Congratulations on your NOA2 and feel confident knowing that everything will move much faster now. You don't have to answer, but I'm trying to figure out the reason for your delay - was there anything weird or noteworthy about your case like a criminal history, prior K1s/I-129Fs filed, lots of divorce records or something? Thanks, the last few weeks have been difficult, not knowing when is torture especially when peeps keep asking. We did hit a wall once we had overtaken the VJ timeline estimates. I was fine, Lee was getting paranoid, not easy to deal with from a distance. As for why, who knows for sure, nothing to hide here. No dodgy history, no overstays or previous K1's but we have both been married twice before, both of hers were US military so moved around a lot. Would only be guessing that this would be the reason, but seriously, 187 days for that?? To be honest today has been more disbelief and then relief that this stage at least is over, than anything else. I do wish everyone else still waiting the best of luck. Did you have to call someone to finally get it moving? 25th Apr Our 5 months was up. 10th May Called and raised service request, told to wait 15 days and call back. (got no email confirmation) 25th May Called back, told to email vsc.ncscfollowup@dhs.gov wait 21 days for reply then email SCOPSSCATA@dhs.gov then wait further 10 days before calling on the phone again. 30th May case status checked, changed to PDA I'm not sure if calling made any difference or not, no way to tell. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Anybody who have not gotten their NOA2 with a January 2012 NOA1	Was it exact 20 days after "Service Request"? 25th Apr Our 5 months was up. 10th May Called and raised service request, told to wait 15 days and call back. (got ref number over the phone but no email confirmation) 25th May Called back, told to email vsc.ncscfollowup@dhs.gov wait 21 days for reply then email SCOPSSCATA@dhs.gov then wait further 10 days before calling on the phone again. 30th May case status checked, changed to PDA I'm not sure if calling made any difference or not, there is no way to tell. He made me feel like i was being irrational because i was concerned that i hadn't received an NOA 2 yet!! I will call again though. I will do anything!!! I can't believe you are still waiting NOA2 is not a term that USCIS uses, might have confused him ?? Anyway from the USCIS website, contact us page... If you contacted the National Customer Service Center with a case-related inquiry and more than 30 days have passed and you have not received a response, you may email the appropriate USCIS Service Center with your inquiry: Vermont Service Center: vsc.ncscfollowup@dhs.gov If you do not receive a response within 21 days of contacting the Service Center, you may contact the USCIS Headquarters Office of Service Center Operations by email at SCOPSSCATA@dhs.gov I would be emailing both these and calling them too. At least, this specific wait is over. More waiting to come. BUT, at least I can finally move forward now and make some progress! Anyway my fiance managed to get to tier 2 and put in the service request... it looks like it's really hard and not many January filers from VSC managed to do that but looks like we were lucky although it requires a bit nerves as you have to keep repeating you want them to put you through to Tier 2 and they keep asking you what is it about and why can't they help you... We will see what response we will get...they have 15 days to reply! You may not got any response at all. We got nothing. I specifically asked about the 15 days when they said it, what do we do if we have heard nothing after 15 days? The answer was predictable....call us back We were approved after 20 days though. Believe me, I haven't given it a second thought since NOA2, and you won't either, your focus will be on the next stage and onwards We had one of those A XXX XXX XXX numbers on our RFE too. (It say's applicant / petitioner A#). Does that mean that eventually becomes my SSN # ?? Would be curious if anyone knows... No it doesn't. SSN is in format XXX-XX-XXXX Yes. It feels like we are dealing with the most psychotic system ever created...Service requests are and have always been useless, I wasn't too concerned that I couldn't push one through. Based on the information VosnMars received and prior experiences here Congressman and Senators are the best resource for some assistance. (However, only when approaching and beyond the 6 months point). What VosnMars said about the 5 months and 30 days has been stated before..Hopefully many of us can acquire an expedite now. Yesterday was a very weak day at VSC. Hopefully today is better.....Just baffles me what's going on over there. What utter rubbish!! It says "the above petition has been approved, and forwarded to the listed consulate" but there's not a consulate listed on this paper and there's a number above my fiancé's (the beneficiary) name. Is that suppose to be the case number the NVC issues? It also says its valid from 7/12/12 to 11/12/12 The I-129F completed by the petitioner asked "your fiance will apply for a visa abroad at the American embassy or consulate at..." This is the kind of stuff that should not be happening. If you say that you process in the order received...well then process in the order received for God's sake. Or at least have some level of consistency. Can't believe this week will be 6 months...Been anxiously waiting for this NOA2 since the middle of May now...Please let it end this week...
