@bds058.... What we are trying to point out is
there are chances that even after mid of March (march 15-17, they wont change the date...coz ...As I have also checked...there are hundreds of June 04 applications pending

and once they change date past June 04, they are gonna get hundreds of service request...
they might try to save that efforts by skipping the date change....until lots of june 04 applications are processed...

I fear this can happen....

Meh, sometimes USCIS doesn't care about there hard-to-ignore situations based on economy and such. All they want is you fit what they think is "legit" stereotype and fits the square hole that's been made back in God-knows-when.

Sigh, mine is 10 months in and still nothing. I've responded to RFE last September, all I got was a relocate to local office in October then nothing. I put in a SR 2 months ago and I heard nothing within their promised 60 days. Tomorrow I'm going to my N-400 bio, I'm just going to let them sort this BS out internally.

I've been waiting 7 months to get this letter :(. I'm so heart broken

Sorry to heard that i know how frustrating is this you can add like
2012 tax papers, photocopy of both of your state issue ID, both of yours pay slip that show same address, photocopy of social security if she carry your last name, bills with both of your name electric,gas, water any other bill.
what about the lease or property paper, credit card under both of your names ,life insurance, health insurance , any state document that shows either one of your or both of your name and make sure when you send document it should cover the whole marriage time and yes and some family pictures

I wouldn't worry about not being able to have children for lifting of conditions, that's not a requirement for
adjustment of status. Send everything else as they ask including IRS transcripts, banks statements, insurance etc.

Guys, I just looked at my own copy of the DS-160 I mailed in awhile ago (which was approved, btw) and it has my passport number but for my passport "book" number I apparently chose DOES NOT APPLY. Although when I look at my passport I clearly do have a passport book number. I don't know why I didn't enter it. Will this cause any problems?

I will do the same for packet 4 too and schedule my interview appointment right after that.

As for your question “The password book Number” I think you will be ok. Alots of people here said that they did the samething by selecting “Does not apply” for that field.

Thanks for replying.

No didn’t call DOS and I’m not sure if Montreal has sent packet 3, but my fiancée has received the MTL case number from the NVC in May. The problem was that we didn’t know that we could get the forms from the consulate’s website and send them without receiving the packet 3.

You’re right, the mail strike might held up, but after waited more than 2 months without packet 3, I started searching for more information and I found out that I could complete the forms and send them to Montreal instead of waiting the packet 3.

Do I still need to find out if packet 3 was sent or since I have the MTL case number we’re allowed to submit the forms without receiving the hard copy?

Another problem we're facing is that, the petition expires on august 24th, 2011.

My petition was approved back in May 3rd, but still I have not received my packet 3 from Montreal consulate office. Since there is expiration on this thing, someone told me to just go a head, get the forms from the website and submit to the consulate.

After going through the Instructions for Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, I noticed that Section 3 has a clause that says "joint savings and checking accounts with transaction history".

 

The issue with your friend's case might have been that both names were not on the account; therefore, length of any document as a prove of evidence will have less effect.

 

Here is the complete section 3 of the instructions.

 

  1. Financial records showing joint ownership of assets and joint responsibility for liabilities, such as joint savings and checking accounts with transaction history, complete joint Federal and State tax returns, insurance policies that show the other spouse as the beneficiary, joint utility bills, or joint installment or other loans, if applicable, submit copies of military Leave and Earnings Statements showing receipt of Basic Allowance for Quarters (BAQ) with family member(s) and/or form DD-1172 for military family member identification card(s);

Hello VJyers.

 

I am about to file my ROC in the next couple of days and I have a question.

When it comes to bank statements, do I have to send all of the monthly statements since we opened the joint account (29 monthly statements) or can I just send the first month?s statement (Jan 2012) and the last two months statements.  Each statement is about 6 ? 8 pages, and I?m not sure if it will fit in a regular envelope.  Same things with our credit cards statements as well.

Some other April filers also mentioned that they didn't receive Biometrics appointment; and when they contacted the Service Centers, they were told that their last biometrics was still valid and they didn't need to submit a new one.  No one knows if this is a new policy or not, but check the April and May filers threads for further info.

 

I would also suggest you to contact your Service Center for confirmation.

When or how do I get a tracking number for the GC? What carrier is it? UPS? I know I have read posts about it but I can't find any right now. Thank you everyone for the wonderful support and information on this site. Now on to English classes and citizenship.

 

Chiquitavaliente, as you have already posted this message on your approval notice

 

"On July 30, 2014, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

 

You'll get your card in 30 days; most likely in a week or two.

 

They will mail your card through USPS (US Postal Service priority mail), but you won't receive any tracking number, just like when you received your conditional card two years ago.

 

Just be patient and stop worrying since your request has been approved.

That is correct, unless you receive RFEs, then you must follow any instructions given to you.

