dont worry, the doctor will just peek on her blink blink....she needs to answer the questions honestly too, because the doctor is testing wether your telling the truth or not. Those shots are more hurtful than when the doctor will check her up so tell her not to worry.

PhilippinesInterview on September 10........ Co sponsor?????

Hello Thanks for posting your experience and congratulations o your approval! Wedding bell is ringing now, so best wishes!

BTW, I also have the same problem with my fiance's 2012 income reaching the income requirement on his ITR he got $28,844 but the 125% requirement for four household is $29,437 since he is petitioning me and my 2 kids that's why it makes it four. But he doesn't have any savings at the moment and likely no assets and we might not be able to get a joint sponsor. I am worried because our interview is coming soon next month. Please give me advice on what to do and i hope you could help me. God bless...

That's their new ruling sis..When I went for an interview at the USEM,they asked for my passport so don't worry.. :)

hello everyone. I just finished my 2days medical and vaccinations..Im just wondering why they gave me my passport. From what i read they are the one who will forward the results and my passport to US embassy. But im not the only one who got passport back, including the lady i met that day having her k1 also..When i asked them why he gave me my passport, he said that i will need it for entering the embassy...

Did anyone got their passport back after medical??

PhilippinesGot an affordable tickets for my Parents
Hi J.W! I wanna ask if the taxes are already included in the whole fare? Thanks!

Finally, we were able to convince our parents to come here earlier than April. Got them tickets for PHP 31,000 each Cebu - Nashville that's $720.93 ~ round off $721 each. March 11 is the flight date.   The itinerary is CBU-MNL-SAN FO-CHI-NASHVILLE.

St. Raphael quoted us $770 each but we found a travel agency there in Cebu, they gave my parents the first time immigrant discount too.

Contact Info is this:

Debalucos Travel & Tours Services
2nd Floor Causing-Lozada Bldg.

Email Address: debalucosintltraveltours@yahoo.com

Ask for Loida, that's the owner of the travel agency. She works before on DFA, my parents know her when she was still single and she's also the one who process my sister's passport before. So when they went there on DFA to have their seminar, they saw the Debalucos agency just beside it so they went inside and found out Loida owned it.

So if anyone here in Cebu wanting to get an affordable and competitive price for their ticket, why not give the Debalucos Travel Agency a call.

Also Grand Hope Travel Agency quoted them $735 (PHP 31,600). Not much difference on the price. So you might try them too. I'll put their contact # later, I don't have it right now.

San ka attend ng CFO girl? I attended it sa St.Mary's. You just need to bring your passport with visa. Have them photocopied. Pero I tell you,ang mahal magpa-xerox don. 7 pesos per page ata un.Kaya much better magdala ka na ng photocopy ng passport and ng visa mo. I also brought some pics with me pero they didn't ask for it naman. Pero dala ka na rin just in case magtanong sila.

PhilippinesCheating
Ok so I realize that my SO is not from PI BUT I saw this when it was in OT and I was reading....anyway here I am and I have somehting to contribute.... are ya ready for it? Here goes...

Oprah did some shows about this cheating, it was focus on men BUT the same reasons generally apply to both genders...believe it or not...it is NOT usually about the sex, but the cheater is usually feeling taken for granted or does not feel that they are paid enough attention. Hence the need to lok for the spark of a new romance the thrill of the chase. I am not saying that "bored" is an excuse but she really could have just been bored. Is she working? What kinds of activities does she have to keep her occupied while the husband is away working? There really is so much underlying reason\emotion that goes with cheating that we dont realize, it is not usually about the sex. When I heard all of the discussions about the reasons why people cheat, I did kind of see it from thier point of view and understand. NOT that I think any of the reasons are valid to me, but I can see how they got to that place.

OK I am done...I think...

Philippinesproof of ongoing relationship and i-129f petition
well, my fiance just sent one picture of us with the i129f and we were approved.

the proofs i brought during the interview were a few printed copies of our e-mails and our scrapbook. and we were also approved.

so i thinkyou just have to prove you met during the petition application. and then prove that you have an ongoing bona fide relationship during the interview.

I'm here in Arizona. Still waiting for my work permit. I'm reviewing for a professional certification right now. The certification is recognized here in the US smile.gif

Most of my engineering friends are taking their masters and PhDs here, some in scholarship, others from their own pocket. Some got a job here after schooling. smile.gif

not there yet but my bebe will be going here next month to pick me up. blush.gif we'll be living in Longmont, Colorado.

when do you plan to take the exam for professional certification? where are you reviewing?

It has a testing center here in Arizona. I did my review from Ateneo, Makati. I'm using skillsoft for my online review now. Plan to take the exam ASAP.

