Caribbean	How long does it take to get K-1 Visa issued in the Dominican Republic?	Last week I had wrote an email to the embassy about the whereabouts of our visa, and they sent me a reply that stated that we should check the DOM EX carrier tracking number at the end of next week. I wonder if the person that wrote me knows that our visa is going to be shipped soon or not. No the oerson who answer the e-mails doesnt know about the issuance of visas. And in many times they dont know about what they are answer. Sometimes they give wrong answers. And when call you get more wrong answers too. For example, in ready status says that your case is ready for a interview .... But you have had your interview already, you call to ask what happen and they tell you that you need a new interview. You explain them that you have had the interview already but they say : you need a new interview. But that isnt truth, they say that because they read that in the status on ceac. The people who work in the call deparment and at the e-mail deparment when people are in ap , they are useless they dont know what to answer. Belive me I have 4 months in this and dealing with them. We went on AP starting today :/ This really sucks.   The visa status website says this process can take 2 weeks, while the US Embassy Santo Domingo site says it can take up to a couple months.   Ohhhh I hope that your ap end soon. I hope that they dont put you long time like me. Today I have 4 months in ap. Dont be waiting a letter where they say to you do the medical, never the letter say do medical. Ds-160 can be fill out any time once you know case number. I paid banco popular one month before interview and filled out ds-160 one month before interview also. If they sent you an e-mail with the beneficiary name, case number and interview date that is packet 4, with that she can pay at banco popular and do medical. In the subject type the case number, in the e-mail type the beneficiary name and birth day and patitioner too. Caribbean	Packet 4 received by the petitioner?!?/ Medical Questions- Dominican Republic	Packet 4 is that 3 pages. Dont wait a separate page for medical, to do medical is with the page that has the names and interview date on. Dont wait a page that say anything about medical. To do the medical your fiance can go 3 weeks before interview, if go 4 weeks before they dont let do medical one month before interview. For the medical now it is 6 photos, this is new. You can e-mail the packet 4 and your fiance print it here, or maybe your fiance get his or her packet 4. Hey guys, so the weirdest thing just happened.. I received packet 4, but i am the petitioner, not the beneficiary. I am so confused. There were 3 papers, and it had my Fiances name and my name and address on top, so I don't know what to think. Can I just photocopy the papers and email it to him so he can print it out and take it to pay at banco popular and get everything else?   Also for the medical, if he decides to get the vaccines, does the medical office provide an extra copy for my fiance for the AOS process? will the consulate provide this, or how will this work. I'm not sure if I am making any sense. lol   How does the paper for the medical look like? does this comes in packet 4? Caribbean	Changes coming in Santo Domingo	Changes for residents visas come on january 1, 2015. The information is on the wed. Changes on november 12 are for turist visa, student visa and job visa. Embassy continue using banco popular service. The aplicant on november 12 need to fill out a form on the wedsite and create an profil after that will get a Page with information about how much to pay at banco popular, once paid at banco popular go again on the wedsite to get an appoinment. Papers are going to be received before the cita at galeria 360 at santo domingo, in this place the applicant will gmake the fingersprint and take picture. Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)	what does "mandatory administrative processing 'means	I need help my fiancé went to the embassy in Egypt for an interview on April 1 2014 for a k1 visa and the officer was very rude and mean to her and at the end of her interview he give her a paper that administrative processing is marked on it , two weeks after that she got her passport back from the embassy with no visa on it and no refusal form so I contacted the embassy and they told me that's the case is going under mandatory AP then I asked them back why did u sent her passport back before finishing AP they told me that's the case is going to be send back to the national visa center and if u have any more inquiry call the NVC I waited two weeks after that and I called the NVC they told me that's my case is under AP and that's they don't have more information for me and they hung up on me and now im so confused and worried and I don't know what to do so im seeking help with any kind of advice Start a new topic. Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)	Sdo- AP from march 24	Yesterday I decided to call the $7 dollar help line phone number after speaking with the gal from DOMEX.  She notified me that the consulate received our paperwork on Monday afternoon and that they were waiting for the consulate to mail back whatever needed to mail (ie passport, or further request for information).  I called the help line and the gentleman was no help in my case.  He just gave me the company line explaining it could take up to six weeks.  I asked him if there was a way to confirm the consulate received my documents and he said no that it could take up to six weeks because they have to receive the documents and analyze. In my case birth certificates don't need much analyzing and I expressed this to him and again he just gave me the company line of needing to wait for 6 weeks.  I asked him about the possibilities of it being lost in the mail and under that circumstance what should I do.  He explained that I need to wait up to six weeks and then if I don't receive an email or phone call from the consulate that I need to call them back for directions on how to proceed.  He said if they consulate needs more information they will send you an email and have you either email them the information or mail the information.  This wasn't very helpful to me, but perhaps it is for you.  I believe it has been way more than six weeks in your case.  Perhaps, you could call the $7 phone number or have your fiance call to see what they say.    I also read in a previous post from last year that someone said they were in AP for about 2 weeks and were concerned because their status kept changing from Issued to Approved, to AP, to denial.  She said she went to the embassy for help.  Based on her post if you show up before eight o clock they will give you a number to a window that is outside the consulate.  She said there was about 20 people in line the day she went.  She said the woman at the consulate was helpful and looked up her information on the computer system.  Her post read that the woman notified her that her system was the most accurate and that everything was fine with her visa.  She told her to disregard CEAC website as sometimes it is not accurate.   If I continue to see my case being updated on CEAC website but no change in my status then my fiance and I decided we would make the trip to Santo Domingo to ask in person.  Does anyone know if this has changed in regards to showing up before 8 to ask questions at a window outside the consulate???? But I have red about the $ 8 dollars numbers that is useless, I have red many post that people say that they get best answers by e-mail. last may 21 I sent a letter to the ambassador maybe he has soul and try to help me. But I think that God knows why he makes the things. God's times is perfect. I feel terrible here but God knows when to issue the visa., if that is good for me. Now my fiance thinks that I am a criminal or that I have problems with the justice and for that they havent issued the visa, I explain to him that never in my life I have been arrested or havent problem with jutice. He has a lot of douts now, and I am thinking that if he continue with his douts about me, I will finish the relationship, because when you love someone you dont have dout , you trust in that person. But he is listening some dominicans people there that tgey say that I want only go to usa and after that leave him. And that isnt truth if I go there is for him. But if he doesnt trust in me, I wiil finish and I will tell him that call to the consulate to cancel the petition. And I will e-mail the consulate that send me back my passport, I have my life here. In DR it is usually an automatic denial if the petitioner is not present at the time of the interview!   Its difficult I know! But have patience. AP will take a few weeks, you can also call and find out what is going on or email the embassy. I got pretty good results emailing weekly.   Good luck! Yes I know I am lucky that I was approved alone. I have e-mailed them but I get the same answer: it is an internal process and that I need to wait. But this waiting kille. it is hard, but all the time I am sure that God gives the things in the best time. But everything I read say you have to give them at least 60 days to work on the case while in AP. I am seeing your AP ending very soon and your visas being issued VERY FAST!! The co said I was approved and took my passport. they didnt give any 221g or nothing. The co said go to pay the courrier delivery for passport. Now I am waiting my passport from march 18. In my interview didnt lack any papers or medical exam. I dont understand why they play with people like that, they approved and then they put people in ap, and that can take until year. They dont respect the humans rights. Once you are approved you have the right to be with your fiance. I dont have any justice problem, I am a teacher and no criminal records. I dont understand.
