IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresApproval after Notice Of Intent to Revoke

I'm sorry, yer missing a step or two.

He needs another interview, so the IV unit will cut a letter to him, informing him of the interview appointment date.

Then after the interview, there is a big chance he'll be put in mandatory AP (most pakistani males go through this)

Then at some point, the visa is mailed out to him.

so, whilst being re-affirmed is a mondo cool thing - it ain't over till it's over.

Okay my husband was called today, so the least we know is that our case has made its way back to Islamabad. They told him that he will have to go to another interview...you all were right about that one :( ...anyway what should he expect at this interview? Does anyone know? Because I was told that our case was being sent on for the issuance of the visa. What are the chances he will walk out visa in hand? Thank you all so much for your continued support.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresApproval after Notice Of Intent to Revoke

Filed a I-130 for my husband in 2011 was approved. At my husbands interview the officer decided that our case was fraud. Therefor returned it to CIS. Well I had to prove my case all over again. Alhamduillah I proved it and it has now been approved for the second time. So now my husband will get his visa. My question now is??? CIS Approved it Sept. 19,2012 and Sent it to the NVC on Oct. 8,2012 it was received at the NVC. NVC has since forwarded it on to US Embassy in Islamabad, It left the NVC on Oct.10,2012....How long will it take for it to get back to Islamabad and for them to give my husband his visa??? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. As it is I miss my husband and it has been almost a year since I last saw him.

I was told by the US CIS that our case was being forwarded to the NVC to process the visa. NVC has now sent it on to the embassy in Islamabad for them to issue the visa.

You would be looking at Travel Insurance which includes Medical Insurance.

I do not know the market in Morocco, I am sure they must have one.

Normal Insurance practice for somebody with such a condition would require a letter from the their Doctor confirming they are fit to travel.

The US is the last place to be if you have a serious medical condition, unless you have pots of money.

Middle East and North AfricaNew to experience's of Egypt's Embassy

Thank you. I would do everything different from the last time. I did not even expect another relationship, just i knew i had hurt him. And wanted to make sure he did not hate me. I never excepted what happened, would of happened. He is a busy man, and travels a lot. So slow it has to be. lol Besides it takes time and planing and money to go abraod to visit. But most of all I am worring about my self more then anything. I am going back to school and get me back on track. What happens ,happens.

Perhaps as he travels he could do the visiting?

Especially as it sounds that the area you live in may be culturally challenging for him.

I do not keep that close a watch on it.

Sorry it has happened to you, but it does seem very rare.

It has come up a few times on British Expats, but the timelines have been relatively short, even for those with a MENA background.

Middle East and North AfricaSecurity checks for MENA men in foreign consulates

I'm a British female applying through London - I have been in AP for six months and one day, and I'm still waiting. Try telling me that's normal :( My interview was three minutes long and I was told to expect my visa in a few days, but possibly a few weeks because there was a backlog. It was only when nothing arrived and I called the embassy to ask about my passport that I found out I was in AP, and a call to DoS confirmed that my 'documents were complete, it was a good interview, and the relationship is recognised as valid', so why am I in AP, and why has it taken so long?!? Who knows.

I hope your SO's stay in AP won't be a long one

That is a first for me. The only other cases I have seen were people with a MENA background and male.

AP is normal.

The question is the likely time line.

Just an observation but it seems that those applying though non MENA countries do not wait so long.

Middle East and North AfricaHow Much AP is Enough??
If you have an approved interview usually you will go into AP.

2 months to 2 years, most seem to be done within 6 months.

Middle East and North AfricaFemales Polygamy
I thought when you re married in the US you had to show evidence that your previous marriage had been terminated.

Certainly if they file for immigration benefits they will need to do so.

If your friend thinks about it she will soon realise how silly her assumption is, just move country and you are divorced, a family moves from say Canada and the parents are instantly now unmarried...

Middle East and North AfricaWomen older then there fiance

Not sure where you are referencing when you say it's "the norm".
It's typically not the norm for an older woman to be involved with younger men
in MENA countries. If you're talking about on VJ, I don't know if that's an accurate description either.
To say it's the norm (whether on VJ or in MENA) seems to give a false sense of safety to the OP, which isn't necessarily fair.
In MENA countries, it is typically not the norm for older women to be involved with younger men. This can often be considered a red flag for the consulate. So, as another poster indicated, you have to ensure that your proof of relationship is very strong. Another thing that seems to be helpful, from what others in your situation have indicated, is if you are able to show that his friends and family members are supportive of your relationship.

Here as in VJ.

I was not suggesting security, more community.

Much better if they can show they can pay their own way.

It is their application, not a lot to do with you.

Classic example of confusion arising from second hand info.

In your first post you mention immigrating, now that is not an issue so all answers were irrelevant.

We live in a multi cultural, some cultures have very different norms.

Oddly this would include a male marrying a much older female.

Unless it would appear she offered immigration benefits.

From what I have read about your case, there would seem to be a very very small chance of him getting a visa, without all this.
