K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNOA2: Approved Notice-Valid date?
The valid date don't seem to have any type of bearing on your case. The embassy entirely ignores it if your interview is scheduled passed that date. My NOA 2 date for K-3, which is the same as K-1, passed before my wife had her interview.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresOriginals to Embassy?
Don't give them a letter, it'll only make it worse. Just totaled up the two jobs, find the total income, and place it on the derived income line. If they ask your fiancee where you got this from, the employment letter will be accepted. I helped someone on this before. The embassy accepted the affidavit.

Your mother need not write an affidivat. Use the form I-134 as well. Also, include the most recent tax returns or better yet, past three years. In the relationship part just put petitoner's (your name basically) mother.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresOriginals to Embassy?
Eventhough your w-2 only showed 1/4 income, have an employment letter with an income. It must show either hourly wage or yearly salary. Then on the derived income line on the I-134, put the salary there. In case of hourly wage, determine the max hours you can possible work in a year and multiply that by your wage and place that sum on the derived income line. Many of the visa attendants are lazy to do the calculations, you need to put a value there.

Just take the documents mentioned on the packet 3. If the embassy requires something more, they'll let you know. For your mother, just use a notarized I-134, which is the same as your affidavit of support.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresDo I need to hire a lawyer for the K-1 process
If you read the directions, then follow it, no lawyer is needed. However, if you neglect to read the directions, or purposefully ignorant about it, use a lawyer.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNew guy with a question
I never use an attorney. Plus, it's very expensive. You pay a retainer fee, plus their hourly wage. Use them only when you get a problem that you yourself cannot solve.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHow picky is the USCIS on passport photo specs?
I used a scissor and cut the passport photo from dye sublimation photo printer (Kodak). The sides was crooked, but, they still accepted it. Weird.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNew here
The point of having a sponsor is that they do not want someone to rely on governmental support when they've just entered into the States. Governmental support such as Welface, TADFC, Food Stamps, etc...They want to be guaranteed that your fiance will not be a burden to them.

I don't know if they'll make an exception. It's very difficult to fight them. Find even a friend.

K-1 varies. Some people would get approval in one month, others would get it 3 months. But, a majority tend to get an approval within 30 days.

If you can't support him, then you will need to file form I-134 later on. Find someone who is close to you, and know you well and earn above the boundaries of the Federal Poverty Guidelines to act as the sponsor for your fiance.

Just follow the directions on the I-129F form. Give them what is asked. You will be fine. RFE (Request for Evidence) may be mailed out if they find that you forget to give them something, or they want something else to prove your relationship.

Make sure you read the guides we have. It's the best place to look first.

That is a good question. I would assume all you need is a one way flight since they know your loved one is immigrating.

Yes, I would assume the same thing, but I seem to remember reading a post that said they prefer to see a return flight in case things don't work out. Logically this makes no sense and I am not even sure it is true, but I figured I would put the question out there... whistling.gif

No. Whether or not there's a return flight, it's irrelevent unless there was something wrong like they discovered that you were involved in a case over in London or something. I don't know.

Some countries offer two tickets at a lower price than one-way.

LAX also provide the 90-day work stamp too!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresdid hepaB positive can have fiancee visa?
No. Hep B will not stop your chance of getting the visa. My sister's 2nd cousin has HEP B, and she arrived by marriage without any problems last year.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWould you let him take a crap on you?
You must return back to your country. There is no need to for USCIS to continue with your process because you refuse to marry the US Citizen. This is an indication that you're not happy with him. And, they will probably not grant legal status to you because there's no reason for you to live here. Anybody has a better answer?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresSAWASDEE 3 (2009 Thai thread restarted)
I will tell you from experience living in Cambodia for 6 continuous months, alot of Thai preserve foods are bought from farmers in Cambodia. Along the Koh Kong and Hak Lek border southeast of Thailand alot of trading between the Cambodia merchants and Thai merchants there.

The Thai merchants buy stocks of these fishes, crabs, and other fisheries from the Koh Kong merchants and process them in Thai. It drives the costs of food high in the poor Cambodian world.

As much as the I love the Thai foods, I dislike their politics as much as the Cambodians. Why not used the land border verdict that was settled by the UN? Argh...Driving me crazy. Who cares who owns what in the past? Didn't Spain own a big part of America in the early 16th century? Times has changed.

For the ignorant fool.

The salt in the papaya salad kills the bacteria. How does salt kill bacteria? Simple. It removes the water inside the cell cutting it off from any further chemical reaction. I'm surprise that nobody know why people do not get sick from it because of this.

And, I can also explain why the need to goto the bathroom after eating. It's because of the spices. Heck, if I overload your hamburger with the Thai Chillis, you'll be going to the bathroom in the next 6-12 hours after eating it.
