6 days, 11 hours, 31 minutes and 40 seconds, or 559,900 seconds, or 9331 minutes or 155 hours - Not that I am counting down or anything

LOL but heaven forbid if he is under the weather you know it is like the world must stop. Mikel has a little scratchy throat and you would think he is on his death bed. Actually last night he said he may die in his sleep. SMH!!!! :bonk:

Oh, DJ does that all the time - in the meantime, I am like - my back hurts, my knee is swollen, the dentist was just digging in my mouth and my allergies are killing me - Go to the doctor or get over it :bonk:

LOL - I have full support of my boss to say no - I told him that I am not going above and beyond unless my job re-eval (2 years over due) is done - Then I turned around and came back to work from the gym for him last night, lol - But I will help him out, just not anyone else

EXACTLY - and we have had this discussion many many times before - What's worse is the byatch was IN THE OFFICE - in meetings with the tech program people! I was on a friggin mediation call and had to put a JUDGE on hold!!

:wow: hope the afternoon off helped...I wouldn't want you flippin out on me. Did you make her cry?

It was by email - and she isn't speaking to me today - She put her out of office on bc she was "in meetings" and to contact me with tech issues - so my phone was blowing up, people were standing over me - I was on a mediation call, and didn't even know she was going to be unavailable - I blasted her to remove my name from her out of office and never do that without asking first, so she replied that I was her backup and I need to keep her advised of my schedule - Ummmmmmm.............. nope, I do you a FAVOR by backup work, it's not in my job duties, I am not being paid for it - And I keep my boss advised of my schedule, not you!

How exactly do I get started with this K-2 Visa process??????? Been reading a few threads, but they say so much that is different for specific countries. Do I need to file the I-130 first or should I contact the consulate? HELP :help: :help:

Did you list the child on the K1? If so, you should still be within the 1 year period that I believe you can just email the embassy and ask for the interview appt.

Morning all -

LadyC, sorry to hear you are having problems still - I agree that counseling is a good idea, and you and G need to get on the same page - You have to present a united front or the behavior won't change. You might want to browse around on some of the parenting forums, like http://forum.supernanny.com/ - Sometimes it helps to read what others have tried / success or failure.

Good luck today Bajan - waiting for the good news!

Hello everyone, hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Today I am taking Kaci to the West Farms mall in West Hartford, I plan on introducing her to the retail outlet BEBE. My guess is it will be love at first site... :D

Thanks Sus! I have used the first website, but hadn't heard about the second one. I can't wait to try something from it. Can you give me the recipe for the Thai Peanut Sauce chicken? I think Vaughn would like that too. That is funny about DJ just eating what you put in front of him. Now that you say it Vaughn is the same. Before I would say "do you want me to make..." and he would say no and then I just started making stuff and he's liked 4 out of 6 which I'm happy with. I told him to start he will probably like 1 out of 10 things I make since I've never cooked before.

Hey yardies!!

Cook the chicken and follow the recipe on the sauce mix - I think you add a can of coconut milk

he does ask a lot of questions tho which is nice that he feels comfortable talking to me about it

My nephews ask a lot of questions, but not that graphic, lol - But they are funny how open they are with talking about things, and technical terms - I picked up the oldest (12) the other day, and some girl was madly calling to him and waving bye - asked him who that was, and he told me he "guessed they are going out" - apparently her friend came up to him and told him that he is now the other one's boyfriend!

When you see a VW beetle you punch the person in the car and call out the color. Everyone has a little different saying but we say...Yellow punch buggy no punch back. VW has been running a commercial saying "blue one" "red one" etc.

Poke you owe me a coke!

Sorry Sus I dont get it

LOL - Maybe it's an American thing - Back when the VW bugs were popular, when one passed by you hit the person next to you and said Punch Buggy, or Red Punch Buggy - They have brought that back in the VW commercials now where two people are on the street and a VW goes by, and one hits the other and says Red one, Blue One, etc....

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaI130 HIJASTRA APROBADA PASOS A SEGUIR
HOLA A TODOS...

ESTE MEDIO ME HA AYUDADO MUCHISIMO DURANTE MI PROCESO DE AJUSTE DE ESTATUS POR MATRIMONIO CON USC, EL 12 DE ESTE MES RECIBI LA APROBACION DE MI AJUSTE DE ESTATUS Y TAMBIEN LA APROBACION DE LA I130 DE MI HIJA PETICIONADA POR MI ESPOSO. MI HIJA SE ENCUENTRA EN COLOMBIA Y CONOZCO QUE AHORA EL PROCESO PARA ELLA INICIA EN EL CENTRO NACIONAL DE VISAS Y UNA VEZ AHI TERMINADO CONTINUARA EN LA EMBAJADA DE LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS EN BOGOTA.

