K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January 2014 Filers	I checked the National Visa Center site today and put in my new number, the new message:     Please follow the instructions you received from the National Visa Center (NVC) for the next step in the processing of your visa petition. If you have misplaced the instructions sent to you by the NVC or did not receive them, please contact us athttp://travel.state..../info_3177.html for additional information.   Does that mean there will be instructions sent in the mail?  They have only had my packet two days.  I hope it means it is headed to Manila soon! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Waiting :/	Unfortunately where your paperwork went has the slowest response rate.  I filed in January at the Vermont Service center and I just received notice today that it was approved.  But see if your filing is past the average wait time.  If so, contact the service center and request and inquiry.  I did that with mine.  After that, things moved along very fast! Russia, Ukraine and Belarus	Question regarding medical exam	She has to wait for the approval first, of course.. Once approved and has interview appointment set up already, then she can go for medical exam which should be at least a week before the scheduled interview, to give them enough time to send the results to the embassy.. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	What happens next?	We have just received our appointment information in the mail for my husband's biometrics for the adjustment of status. My question is what happens after the biometrics appointment to adjust status for a 10 yr green card? Aren't we supposed to have an interview?   After the biometrics, you'll have to wait for an interview letter in the mail or there will be a status change update online. If you also filed EAD and AP with your AOS, then after biometrics, you'll wait for those also to get approved and get your EAD/AP card in the mail. My husbands biometrics was done 2 months ago, but so far we are still waiting for an update about the interview. His EAD/AP card on the other hand is already with him. Philippines	CFO Requirments for LPR visiting home	Good Afternoon, I was just wondering if anyone knew if my wife which is a LPR and holds a Philippine passport needs to redo her CFO in order to exit the country. She arrived in the states on a K1 Visa, and we have since gotten married, and she has a 2 year green card now. She has the old CFO documents in her passport, but she is going to renew her passport with her married name this week at the Philippine Embassy. Does she need to take out the CFO documents that is stapled in the passport for future use in the new passport.   I am sorry if all this might be a dumb question, but I just don't want any surprises later on and when we visit the Philippines next year.  I am hoping that someone can explain if she has to be bothered with the CFO regulations at this point in time. Thanks in advance.   I don't think so, since she is a green card holder already.. I was once a green card holder when I first arrived in the USA.. I had my Philippine Passport renewed last 2009 in LA Philippine embassy and they took my old passport (including the one with the CFO sticker).. I visited the Philippines last 2010 and had no problems.. I just showed my Green Card at that time.. but no CFO sticker whatsoever..   If you are really concerned, you can make copies of that page where the sticker is and the bio page.. I don't think she can take it out coz she's gonna need to surrender the old one, right? so I guess they would need the complete pages of the passport..   hope that helps.. I just like the way it just deposits the money straight to their bank accounts.. $4.99 transfer fee if using checking account and delivered in peso.. that's the lowest fee they have.. it gets expensive by $2-4 I believe if using a credit card to transfer or if receiving dollars instead of pesos.. exchange rate? it's usually 1 dollar less to whatever is the current exchange rate, I think.. Philippines	MNL Case Number from NVC	Hi everyone,    I would just like to ask information about what to do next?   so it's September 20, 2013, I just got a letter from NVC with my case number (starting with MNL #) it says 'the state dept NVC has recently received an approved i-129F petition filed on behalf of your fiance. This letter is to let you know that within a week the petition will be forwarded to the appropriate visa-issuing post where your visa interview will take place. The US embassy/consulate will contact your fiancé when ready to begin processing his/her application.  'Your fiance will receive a packet with instructions from the consular section on how to apply for the K1 visa at that post and what documents will be required."   sooooo... the question would be? do we wait for him to receive a letter from the manila consulate or proceed paying the fee and scheduling the medical and interview?   i searched online and it says For Packet 3:   For K-1 Everything is online, don't sit around waiting for a letter that won't arrive. http://manila.usemba...v/wwwh3224.html   so i am confused on what to do next?   please help me...     Yeah! like what they said, no need to wait for your letter coz half of the time, you don't get it.. Is this normal time for NVC to schedule an interview?? It seems like people usually get their interview dates pretty quickly after case complete.  Is your embassy from manila? Philippines	1040 vs IRS Transcripts	If you have your tax transcripts from 2012 you are good to go (other years are not needed, requested, nor accepted by USEM).   The embassy instructions letter states tax return, but people have been using transcripts for years without issue, they are the same information.   If you choose to use a tax return, you can make a copy of the one you have (making sure it's signed and dated)... does not need to be from the IRS.   Use your 2012 transcripts...   Great! A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form with original signature will be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioners ability to be  financially responsible for you. You should also submit your petitioners most recent U.S. Federal income  tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank  statements may be included to substantiate the I-134. Download Form I-134 at http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis. Hi hank! Can't find a concrete answer.. Anyway, i do have a copy of my form 1040 (for keeping in case needed), but those are just my copies when i originally filed my taxes.. And they did not come from IRS (should it have a seal, letterhead or something meaning they are authentic coz it came directly from irs?)..
