Just pay more for security, and it will be well worth the cost when you receive your mail in a few days instead of worrying about it for a few months. National Visa Center (Dept of State)	NVC- Processing Time	The wait times with NVC vary. I honestly believe it depends on how active they are feeling. I didn't receive my choice of agent letter until 6 weeks after my case was entered into their system. I actually printed the form from online and had it ready to go when the actual form the NVC arrived. The only thing you can do is keep calling. The things you will recieve extremely fast are fee bills. They'll come so fast you'll swear they were delivered by courier service. Tiana Hi Everyone Anyone assist I got approved my case at USCIS @ California SC on 02/06/07. I checked automated message at NVC NH , it says case doesn't exist, however I called Person told me that the case had been entered into their computer ant told me to wait 60 days. How come! I sent my I-130 on 6-3-2006 and it was approved three months later. Mine went to the California service center though, so you may want to find people who's cases were filed at the same center as you. K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	TOTALLY FKD OVER	I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you are having with your case. I'm sure everyone here knows exactly how you feel right now. This waiting game is frustating, stressful, and draining. I pray that you stay encouraged, and not let this stop you. I filed for my husbands (CR-1) in June of last year, and it took precisely 13 months. I don't think you would have to wait 14 more months with your case, especially since your CR-1 is already approved. That's half the battle right there. My husband tried about two and a half weeks ago and he was denied. It wasn't because our case was awaiting scheduling, but because he couldn't prove strong ties to return to his country. Still, it was worth a shot. The very next day I found out that he had been scheduled for an interview so I really didn't care then. I wish you the best! US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	after the interview then what?	They would've told your fiance he was denied right there at the interview. If they kept his passport they are issuing the visa. It's standard procedure for them to tell you not to buy your ticket until your get your passport back. You have to check the visa to make sure they didn't make any mistakes with it before they give it back. If they've made a mistake and you've bought a ticket you will be out of some money. Our embassy paperwork said that if we do not have all our w2's and copies of our tax returns for the last 3 years that we need to request a printout from the IRS, and that it must come with an official stamp from the IRS office. Does anybody know if this comes standard on these printouts, or if it is something we have to specially request? i called and requested my last 3 years today on the irs automated phone message. She's colombian and i'm american. the interviewer was really nice and approved us no problem. One thing he said, however, confused me. He said when we go for the final interview in guayaquil, only she is doing the interview. I was under the impression the final interview is where they take us separately and ask us personal questions about the other person and our home. He said I don't have to be there at all. When I went to the embassy to turn in the paperwork the lady just stapled it to the 325 and there was no problem. K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Error Found on G325	Probably not a big deal. I just submitted my I-130 and G-325's on Thursday at the embassy in quito, ecuador. I had too many previous jobs to fit on the application, so I made another sheet on excel and didn't put any zip codes on that extra sheet. They didn't say anything, and our petition was approved. I have already received the transcripts from the IRS when I called the 800 number and went through the automated system, and I didn't speak to a real person. I just want to be overly prepared for the interview, and would like to know if anybody could tell me if these will be acceptable, and if they're the same transcripts that you request on the IRS form 4506-T? Do you think color printouts of pictures would be as good as actual duplicate photos made? 2. Were your sworn affidavits from friends notarized? I just feel bad making my friends go thru all this stuff with us. How many affidavits did you have? And what does it mean on the I-751 instructions when it says, "Affidavits must be supportted by other types of evidence listed above"? 3. I notice our office's address is a PO Box. How do you get a tracking number for a PO box? 4. What can we expect in terms of an interview, i.e. do they put us in separate rooms, etc? And how long before we're notified of the interview? China	Gifts to the bride's family	Wow this was a very sore point for us. I thought that tradition of symbol was very good, but in the end the parents weren't too thrilled with my amount. Since I was not buying an apartment etc in China I did give a large amount to my wife's account and that may never see the way back to us as the daughter having to take care of the parents is deep imbedded in her heart.