MIS PREGUNTAS SE RELACIONAN CON EL TIEMPO DE ESPERA O PROCESAMIENTO ENTRE EL CENTRO NACIONAL DE VISAS Y LA EMBAJADA. EXISTE ALGUNOS PASOS QUE PUEDA IR ADELANTANDO, ME SIENTO MUY ANSIOSA CUANDO NO ESCUCHO NOTICIAS Y QUISIERA AGILIZAR ESTE PROCESO LO MAS QUE HUMANAMENTE PUEDA YA QUE EL SOLO AJUSTE DE ESTATUS MIO TOMO 14 MESES Y CLARO PORQUE UTILICE LA AYUDA DE OMBUDSMAN Y DE UN CONGRESISTA DE OTRA MANERA TAL VEZ MI ARCHIVO ESTARIA PENDIENTE DE REVISION POR DIOS SABE CUANTO TIEMPO MAS, PERO BUENO GRACIAS A EL YA ESTE PROCESO ESTA CULMINADO.

EXISTEN PASOS QUE YO PUEDA SEGUIR PARA HACER EL PROCESO MAS AGIL, ALGUIEN CONOCE EL PROCESO CUANTO SE TARDA??

BUENO LES AGRADEZCO A QUIENES PUEDAN ORIENTARME

Yeah, Andre had 6 dogs in his yard and a couple cats. There is a difference though between running around the yard and actually treating them like one of your kids.

I still have the dog :innocent:

At one point, DJ had this little puppy, about 6 weeks old - the man had no food in his house, but would cook cereal each am for the dog - who had a bed in the corner of the bedroom. Yet when I woke up in the middle of the night, I had a foot in my neck cause the puppy was up on DJ's chest, tucked under his chin. Then he got a cat - I found out cause he was laying in bed talking to me on the phone and I could hear purring - the cat was curled up on him. He is the one who feeds all the puppies in his yard -

No worries about the pets being treated like one of our kids.

So you have two dogs now? I thought the one you just got was your only one -

I feel you 100% on that. I was dumb and said never. LOL

LMAO - I said I would never go through an LDR again either - Yet here I am! As many problems and delays as we have had, I don't know that I would trade it - I truly believe that everything happens for a reason, and the blocks have been there to make us focus on US and the relationship - If we had rushed into it, we wouldn't have what we have. Having gone through all we have, anything else should come easily.

have any of you guys ever blasted off your husbands/fiances when they make requests? i'm just wondering
it's based on a request i saw on facebook this weekend and i just thought if i were in that person's shoes i would tell my husband get your a$$ the eff outta here with that $hit (in my best yankee voice of course, lol)
it's a serious question though

Absolutely blasted off

no like in terms of food, drinks, music, reading material etc
when i read lady c's question it brought back something i saw on fb over the weekend
i'm just wondering if you guys ever feel pressure to create a mini jamaica in your home, esp when you aren't originally from ja
do you ever feel like it's one sided?

I don't think it would be pressure for me to create a mini jamaica, lol - my house practically is - Most of my artwork is from the islands, Reggae and Soca music playing, JA food in the pantry and the fridge - that's the way I live now - I don't just have love for the man, I have love for all things Jamaican - or almost all things Jamaican, lol -

I think it's important to try to incorporate all the cultures into your home and find the blend that works for both of you. For example, that's how my family end up with an Easter meal of Ravioli, ham, kielbasa, polish easter bread, german Kleiben,.....

I took my mother to the International market this weekend - they had chicken feet, and she looked at them and said what do you do with the nails, don't they fall off when it cooks? I told her you cut them first - thought she was going to vomit!

but i got my payback because my mother said she could hear him snoring from downstairs one day :bonk:
and when i told him he was soooooo in denial

DJ denies it too - and he talks in his sleep, crazy stuff - When I was with his Mom this trip she was telling me how he used to talk about playing football in his sleep, and kick the ball - so it's obviously always happened -

Hows Mr. Man? Is he good. One of Acory & I friend got through to come to NY. He actually should have been here long time b/c he married his wife in 2008. He however had to "cleanse" & easy himself b4 medical. Lol.
I'm happy for my friend b/c this is now 2nd close friend of Cory now living in driving distance. Basically Cory can go mingle w/the fellas b/c my friends & I are something when ready. A good something though.

Glad to hear that he has friends close by - that's always a good thing. Apparently Yankee's hubby and DJ have already decided that we need to move closer to one another!

I was wondering that, too, before Sus explained. That HAS to be frustrating.

Sus, did they forewarn you of this? We had mandatory meetings a month ago where they told us not to expect raises this year. I was just glad I got mine at the end of last year, before the raise freeze.

No warnings, just rumors - I wouldn't have a problem with it if it were across the board - but execs are getting their bonuses - I am sorry, bonuses should be cut BEFORE the raises - at the very least it should have been an across the board cost of living increase - My manager is great though, just the company sucks - although we talked about pushing through my re-eval (2 years past due) and I told him today that I want to meet with HR - because they said that 20% of my duties must fall outside of my current description to justify it - About 95% of my duties are outside of my job description, so I want to sit down and go through line by line and then let them justify why my job hasn't changed.

Interestingly enough, I got two recruiter calls today
