information to your US address, that way it'll be easier with communication. I am petitioning for a k-3 VISA for my wife in Cambodia.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionMedical - STD / STI's ?
Gonhorrea can be cured, however, due to strains of 'superbugs' it has become troublesome with certain variation of Gonhorrea to be cured with antibiotics.

If that's an issue, it can be treated with certain antibiotics. It's known to cause abnormal birth, such as conception within the falopian tube which can be deadly. Or, damaged to the vas deferans within males creating infertility. I don't see why they included gonhorrea as a significant disease since it can be treatable.

I hope they don't look at gonhorrea with a red flag as compared to HIV/AIDS. Afterall, what about syphillis, genital herpes, chlymedia. etc...? Why aren't they included within the CDC lists of significant diseases? Weird.

You can get the medical done only if you have been assigned a case number by NVC. Some consulate requires you to do interview and medical on the same day. Make sure you find that out.
