You need to talk to a lawyer familiar with maintaining residency issues.

That is your first issue.

For facts I have been using non US Media, the Drive By's are well the Drive By's.

Does beg the question as to why the US Media is so poor, one thing I was not expecting.

So they were being racist against Caucasians. What race were they not that it really matters.

The was you had phrased it I has assumed something different.

IF Lanza had survived and IF there had been a possibility he was not a lone wolf then the same issues would have applied.

The Constitution is a collection of words open to interpretation, the Miranda case clarified that interpretation, it is of course open to reinterpretation, but that would no doubt be an issue for the Supreme Court should they deem to hear it.

You might want to do a search on Living Constitution.

And Birthright Citizenship.

Also see the recent attempts to redefine the Second Amendment.

Miranda is not an absolute, an exception exists in case of public safety.

In the Lanza case we now know he was a loner, that may not have been an initial known so your conclusion may well be false.

It would appear that neither was born in Kurdistan or actually lived in Kurdistan.

I certainly would be fascinated to see their Asylum or Refugee claim and how it compares with the facts.

Would not surprise me if this never comes to light.

The reasons are pretty obvious, one of the advantages of the common use of social media.

Good fences make good neighbours.

I thought it was only the guy they caught who naturalised, amusingly on 911 last year.

As fas as the Parents are concerned neither can speak English, seems the mother is a bit of a nutter and would be arrested on theft charges is she sought to return.

US Citizenship General DiscussionHave you ever committed a crime or offense for which you were not arrested?

It won't be suspicious. There are plenty who haven't committed crimes.

I haven't as far as I know.

You do not drive I take it.

You absolutely need to be honest. But if you are a honest and tell them that you were a druggy, they will deny your N-400 faster than a speeding bullet. I would presume you had to disclose your criminal history at an earlier stage of the immigration process already. So you lied back then, committed material misrepresentation? That, too, is a reason to kick your sorry *&% out of the United States.

So tell the truth, but keep the sh*t you did as a kid for yourself.
:bonk:

He has no criminal history, he is asking about the impossible to answer truthfully N400 question.

Well unless you are a babe in arms.

And involve the US Gov

The I9 used to say are you a Citizen or xxxxx. National I think, so they could not get people who had ticked that box as claiming to be a national is no biggie. The I9 now just says Citizen.

US Citizenship General Discussionhusband said "its not necessary to be a citizen"

Has the OP even been back? In any case, it is not your husband's decision to make, it is yours, and yours only. As Harpa mentioned, you will need a good understanding of the English language, reading writing and speaking, as you will be tested on it.

And why exactly did you not bring your children with you to begin with, and how old are they? Before my husband and I decided on settling in the US, we discussed the possibility of my moving to his country, but if I had moved to Jordan I wouldn't have been able to bring my children, and there was no way in Hell I would have moved away from my children, EVER. I am not judging your decision, I do not know your circumstances, but I think you should have thought about bringing your children from the very start.

Perhaps they are grown up?

Lol, Boiler is being sarcastic.  I mention the English requirement because she said herself her skills are very low.  She is not over 79 or whatever so it still applies to her.

Moi?

The English language requirement for Naturalisation is minimal, most Americans could pass it.

US Citizenship General DiscussionAny one experienced a similar situation?

This is such a life-changing event,
so I suggest you travel, leave yer domicile, 3 days in advance,
with snow chains in the trunk, or snow tires mounted,
2 10 gallon jugs of gas in the trunk,
snowshoes in the trunk,
heavy duty supercold winter garmets,
and 1000 in cash to pay for any emergencies and overnight hotels.

and, when you get to the city, get a hotel within walking distance of the USCIS office.

Also a great idea to purchase AAA yearly trip-assistance, at the HIGHEST LEVEL, in case you need to be towed.

Failing all that, I'd seek a bus, leave the day before the interview, first thing in the morning.

Studded snow tires or regular ones?

Reminds me I need to dig out my chains.
