Philippines	civil documents from the nso	i understand n thks for the responses so far,but what im trying understand n find out is this,what is exactly their interpetation of original?  my wife goes there to the nso and tells them at the nso,that she needs originals of our marriage certificate,her birth certificate,and both my stepdaughters birth certificates,which she has aleady sent me n i have already forwarded them to the nvc with their cover letters,but my question again is this  is that what the NVC and also the NSO  is that what they both consider ORIGINALS?Meaning the ones she got from the NSO?dont wanna get another check list,thats why im trying to make absolutely sure the ones she got directly from the NSO are what the NVC would consider originals?  thk you all for any help	louiep	Male	Philippines	2013-05-10 17:51:00

Philippines	Interview Date	hello my fellow vjr's, I found out from the NVC on May 23 of this month,that our three cases,my wife and two step daughters were complete!dancin5hr.gif smile.png  Of course we are very very happy for this!!! Thk God!!! Two n half weeks ago I had to respone to a checklist from the NVC,that wanted originals for our marriage certificate and their birth certificates,which by my mistake,sent them copies of the originals,so my dear wife went to the NSO and got two more originals of everything,as she had one set already for herself! She sent me these may 7th by dhl and I received them on may 10th,which I immediately sent to the NVC the same day by overnite us post office express mail! T he NVC received the package 8:10am that Monday morning on may 13th! Being me I didn't expect any response to this ryt away of course,but being me I started calling the NVC the next day! and everyday after that,and also checked for any email responses! Of course I was by some very nice people there always given the usual standard ansewers of 10 to 20 business days for a review n response to the checklist items I sent! but I kept calling just the same!!! When I called on may 22 of course the same thing,but this nice gentlemen at the nvc told me,that he can see that haven't reviewed it yet,just alittle moer time is needed! I said to him thk you very much,i know its close cause its been 7days at that point,n maybe by the tenth day we will hear something! Wow to my much joyful n wonderful surprise when I called the next day,in all three of our cases,that just that day that was calling,they had reviewed our checklist things we sent in response,and completed all three cases!!!!!!smile.png kicking.gif  This very nice women at the NVC also informed me that ,yes we will now be put in line for an interview date n interview,for the embassy in Manila,because of the young ages of my step daughters,among other things,they would try and make for as soon as possible! I can see myself ,that yes on the embassy website,it can be from one to three months till the actual interview,but I can see on here that the average is about 30days,some less some alittle more!!!  My one question ryt now,as we are very thkful already is,does any of my fellow vjr's especially ones from the Phil,have any idea or input when our interview may happen and when we might be informed by the NVC of our interview date???? thk u very very much for any help!!!! godbless everyones journeygood.gif	louiep	Male	Philippines	2013-05-29 02:40:00

Philippines	Interview Date	hello fellow vjr's of life family n love,,my question here is if someone can possably give some kind of idea,other than the standard of what it says on the USEM website about interviews,because I know somw what that is only a standard ansewer ryt?  I know they don't especially go by the priority date in our case,because we are Cr-1  and I know they schedule interviews all month long for the USEM in Manila,but since our case is complete as of may 23 2013,because of my simple but costly error of time of sending in copies instead of originals,which has now been corrected,thats why we now have case complete,but because of this,does anyone think they will now schedule us for interview soon because our priority date of july 5 2012 is now becoming close and they will at least schedule us for interview somewhere near this time of date ????  thk you very much in advance n godbless for any help	louiep	Male	Philippines	2013-05-27 21:52:00

Philippines	cemar	right now im sitting here shocked and also somewhat devastated!!!!!!!!!!!! reason being that for my wifes and my two stepdaughters cr-1 and cr-2 interview  on july 11 2013  that even though we have totally everything else needed,and I mean everything! im now seeing even though we have all the nso required documents as stated by the nvc before and also whats on the USEM website under what is needed and required for the interview,the nvc never mentioned this and after exstensively searching the USEM website,no where ever doe it mention that my wife would need a Cemar?it is totally and shockingly devesting  as is the interview is only 6days away  that now I see on here on vj from some cr-1 couples who were interviewed that this is asked for,even though its never ever mentioned anywhere on the embassy website in manila or required by the nvc in our cr-1 case to become documentionary qualified to have our interview and receive their visa's!!!! it seems to me like sort of a scam between the USEM in Manila and the NSO! To never mention this anywhere by the and on the USState Department website for whats needed for interview preparation and required documents and what additional documents are needed!!! Also its the same thing on the USEM Manila website,it is no where mentioned at all for cr-1 specific documents required for an interview at the USEM Manila embassy to have this Cemar,NO WHERE!!!!!!!! but yet I see on here that some cr-1 interviews it was asked for by the American counsler Whatttttttt    and when it wasn't available on hand these poor people had to go back to the NSO to apply to get taking more days and more money for the NSO and delay these poor people even further,as theve been waiting how long already through the whole process just to be a family and be together!!!!! I have respect and its very ok for me to have a Filippino sceener who first deals with you before being before the American counsler,as even im Italian/irish in my heart im Filippino,but please do not let me find out that it is the sceener who might even midly insist to the American counsler on their own particular whim,to the any particular person they choose to have this done,please do not let me find this to be true,because what makes me think this way some what  is some people are asked for this in a cr-1 interview and some are not!!!!!!!!And when see this im like whatttttttt  these are human beings who love each other  husband,wife and in some cases small children,and these two entitys are treating part of this process like its just a crapshoot to them,only to inform you at the very last second of something that was never ever mentioned as requirement to bring beforehand!!!!!!!!!!  unblieveably deveststed n angry,  only that this delay if there is one will strain stress n make my two young stedaughters cry n be alittle sad	louiep	Male	Philippines	2013-07-05 22:26:00