If you plan to take masters here, you can take GRE and Teofl. Then apply for scholarship.

Thanks for the info.
And God Bless on your exam.

the CO who interviewed me is not an african-american CO but a young white male. i was interviewed and approved on a friday and i was completely expecting that i will have my visa by middle of the following week. but i didn't. so i was kinda worried too and i was like really down but my bebe said that i should just be calm and that we have hurdled one of the hardest part. sure enough, my visa came before the end of the 10th day from the interview.

i know it's hard when you're the one waiting but just calm down, be positive and give some encouragement to your fiancee. you should both be happy and celebrating and not fretting about things you can't control.

hi... i saw your post kasi. while i don't have stepkids nor kids of my own, i am a volunteer pre-school teacher in my church's Sunday School. so i have some training with dealing with kids. this is just my opinion on the matter and i hope it will be helpful.

you said that the kids will say yes when you remind them or give them instructions. however, they won't do it when it's time to do it. it is possible that they are the visual learners type. meaning they need to see something to remind them of what they need to do.

during one seminar, the speaker (who is a child psychologist and a mother) said that she used to get frustrated whenever her kids don't do what they are supposed to do even when they are properly instructed. so she observed them and tried something. she decided to put written instructions on places that her kids will see and where chores are to be made. like in the CR, she put a note saying "Flush the Toilet after using" and sure enough the kids doesn't need verbal reminder about it anymore. so that's when she realized that her kids are visual learners. aside from visual learners, there are kids who are auditory learners - the one who gets instructions and remembers them when they hear it while other kids are kinesthetic learners - the one who gets instructions when they are made to do the things while the instructions are being given.

as it is, your stepsons are not auditory learners, they are either visual or kinesthetic. since they are already in school, i assume they can read already. maybe you can try putting notes or making them do the instructions you gave them just so they will remember.

it's not yet late to train them and it's not bad to discipline them even if they are not your own. i think your hubby would even appreciate it coz he would see that you care enough for his kids. plus, once they are trained to do things, you will have less burden on your back. yes.gif yes.gif

also, don't hesitate to talk to your hubby about such things "just to keep the peace". believe me, your own health is at stake here so take care of yourself, talk to your hubby. and God Bless.

I was wondering kasi about this. What middle name is everyone using after they got married to their USC hubby?
Are you using your maiden surname as your middle name just like what is the usual Philippine practice? or do you retain your middle name (which is your mother's maiden surname)?

I am confused by this.

Thanks.

if your name is Maria Santiago Evangelista nung dalaga ka pa
it will be Maria Evangelista Smith when you get married the mother's maiden name is always dropped when a woman got married

PhilippinesUSUAL QUESTIONS DURING K-1 INTERVIEW
during my interview, CO asked the following:

1. What is my name and when is my birthday?
2. Who is my petitioner?
3. How did we meet? And since I answered online, he asked what website and type of website it is.
4. Have we me each other in person? How many times, when and where?
5. Have i ever been married? Do i have children?
6. Has my fiance ever been married or have children?
7. Where does my fiance live?
8. How did he propose? When i described how, the CO looked excited and asked id he could see my engagement ring. blush.gif blush.gif
9. What do we plan to do once i get there already?
10. How many kids do we want?

Then some other trivial questions while he's looking at our pictures. We were just like having a normal conversations. and then he said i should call my fiance and tell him the good news coz he's approving my visa.

So, i hope this will help you prepare for your interview. Just always smile at the interviewer even if you feel nervous. And the CO will warm up to you.

hi.... i've just arrived here in the US last April and my passport is still the green one. it is going to expire by 2012. so i think your passport is still ok. unless the news you heard about came after March this year.

PhilippinesIs it true?
hello.

i came in the US through k-1 too. my now-husband bought our tickets through internet and it's a packaged one so it's cheaper.

they may be advising you to buy a ticket in the Philippines coz the cost would usually cover the travel tax imposed on filipinos leaving the country. whereas if you buy the ticket abroad, you would be asked to pay travel tax in the airport like i did. the travel tax is around PhP1600.

so there's no problem if you'd buy tickets in the US so you could be sure that you have the same flight. seating arrangement is you usually done in the airport when you check in so you should be early to get the seats you prefer.

good luck on your travel. have a safe journey.

PhilippinesDelbros fee vanished?
There's no more document verification fee. But your wife have to bring NSO copies of her birth certificate, your marriage certificate and Certificate of Marriage Index during the interview.

These are very important documents as these are the first ones they ask from interviewees.

If you need more information on NSO certified documents, look at this site: https://www.ecensus....re/frmIndex.asp

Good Luck on your wife's interview.
