Oh, we don't even want to go into the root canals - I had a dentist break a drill off in my tooth, the piece is still there! Okay, girl yes the mouf is something serious and costly...dentists get crazy paid! Yes, they do - You don't even want to know what all this will be costing me - and I have good dental insurance! why don't they like pulling teeth in this country? Cause we don't like to have toothless people wandering round This problem wouldn't be fixed by pulling, though - it's my gums, can't pull those! Although the dentist did tell me they do gum implants by taking tissue from your azz, same type of tissue = Gives a whole new meaning to potty mouth!! I believe this May we are going to the Dominican or a cruise...Great Company, the owner takes care of its employees as long as we meet our numbers. I get my tires there - Our company takes care of it's sales people too - it's just the corporate that get screwed I told her if she wants she can take some classes in Hotel Management, I told her to take her time and get comfortable. There is no rush in her getting a job unless she feels like she needs one. She has unbelievable people skills though... I'll be home in and hr 1/2 and well, I'll be mixing my lemonade, ice tea and appleton on di rocks since it's so damn hot I might make a slush drink -- I hate when I make reservations for people and things change that I have no control over:angry: This is my vex of the day, and it's not even work related! It's time for the nightmare booking Ocean City trip= who is going, who is not, how big of a room, etc... = of course finding a place is on me. So this year, I sent the email out that I needed yes or nos, and money UP FRONT (since one still owes me from last year ) Got it down to three of us definitely committed - found a suite, confirmed again that it was a go before booking, was supposed to see one on Sat and she said she would pay me then - didn't see her. Wouldn't you know that the heffer emailed yesterday that she can't go? I was LIVID - For two people, we don't need that big a room - so I told her she has to pay the $100 cancellation fee and I will book somewhere else. Next time, I am only booking for the one friend I know will go no matter what - everyone else is on their own! Dammit....this question has been up down and around...SEVERAL people have told me I can collect unemployment, SEVERAL have told me I can't because I've only been here 3 months...Well SUS is right 99.9% of the time and she's in the CAN GET camp, my friend who is a lawyer ALSO just weighed in in the CAN GET camp....I SO badly want to take this summer off...I am SICK and TIRED of leaving my house at 6am and getting home at 7pm....I have SO many places to go, NY, CA, FL and even Jamaica and can't because of being chained to work....So will call them own damn self tomorrow and see what's up!!!! I think they can only do 2 quarters the most. My doctors told me the same thing so I only had to go in twice. Thanks - My cousin was teasing me about that this am - our friend just had neck surgery, so my cuzz told me she knew where I could get some strong drugs - that is if we could get her to part with them! I think I am going to have him do the top half of the same side next week, then just do the other side all at once to get it over with. Thurs is back to the regular dentist for two fillings - Then one extraction and four crowns and I should be done (yes, I have bad teeth, lol) ok i know i hail from the caribbean, but ( hangs head in shame) i hate all forms of carnival. There I said it. Mi nuh care iff unnu noh like it. i hate calypso, i hate the bag o rag costume that look like tin foil and ride up sweaty cracks (skinny or thin) and the overly loud bass that gives you tinnitus and ting. over priced food you could get at home for free and it taste better too, But the worst thing, dutty nasty as s sweaty men trying to feel up on you rubbing they tings all on your booty like its cute, men/boys that you dont know or would never talk to in life... I signed up with one last week, though. I used to work for alot of them in London, and you have to stay up their as.s for them to remember to give YOU a job. I dont mind working for them, but there is no NHS in usa, I need benefits. Anyhoo worst comes to worse I'll do my time with em. Didn't realize you needed benefits - you can't get on hubbys? And in the US, temping isn't a dead end job - many, many companies (my own included) hire people on a temp to perm basis - it allows them to try someone for 3 months or so before extending benefits, etc.. - My company has a policy that people can temp for up to 5 months in a fiscal year, then they have to be hired as FT. Which reminds me to ask, anyone here got job tips because i have been looking at jobs and applying for two months ne'er one interview yet. I know i'll get it if I get an interview, I just need one. i hate having my husband have to work his #### off and me just stay home, we need two incomes, plus I'm used to the freedom of earning. I used to teach esl and literacy in london,but i have years of administrative work experience, I was even a prison librarian. Help anyone..