Philippines	Having all kinds of problems (Visa to Korea): US Military in Korea w/ Filipina wife and stedaughter in PI	hello first thk you for your service!!! First it is absolutely correct that you do NOT need any forms or documents as far as custody,it is absolutely correct that under Phil law that the mother has full and legal custody,as long as the mother was never married to the father,and can immigrate n travel with the child or children as long as they have valid passports and are under 21yrs of age!It doesn't matter at all that the father signed the birth certificate!!!Under Phil law and reconized by the US State Department ,the children immigrating to the US with their mother who is a spouse of a US citizen,the child or children,under the law automatically become the stepchild or step children of the US citizen spouse! As evidence,under the Affidavit of Support you had to submit in your process! Another words the contract between you(The US Citizen) and the US Government that you are responsable financially n so forth for your Spouse (your wife)and her child(your stepdaughter)  In my opinion,before goig to the Korean embassy in Manila,as you are Serving Military member and your wife and stepdaughter are Permenet Residents of the US,i would make an appointment to go the US embassy in Manila,see the person in charge of handling Affairs for Family Members who are serving acting duty Overseas,with the same evidence you would bring to the Korean Embassy,let them know of the problem in Chicago,and they could probley expediate this matter for you! Your welcome to look at my info on here as I went through some of the same!  godbless you	louiep	Male	Philippines	2013-06-16 20:24:00

Philippines	nso pasay and us embassy	hi my friends,forgive me if I kinda posted this question already,i mean this to everyone especially to you hank as I see you always try to be very helpful to everyone! if its ok I would please like to ask again to all my fellow vjr's in their experience and knowledge of our situation! my wife and stepdaughters had a successful interview july 11 being that my wife noticed the American counsler marked their cases approved,but at the end were instructed to go to window 62,and the person in window 62 gave her instructions how to go to the nso at Pasay to request her cenomar and that it would be delivered directly to the us embassy and to the American co who did their interview! my wife did this the next day after the interview,went to the nso in pasay and did everything according to the instructions given to her by the person in window 62,by the way my wife did ask and also happen to over hear some others going to do the same thing,that asking the person in window 62 when they might receive their visa's,they were all informed with a smile from this person at window 62 to go there in the nso in pasay do as instructed and wait for the visa's to be delivered to the address put on the 2go form!!! As in our case since my wife did this the day after the interview july 12 on Friday, what be reasonable or good estimation from the time she went on july 12 Friday to reasonably think that the visa;s will be issued and when to expect(estimate)of delivery to her address?Also received an email from our senators office ,with a copy of a response from the us embassy the day after the interview,to his office,as they had sent a personel signed letter from him ,1 week before the interview,supporting our interview and visa issuance!!of course we are very happy that we know we will get the visa's im just trying to nail done even a good estimate,from when my wife completed the instructions given her on july 12 at the nso in pasay till when the co at the embassy would receive the requested cenomar from pasay  and issuances of the visa's!sorry for the long post also also what im asking is that since she was instructed to request her cenomar at pasay?will they know from this since were already married,that they will send the embassy the right document,the cemar or advisory of marriage?  thk my friends for your understanding godbless	louiep	Male	Philippines	2013-07-13 19:21:00

Philippines	interview july 11 2013	hello fellow vjr's  first I would like to say thk you for all the replys,its been very helpful!!! heres how it stands ryt now for us as of ryt now were still in ap as the ceac website says. my wife went there  to pasay to get her cenomar as requested by the American counsler at her interview and was given instructions to do so.my wife went to pasay the day after on july 12 and exactly to the instructions requested her cenomar ,payed the fee and she was given a reference number and told by the person at the nso pasay to call n inquire back to them with her reference number to find out the results of her cenomar after 4days!these all weekdays of course! my wife called back on july 18th to inquire as instructed by the person at nso pasay! my wife was told that her cenomar is ready that they are just waiting for the liason from the embassy to pick it up on Friday the july 19th as the liason from the embassy always picks up documents for the counsler section every Friday!!! even though we have a good idea that it was picked up by the embassy,how would we know for sure?and what kind of time frame are we looking at that will have the visa's issued and out for delivery?  thk you in advance for any info and help!!!!!!!! godbless	louiep	Male	Philippines	2013-07-20 16:43:00
Philippines	interview july 11 2013	hello everyone,very happy to say that my wife and stepdaughters were approved for sure,the American counsel didn't say it,but she could see that he put approved on each of their case files,the only thing he told her and the girls to after it was over was to go to window 62,which she did! a nice women at window 62 told her because she didn't have her cenomar yet from the nso in quezon city,which my wife was told by the nso in quezon that it would be ready the same day as the interview,even though my wife showed the recit to pick it up the same day,the nice women told her that the American counsel will not use that one from quezon,but to go to nso in pasay wich the embassy has an agent there to directly deliver it to the embassy and after my wife does this the nice women in window 62 said just wait for your visa's to be delivered at your home address you gave on your 2go paper! As of yesterday my wife has already gone to the nso in pasay as instructed and has done exactly what she was instructed to do! we are wondering if anyone else on here has gone through this and when ,even at a good educated guess when the visa's might be delivered? my wife lives in Santa Mesa,metro manila! any input on this would be greatly appreciated! were very happy all four of us,lol but just one more wait to happen.  thk you my friends	louiep	Male	Philippines	2013-07-12 21:27:00
