Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	JUNE 2010 FILERS	Hello, I've been hanging around the forum but haven't posted in a long time. I wanted to give our updates for removing my husband's conditions as I know this helps with the accuracy of the timelines...can someone please add me to the list? This is copied right from my cover letter. • Completed form I-751 • Check for $545.00 ($465 application fee and $80 biometrics fee) • Copy of Sandra’s Green Card, front and back • Copy of Sandra’s SSN card and driver’s license • Lease agreement for our apartment (signed first by me, then by my wife after she entered the country) and lease renewal (1 page) • Tax returns for 2006 and 2007 and tax stimulus payment notice addressed to both of us • Bank statements of our only 2 bank accounts (both joint), Chase and Capital One • Paperwork for our 2005 Kia Spectra including memorandum title showing joint ownership of the vehicle • Copy of our Geico Auto Insurance policy in both our names • Letter showing Sandra as beneficiary on my Vanguard brokerage account • Letter showing Sandra as beneficiary on my Scottrade brokerage account • Credit card statements showing both our names including photocopies of credit cards (2 accounts submitted, account ending in 0222 has since been closed FYI) • Copies of our Sprint cellular phone bill and printout of our web profile showing family plan with both our names (Sprint’s monthly statement does not show both our names, this is why I submitted this as well) • Statements of my employer’s 401k plan showing Sandra as beneficiary • Printout of my Nationwide employee benefits page showing Sandra as a dependent on medical and dental plans • Copies of medical and dental claims made by Sandra, further proving her as dependent on my employer’s medical and dental plans • Photocopy of Anthem Medical card with my name on it (they do not provide cards for dependents’ names but you will note the account number XXXXXX matches that on claim statements previously mentioned) • Email of Nationwide employee profile, showing Sandra as my primary emergency contact. • 2 sworn affidavits, submitted by close friends Douglas Howard Geyer and A. Bill Goshorn, attesting to our marriage • Documents of our trip to Colombia in 11/2006 including photos • Documents of our Caribbean cruise we took in 8/2007 including electronic confirmations, room receipts, Captain’s club membership, electronic flight confirmation, and pictures of the trip • Documents of our trip to New York City in 4/2008 including photos • Documents of our trip to Boston in 5/2008 including photos • E-confirmation of our upcoming trip to Washington State in 8/2008 where we will be visiting my family • Several other photos to further support our marriage (around 30). It sounds like you have done a great job with your paperwork, wishing you the best of luck!!!! I didn't send nearly half of what I should have. I sent the I-715 in before I found Visa Journey, so that says it all. I had sent copies of bank statements, copies of drivers licenses, car titles, car insurance, lease agreements, copies of my green card, copies of passports, and some other stuff I can't remember right now. My big mistake was that I did not have everything organized and made easy for USCIS, so I fully understand why they sent me a RFE. This was all my own fault for not paying attention. On the bright side, they gave me a second chance to do it right this time Wow, to me that sounds like you included a lot of stuff the first time around. But I think half the trick is thinking like a reviewing official, like you said, how easy it is for them to go through the stuff you sent in. I think I might have over-orgainzed, I paperclipped everything that went together so the left side of the stack is way higher than the right side because of all the paperclips. Do you know about how long it takes to receive that notice? Haven't gotten it yet, going out of town for a week this Friday, would like to have an idea when it might get here. If I were you, I would wait for transcripts - eliminate the possibility that the transcript submitted after the NOA does not get filed with the rest of the application - they are dealing with huge loads of paperwork. If your cond. permanent resident card is expiring within this week, yes I would file with the PDF to avoid late filing. I think we'll be OK, the window just opened meaning we're 90 days away from the expiration. I just wanted to get stuff sent out and done asap. I just file them on the ohio.gov website and they dont' send me a hard copy or anything. If we have our federal returns for the last 2 years, how important do you think these really are? I just want to get everything sent off ASAP and not have to wait for more stuff in the mail. We have every other kind of proof you can imagine. What do you think?? Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	conditional card received - my husban is trying to deport me	I don't think there's anything wrong with a divorce where the non-American spouse wants to stay in the U.S. afterwards -As long as the marriage WAS entered into with good faith and the divorce happened for legitimate reasons. When you think about it, in most cases the non-American leaves everything behind to move to this country. If he/she establishes a life here, has a job, friends, assets, kids, etc, then this is his/her new home. If they want to stay, they should have every right to, and the USCIS says that too. I think it's just harder to prove that the marriage was real in divorce situations than the ones who have stayed together, sadly. