IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsInhumane

A normal turn around would be a month if it was not for delays, which I think most people would accept.

Obviously if there was a will it could happen, there is not.

I am sure if your local Congress person had a financial stake  in the process things would be different,

It is a Family Reunification visa so you need to show US domicile, not residence.

One set of rules, many interpretations.

Do you have a visitor visa or is South Africa in the Visa Waiver Program?

I do not know if you can DCF in South Africa but he would need to move back if you want and can go that route.

Do you have a US Visitor Visa?

CR/1 etc seems to be about a year. Difficult to say at the moment, a lot of political issues could impact that.

K3's go back to when the process was several years, they take the same sort of time so are administratively closed. CR/1 is a better bet.

You contract should specify the services provided, my guess is that it did not include regular updates. If it did they you have a cause to complain.

Hi everyone!! I had my interview yesterday with the Cherry and Ivy and we made it good.gif . It was quite tough though, because you just don't know what would the pre- screener and the consul would ask you. I would like to personally thank Rachelle (James and Rachelle) for her support throughout the day. She was the one who took charge of our mobile phones and stayed outside the embassy for hours while we were inside because this piece of gadget is not allowed inside. She is such a wonderful girl. Also, Danny and I would like to thank our VJ Family for your all out support. From the bottom of our heart, THANK YOU SO MUCH and GOD bless each and every one of you.

Lastly, we give all the honor and glory to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for His tremendous blessings and unending guidance in our relationship. Indeed...He is truly our matchmaker and plan all of this. Danny and I would always tell each other that we never expected to find one other 10,000 miles away. I thought i'd stay single for the rest of my life and Danny as well, until the good Lord opened our hearts. We owe this to Him. As the song goes..."God will make a way..when there seems to be no way...He works in ways we cannot see...God will make a way for me.."

To those who are still waiting for their interview...Good Luck and God Bless.

kath & Danny

HI LIL BOOGER! YAH I AGREE TO THE OTHER VJ'ers HERE... BASE ON MY EXPERIENCE I DID WORK IN JAPAN FOR 1YEAR AND I DIDNT KNOW 1 WEEK BEFORE MY INTERVIEW THAT I NEED TO GET A POLICE CLEARANCE. MINE TAKE 2 MONTHS TO HAVE IT , THEN WHEN I GOT THE POLICE CLEARANCE ON HAND, SUBMIT IT TO USA EMBASSY.. I WAIT 5 WEEKS TO HAVE MY VISA... IT TAKE ALONG JOURNEY FOR US TO GET HERE... SO IF I WERE YOU ... TRY TO GET A REQUEST LETTER IN THE USA EMBASSY BEFORE YOUR INTERVIEW ...BEFORE YOU CAN GET THE REQUEST SLIP IN SAINT LUKE BUT FOR SOME REASON THEY MOVE IT TO US EMBASSY ,JUST TELL THE GUARD THAT YOU NEED A REQUEST SLIP FROM USA EMBASSY FOR JAPAN POLICE CLEARANCE BEFORE YOUR INTERVIEW... THE CONSUL WILL ASK YOU FOR THAT...

Since you stayed and worked there for 6 months, it is advisable that you get a police clearance from Japan. Better have it as early than be sorry. blush.gif

Hello there.. thank you for the adviced.. but now i am more confused coz my sister told me (she is at japan right now working) that they will not give me a police clearance there coz i dont stay that long there and i am not a citizenship. She told me that even other talent working there dont have a police clearance coz they just stayed 6 months... and that exact 6 months we had to leaved Japan anyway.

But thank you anyway for the help and information.... God Bless!!!

I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN ABOUT TALENT.. YES I AM A TALENT TOO... I STAY TWICE 6 MONTHS IN JAPAN ... YES THEY WONT GIVE YOU P. CLEARANCE BUT IF YOU HAVE THE REQUEST LETTER FROM THE USA EMBASSY AND SUBMIT IT TO JAPAN EMBASSY THERE IN PHILIPPINE THEY WILL GIVE YOU THE P.CLEARANCE.. THATS WHY YOU NEED TO GET THE REQUEST LETTER FROM THE USA EMBASSY... BUT IF YOUR NOT IN A HURRY AND YOU CAN WAIT TILL YOUR INTERVIEW. IF THEY ASK FOR IT... THEY WILL GIVE YOU THE REQUEST LETTER... THEN WAIT FOR ABOUT ANOTHER 3 MONTHS... THAT IS ONLY MY ESTIMATE..
