Canada	Hi All! AOS Time!	Hi Everyone! I'm finally back...sorry to have been away for so long...planning a wedding and actually having it took up soooo much time! Here's a pic from our wedding just this past Sat. May 3, 2008 in Key West.  IMG_1064_Edit.jpg   250.25KB   38 downloads We just registered our wedding certificate/license and now comes the fun part with all the AOS, EAD and AP paper work! I've got everything together ready for submission (AOS, EAD and AP) however each form is asking for 2 passport photos each. That would mean 6 photos in the package. Canada	Name Change?	FYI I tried to go change my FL driver's license with my marriage license but they wouldn't let me. They said that I need to produce my Resident's card or my Canadian Passport with the updated married name. I had no problems changing my U.S bank info or my SSN. Canada	proof of relationship - what's required?	We just brought photos and our weddding invitation. Our photos had the date stamp on it from the camera so we had pictures of us going way back...we didn't bring phone records either. I did bring letters and cards we had sent one another as well. Canada	Body Worlds Exhibit	We saw it when it was at the Science Centre in Toronto....amazing truly! But it was crazy busy! People packed shoulder to shoulder and you had to buy a ticket for a particular time frame. They actually let us hold a liver that had gone through that 'plasticization' (sp). Canada	K1 Visa	we've flown with our dog back and forth many times.... best suggestion is play with them, run around at home or the park before you put them in the carrier so that they are all pooped. Canada	Crossing the canadian border question	I say cross the border prepared with all your legal embarassing paperwork so that in the worse case if they do ask for more details for your long 'vacation' from the U.S. you'll have the evidence of why you were away for so long. Think of it when you applied for your Residency.....you probably had an interview somewhere along the line and over prepared with your paperwork just incase I think you'll be fine because you have a good/legal reason all documented, embarassing albeit. Take this opportunity to enjoy your surroundings before you move! We had to wait almost a year before we got to finally be together and it was hard but I found keeping myself busy to be the best cure! Enjoy your time together! Hug and kiss each other lots!
