My father had a stroke 2 days ago, and now the doctor is saying he got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. They're giving him a little over a year to live. My lone grandmother (out of 4 grandparents) asking me to be there for dad; while I am not against this, when I went to see my dad his answers shocked me; I always thought he'd be the one to be supportive of my fiancee, and my unborn child...instead, he asked me to take a paternal DNA test, and to file a pre nuptial agreement, do not trust this filipina...   I am already hurt and depressed and stressed out. I don't know what to do. I send my fiancee money every week. I've followed the K-1 visa flow chart on this web site and for the past 2 months ever since I got the NOA2 back in December? I've asked her if she's received the "packet" that has all the necessary information and documents she needs to fill out as per the requirement. She keeps telling me nothing has arrived, yet, she took the medical exam on Feb. 12th, and now her interview is on Mar. 3rd.    I'm asking the VJ community; what  should I do? From when I left the Philippines back in June 2013, I had no doubt that the baby is mine; my father is a very very very wise man, a man of few words, but when he does/did speak, you better definitely listen to him; I did file for FMLA through my work, then (BECAUSE OF HER) I cancelled the FMLA because she, and her father, ensured me she would be in Hawaii by Valentines day. (Feb 14th.) Well that came and went, and she still ain't here. When I "called her bluff" and said "I'm flying to the PI to witness the birth of my son," she said, "...does that mean that I won't be able to come to Hawaii ...?"    I see videos on YouTube about hospitals in Manila where BIRTH is FREE. Over 2000 births daily. If you were me, what questions would you ask her? It seems the more and more closer it gets to the due date, the less communication we are having. She claims her phone got stolen on a jeepney, and can only use her now work email to contact me.    Right now I'm looking at $1200-$1300 USD to fly from HAWAII to PI for the entire month of March just to be with her and witness the birth. Each case is different. I wouldn't be worried though. I guess this is the time they are preparing your brown envelope and any other things they need to do. Soon it will change to issued and you'll be food to go . If you are going through Pakistan they can take years.   Varies, longer it seem for Countries with a T connection.