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	Anyone on here done the Biometrics appointment yet?	Hello, Do you know if it is OK for me to go with my wife to her biometrics appointment? On the appointment notice it says "Due to limited seating availability in our lobby area , only persons who are necessary to assist with transportation or completing the biometrics worksheet should accompany you". I want to be there to make sure everything gets filled out correctly, since my wife's English is good but not 100%. Hello, We recently sent our ppwk off to the CSC due to the May change in service centers (before that it would have been Nebraska since we're in Ohio) Anyway, got our NOA and biometrics appointment notice no problem, but on our biometrics letter under Service Center it says WSC? Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	Application number vs. Receipt number	Hello, I just noticed that on our original NOA of receiving our ppwk there is a "Receipt number" which is different than the "application number" on our biometrics appointment notice. Both start with WAC. neither are available online. On the sheet we filled out today at the appointment we put the number that was on the appointment notice. Any idea which one's right?? Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751	We were in the same predicament because we got married in Ecuador and my wife couldn't change her name down there for the first round of paperwork. So they told us when we applied for the 751 we can submit a name change request then. We just needed to submit a marriage document with a letter of instruction, then the new green card will come with her married name. Then from there you can change the SSN card and license, etc. The green card is seen as the governing document that even tells SSN what to do. I got all this info from the USCIS call center. If you're going to be the one receiving any correspondence and not going to be absent from your address, then you don't need to put anything there. I just put N/A in that box. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	Should sponsor use married or maiden name on I-751?	Hi, My wife and I are in that same situation right now. We got married and did all the original filing in Ecuador, and they don't really do name changes down there, so we submitted everything with her maiden name. Then when she got her and got her conditional green card, we called INS and they said she can officially change it when we do the 751. Since the green card is the governing document that tells the DMV and Social Security what to use, that needs to be done first. They say you could also do it any other time using a form (I-91 maybe??) but you have to pay for a new green card, like several hundred dollars. We just decided to wait till the I-751 and do it then to save all that money. Hope this helps you. Once your $88.00 Affidavit of support fee shows as "PAID" on the website you will be able to print the barcoded coversheet at the bottom of the page. This usually takes a day or two to update. Once it shows "PAID" print it out and send in the AOS package documents. Your next step will be to wait until the IV bill is generated. Hopefully your spouse has sent them the email designating you as their agent. Once they accept your email they will generate the IV invoice for you. Are you sure the case was sent on Oct 13? You asked multiple operators about the date? My cases tracking reference was dated almost a week before NVC says it was sent. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Embassy will allow USC at interview	I emailed the Embassy in Tbilisi Georgia to clarify some information about our upcoming interview. I had seen mixed answers on whether I would be permitted to attend the interview with my hubby. Today I received a response saying that I am welcome to join him for the entire interview! Just be sure to bring my full passport to ensure admittance! What a relief! I was so hoping I would not have to send him alone! Also the email stated that a few days before our actual interview my hubby will be asked to come to the embassy with all documents to be sure everything will go smoothly on interview date! We DS3032 or AOS bill has NOT been generated yet and our case has been at NVC for 8 days now I have seen others have their DS3032 and AOS genereated in 2-3 days. When I call NVC I am told it takes them 4-6 weeks which I know is not true as members on VJ have completed NVC in 11-15 days. NVC is going Green and doing everything by email now....instead of it being a faster process it seems to have slowed everything down. Anyone else in the same boat??? This is so frustrating My case number assigned March 5 and nothing since. automated message says wait 6-8 weeks for lawyer to be contacted by NVC. I don't have to do the 3032 because I have the lawyer but operator says the company line wait 6-8 weeks until the paper information is mailed out, but hey let them assign my email address to the case.