The process of Removing Condition on your GC can take up to a whole year; hopefully you'll get a quick approval. Good luck

Well after reading your last post,i realize why you felt this way about the whole situation,i mean no one will just let go after going back and forth trying to make things work initially and someday realize that it all worthless and full of betryaI...Trully in my heart i can feel your pains as if it was happening to me for real...i truly know how it feels to go through such betrayal....Just do what you feel is best...I will be checking back to see the outcome of the case and i pray the result turns out the way you want so as to enable you move pass this stage of your life....Hold on more for other Vj membrs to suggest on the best way for you to follow it up with the process...Once again,Take out time and rebuild your heart okay.I wish you the best.

Well you had made the mistake initally by not knowing her too well befor getting married to her.Right now,i think you should just focus on the child you had and give him or her the best and and not let this worry you so much becouse there is little or nothing you can do at this point

I said this becouse your story showed that she is now a permanent residence with no conditions,meaning that she have her 10 years greencard ,There is less or even nothing you can do about that at thispoint....Beisdes she has the right to divorce you if she feels the marriage is not working out for her.Moreso, Even if you want to go on with the issue of her not been a citizen,How well can you prove that to USCIS and the immigration Judge that she didnt actually marry you for love,Were you said you both had a baby together and That means maybe she was in love with you and maybe things didnt fall the way she wanted,she decided to move on with her life.....People get divorce everyday becouse of one thing or the other and am sorry if yours fail for any reason dosent really mean she didnt loved you at the beginning and wants out becouse she feel she can do better than you......Is just nothing you can do to prove this at this point....... Besides She can choose not to applyfor Citizenship and that wont even affect her in anyway....Been a US citizen is not a must,Is by choice,As far as you are a greencard holder with no condition....The person has the legal right to live here as long as he or she wants becouse i myself know alot of people that are permanent residence for over 20 years and still live and work legally,All they do is renew there greencard at every 10 years piror to the expiration.......So,She just need to keep renewing it every 10 years even if she is still married or not married to you.....Thank God she didnt even take you to court requesting for child custody...Some people would even do that,You would just have yourself struggling to keep the baby....

So My suggestion is just try to focus on rebuilding your life and giving your baby the best.....And not worry with the immigration. Let God take care of this for you...Maybe is even better for you that way than living with her...Things happen in our life for reasons and for us to learn from it okay...Try to be happy,There is more to life than having this worries....But anyway...Have others advice you more on this....All i said is just a suggestion and am sorry things turn out this way for you....if you search up all my cotents,i know i have talked about this at some point where i was trying to advice on people knowing there spouse very well befor jumping in to immigration issue becouse theere is so much more to marriage than just dating on online and over the mobile...

I hope my great Vj people will learn from people experinece and be more careful...am not saying my marriage is the best but Thank God i married a woman that at some point knows a little bit of my culture piror on us been on the same roof...It help us to adjust to our new life,Change on little ways we can and accept those ones we cant change and learn to live with it....That is just how i see it

I visited 3 times while our K1 was processing, and I just brought proof that we were trying to be together the legal way, and that we are going to end up in America, and not the UK.. I used my NOA1, NOA2, and a copy of the earnest money deposit we use to put an offer on a house. I've never had any problems.

My fiance just signed a lease for an apartment and the landlady said they may need to do a small background check on me before they can allow me to be a partner lease on the flat. I dont think she realises I have just been through the K1 visa process with the American Government and am more than accustomed to a "small background check"!

 

 

 

Haha, seriously!! Maybe you should save her some time and just send her a copy of your police report to show you're not a criminal. haha

I would only advise that he bring very strong ties. It is different with him coming into the US, rather than you trying to get into the UK.. He is eventually wanting to live permanently in the country, so a customs officer might see his visit as him assuming your visa will be approved while he is there. That could be an issue. Have his employer write a letter stating he will be returning to work, as proof of ties. You might also think to show the NOA1, so that he can show he is trying to enter the country, but is taking the necessary steps to do so in a legal manner.

I do not think there are MORE opportunities in the US.  I think the countries are too economically equal for there to be some unilateral comparison.
 
I think Owen's post (above mine here) best describes what I think. 
 
I know that everyone in my husband's circle (at the time he moved to the US) felt he would be better off in the US.  Many people from other countries still believe our streets are paved with gold.






I understand that people may not feel there are more opportunities in America, but like I said, we are all at different points in our lives. Something I may see as an opportunity may be something you might never consider. But, for two people in their early twenties, when we consider the things that are important to us, such as starting our lives, beginning careers, and buying a home, America wins out. Especially because we will be living in the midwest, financially we could not say no. The cost of living in England is twice as much as it is here.

I've found quite a few people tried to put doubt in my mind and try and make me feel guilty but I've put that down to jealousy as the ones doing that are people I'm not particularly close to .

As for my friends my inner circle mainly consists of Americans anyway based over here in the air force who worked along side my fiance before he left so of course they think it's great I'm going to live in their country haha .

I have a real small family being a only child plus an only grandchild and I can't help but feel guilty for leaving but they both love my fiance and are happy for me .

I did want to keep things quiet about me leaving and just tell a select few as every day at work I get the " are u still here?!?!" "Have you not left yet" "thought u were leaving " sarcastic comments every day thanks to my boss who  thought he would inform the whole built of my news when I told him 

 

Just tell those people that you'd be gone if you could be!! They must be teaming up with the embassy to keep you in England!!
