Hello, we got approved 2 months ago and already scheduled our interview next month.

But  few days ago i got an instruction letter from Us Embassy  and i suppose that is what they call the packet 3.

When i open the letter i see instruction letter, 2 pamphlet (English and tagalog version) copy of i129f and this Record of IBIS Query. 

 

My question is :

 

There is three names on the Ibis record, one for the petitioner and two different first names for the Beneficiary which the other name was its Nickname. I am wondering because the name was my nickname but we didn't submit any nickname on the application how could this happen? 

 

I hope someone could give me some insights and help me understand this.

I have read through your sources and quotes, but I know that each and every one of us interprets these quotes and sources in many different meanings. I have to even say that among the greatest scholars of Islam they disagreed, but they also respected each other because GOD only knows best.

What matters now isn't who is right and who is wrong. We all lack all the sufficient knowledge about such issue and there are exceptions that just fit every situation. It is up to God to judge us not US judge each other. What matters are your intentions, so keep them to yourselves and God.

Trying to prove one’s wrong isn't going to give us all an answer. It just adds up to the whole drama and makes it worse. Our opinions are mostly based on our experiences and each one of them is different.

Hello Lynn...............so happy for your news. We have been on "PENDING NAME CHECKS" since MArch 3, 2008. We are so frustrated with this waiting. We are basing our timeline on how yours has gone(similar to ours).....so maybe soon? Only God knows. DOS keeps saying pending....things look good, keep checking. Cairo says same answer---pending AP. Anyway , we have not been on here alot, is just depressing sometimes. But still keeping faith and hope. Good luck to Ahmed and you in your life. biggrin.gif

When I said I really can't trust anything the embassy in cairo says, I think I was very close to being right. I checked with DOS and they confirmed that the visa was issued on July 31, 2008, but then my fiance got a call on Thursday and his mom picked up and someone from the embassy staff told her to have my fiance send in his passport. The thing is they kept the passport since the day of the interview.

My fiance went to the embassy today to see what they wanted, but they refused to let him in. Right now I don't know what we should do. Is this normal? They have the passport since February, and we were told twice the visa was issued. Why are they requesting the passport if they already have it.

I am so confused and feeling very depressed after being so happy. wacko.gif

I don't usually post on here because I am very new to this forum thing. My fiance had his interview back on Feb 27th, and since then we have been in AP, reviewed for issuance, more AP, pending in cairo, no pending in DC...and the rest of the known limbo.

I e-mailed cairo 2 weeks ago and they finally replied saying:

Dear Sir:

The visa is about to be issued and mailed to you by the DHL.

Generally, and there will be exceptions of course:

If you are going through the Philippines, Vietnam, Russia etc etc the USC will be male and will be older that the beneficiary, sometimes by quite a bit.

If you go through MENA countries it is the opposite, most petitioners are female and will be older than the beneficiary.

Yes we do have the senator and the congressman working on the case also, and the case haven't been sent back yet,, its still at the embassy, if You check VJ clearly you will see that majority the women are older and they got approved, some of them went on AP and then was approved.Right now out priority is to keep the case at the embassy.
